Tried to get this product working for going on two weeks now and absolute silence from support channel. I did get a couple of responses in 48 hour cycles where I was asked to provide login to the site so they could trouble shoot but I monitor the logins and they didn’t bother. Unfortunate, but it seems this is one of those half baked products with NO support.
I am trying to get a refund as the product doesnt work and support will not assist, but that also seems to be falling on deaf ears.
BEWARE: there is a banner offering 50% discount with a count down timer, but this is a nasty marketing ploy as the counter just resets and the discounted price appears to be the actual price. This type of dishonesty should be a clear indication of the integrity of the person/s behind this plugin.

The potential is incredible. However, as noted, permissions don’t work. Additionally, as someone who has used WordPress for over 15 years, I expect to be able to delete at the table level. I can’t. Unless everyone is out of the system, I can’t delete tasks from a project. I need more reporting so I want to upgrade but 2 days have passed without a word….. Deeply troubling. I don’t know what “fast support” means, but I am not seeing it. Just an automated response from Zen Desk. I may have to delete it and go another route….

It looks good at first, but you can’t actually use it. The entire permissions structure is bugged. Owner does nothing. Client does nothing. You can’t easily just assign people to be part of a project, and you can’t let anyone do anything without letting them do everything (full admin of the plugin settings and edit all projects). So unfortunately it’s entirely useless because it’s not functional for more than one person who is also the admin. Further, it is clear that even if the permissions weren’t totally broken, you can’t really use it in a practical sense without buying a plugin to allow front end edits. However, you can’t buy just that plugin, you have to buy a whole package. Yearly. So turns out there is no such thing as free, it’s a teaser at best, but given the bugs and apparent lack of support, this is a complete waste of time. Bummer, it LOOKS great, but they put a lot of time into making something useless and apparently abandoned it.

With tons of unanswered issues in support, I knew plugin support is really bad. I contacted other programmers in the support threads to at least confirm the extensions worked and purchased the plugin anyway, thinking with the base code I could rectify any upcoming issues. There are not many other plugins that do what this says it does.
BIG ISSUE:-
After purchase nothing appears in the downloads! And there is no way of registering a license key in the plugin to download from there either! I contacted their support several times – no answer.
They have a rolling promo on the site with “50% off ends in X days” which then automatically restarts. Do not be fooled you will never receive your extensions.
I had to request a chargeback through PayPal and I was refunded.
Completely frustrating and a waste of time!
I really wanted to like this plugin. I gave it every chance I could.

I have had UpStream for 2 years. 4 weeks ago, they issued an update that completely broke my site. I have emailed support no less than 6 times for a fix. I received 2 automated responses, and one actual response with a new set of update files which…you guessed it, broke my site. I expect better and more prompt service from a paid plugin, especially since they update was issued the week prior to my renewal.
I was forced to renew to try and get assistance, and basically threw my money away.
If I could give them zero stars I would.

My firm is using this system and we are very happy!
It is intuitive and easy to use. It is very nice to duplicate projects, modify them and save them as templates to use as new projects as required. That saves a fair amount of time in getting a project fired up and in use.
Overall, this is an excellent tool for us and improves our productivity, organization, time & budget tracking/management, team discussions/notes and communications.
I bought the ‘Enterprise’ level of the UpStream offering. That includes priority support. I did have an issue right in the beginning that they quickly responded to. My issue was resolved and I must commend them for the rapid response!
The UpStream Project Manager system is just the right fit for our firm. I’m sure it is more than some teams/groups need and possibly not enough for others, but it is great for my small Website Development firm.
I look forward to seeing how the system continues to mature and grow over time.

1 year ago support told me that will make reports in a month and I bought Pro version. Reports still doesn’t work. No answer for mail for days.
After update WP some extensions causes a fatall errors. If I disable it I can’t see all my data. Worst plugin ever.

Good plugin overall with all the add-ons.
Pros:
1) Very powerful. Can build extremely simple or complicated project management tool without much coding knowledge. A limited coding knowledge will bring this to the next level.
2) Good documentation (helpful when stuck). Highly recommend to read basic doc to get familiarized with terminology (client, client user, owner, etc).
3) Was able to create decent working website in 24 hours (not bad for me this was first time building project management site for a client).
4) Helpful and timely response from tech support – came within 24 hours.
Cons:
1) A bit pricey given that some add-ons are a must and cost eventually adds up. Currently 50% sale makes it much more reasonable / competitive.
2) No support to save uploaded files on cloud directly bypassing WP/server folders. Integration with a cloud plugin will be great (have recommended this to developer).

What I really liked about this plugin:
– great filter and report functionality.
– intuitiv, easy to work with
– very nice design (User Interface is great) -> really love it
– performance is good
– Backend and Frontend is structured well
– API functionality. so you can exchange data
– ability to restrict access (on a very detailled level)
what i miss (maybe something for a next release):
– is a KanBan board.
– it would be great to nest (group) activities – so that you can drill-down activities (now they only can be grouped downto level 2)
– some consistency checks (an activity can be outside of the so called milestone) etc.
– the term “milestone” is used more as an activity group than a milestone (milestine should ba more a date than a range)
Above are minor aspects – Overall it surely deserves a 5 star rating ! The best Project Mgmt plugin I could find for WordPress.

Very good application, as it uses the WordPress interface to a great extent, its resulting use is very simple and intuitive, it has all the options that you can wish for a good project manager, I find the possibility of using HTML formats and links especially interesting. on homework. It also has very interesting paid extensions such as cloning projects or editing from the front and others. Very recommendable.

Anyone who says this plugin is TOO EXPENSIVE clearly has NO BUSINESS running any sort of project management software! This is the best bang for your buck you are going to find in PM software. There are other apps that have better UI/UX but at a MUCH higher price point and not really any better functionality. UpStream’s PM tool really fits the bill for an inexpensive but very functional PM app. We are happy with UpStream’s PM plugin for WordPress.

We are a university group who have used this plugin (including the licensed extensions) for over a year. Suddenly it became impossible to add tasks or comments in the front-end, making the product useless to us. Support was of no use. However, we managed to solve the problem by clicking the “Add default UpStream capabilities ” under General Settings. Be careful using this product, as support is limited.
