Everyone (also official documentation) writes to NOT change GUID when renaming a domain name in WordPress.

But I migrated dozens of websites and I always did. With no problems.

Why should I leave a wrong/old domains/URL in WordPress database ?

Can someone explain me better the reason of this ?

I finally figured out how to install the plug and did everything properly, yet none of my links work! When I click on my posts or comments, the pages are not found.

Please help me.
