I’m h
Getting between 6-8 update notifications per day. How can I stop the notifications?
For some reason, I never receive an update. Updates are available for plugins and themes. Even before the upgrade to 3.4.1 of WordPress and before that, 3.4, I wasn’t receiving update notifications.
I do receive the test e-mail without issues.
]]>Fantastic plugin, thanks.
The only thing it is missing is that the Subject, sadly, is generic and we run many blogs – so the emails are just confusing,
I saw your earlier post re this, but I’d prefer not to either hack your plugin or add a 4-line plugin just to add a hook to fix the subject.
Could the default subject be something like:
Subject: blog.domain.com – WordPress update needed
Or alternatively could this at least be a setting?
If you want I can write the code and submit a patch? ??
Cheers and thanks for a GREAT little plugin!!!

Dear Jon,
The plugin is great, thanks a lot for it. ?? Could you please make it so it’s possible to only receive one notification per update? I keep e-mails that contain things that need doing in my inbox what results in duplicate e-mails when I get repeated notifications.
Thanks!

Hello,
Thanks for your plugin, working like a charm.
Is it an idea to put the name of the blog or blogurl at the subject of the e-mail instead of “Updates are available for your WordPress site”.
I have a few websites, so i will be handy of you see which site needs an update.
Regards,
Bert
]]>Nice plugin but I get a PHP fatal error on trying to send the test email :
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function home_url() in /var/www/vhosts/x.org/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/update-notifier/update-notifier.php on line 196, referer: https://www.x.org/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=update-notifier
It seems this will not happen in the test email only. Is there another file to include ? Not sure why that function is not found.
Regards.
I installed the plugin on the main site of a network, but I’m not getting any notifications.
Test emails go through and there is no trace of any emails in the server’s logs.
I’m using WP Security, but it doesn’t prevent me from seeing the notifications in the admin panel, so it shouldn’t interfere with the notification plugin.
Any suggestions?
]]>I have this plugin (v1.4) installed on two different wordpress installations (both 3.0.1) and I am seeing the same issue on both.
I keep getting emails saying:
“It’s time to update the version of WordPress running at ….. from version 2.9.2 to 3.0.”
They are both at 3.0.1, so I can’t see why this is still happening.
In addition, on one of the blogs, I keeping getting a notice to update a theme that I deleted a long while back.
In both cases, it also doesn’t seem to be picking up on new plugins/themes that need updating.
Is there a way to reset the plugin? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn’t seem to work. Is there a table somewhere I need to delete (or that is perhaps accidentally locked)?
Thanks.
-Adam
]]>I take care of a bunch of blogs and thought it’s be swell to have the domain/url/blogname in the subject line of the email that goes out – just a way for me to prioritize a bit…
$subject = get_bloginfo(‘name’) . “: Updates are available for your WordPress site”;
The name and ‘Updates’ appear first in the subject as to not disappear if the subject is cut off…
And… a big thanks for this plugin!
