i thought it worked until i install and run some test on it. Dont think there’s any developers working on this since its “abandon” 3 years back

Works as intended. Had a few minor glitches and developer fixed these within the hour. This plugin allows me to restrict members and subscribers from uploading huge profile pics that would otherwise bog down my site and eat up my amazon s3 media storage!

Plugin is not working with my wordpress. I tried my plugin with version 4.3 and no it not restricting user quota limit

I had a custom function to limit the file size, but needed something to limit the total upload allocation. This plugin does BOTH – perfect for community sites.

This plugin is excellent. It does exactly what it says, allows you to put a limit on the size of each file uploaded but, more importantly, allows you to set a disk/sever space upload limit on each user.
So simple to do.
1) Activate the plugin
2) Go to your Media menu and you’ll seen an extra “Upload Quota” option to click on
3) Change the upload and server space restriction settings (set in MB so it is so easy to do)
4) Click from the list on any user you DON’T want including in the restrictions
5) Click Save changes
Then you’re done. For me it means that I can make websites for other companies, let them loose on their sites, and not worry that they’re going to fill up my server with files that haven’t been resized for optimum use. Brilliant!

I was on a verge of hiring a freelancer until I came across this plugin.

Thanks

I got this plugin working perfectly last night.
About 3 months ago had some issues getting it to work. But it was probably something on my end.
Must have been a conflict with a plugin or theme.
Another thing that helped was I refreshed the page where my “User Front-End Post Uploader” was each time to see the “file size and disk space limit” adjustments from the plugin.
===============
As for the PHP error at LINE 118…
All I had to do was
Edit the ” upload-quota-per-user.php ” file on line 118 by changing code from…
$user_id = get_post($id, ARRAY_A)['post_author'];
into
$user_id = get_post($id, ARRAY_A);
$user_id = $user_id['post_author'];
===========================
Thanks for this one. All the best.

I can’t activate the plugin, the following error appears:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /var/www/……………../wp-content/plugins/upload-quota-per-user/upload-quota-per-user.php on line 118
