I’ve added the plugin to my page and selected to show the icons floating, in a shortcode and with a widget but nothing works. I can’t see the icons on the page.
I’m using colibri and just upgraded to WP 6.7

so I added the share icons via Widget and also via shortcode. From each product page, it all works fine, but from the Shop page, it shares one and the same product page instead of the shop page. Any help would be excellent!

I guess I don’t need this script at all. Can you fix it? It happens on every site I am using your plugin.

I have installed the plugin “Social Media Share Buttons & Social Sharing Icons” because I would like to display the follower counter for my Instagram Business account. However, it seems that the follower count is not being recognized, as it consistently shows “0.”
Any idea what might be causing this issue?

My team uses the plugin Siteimprove. Last week it detected several thousand broken links on our website. This seemed to be caused because Facebook sdk.js was malformed and being appended to all URLs. For example: https://www.mywebsite.com/https/connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js
I was able to track this down to the Social Media and Share Icons (Ultimate Social Media) plugin. On line 502 of the sfsiocns_OnPosts.php file is where the error was present. It was:
js.src = “https//connect.facebook.net/<?php echo $icons_language; ?>/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v3.2”;
Updating this to the following seemed to fix the problem:
js.src = “https://connect.facebook.net/<?php echo $icons_language; ?>/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v3.2”;
It seemed the src was missing the “:”. Just wanted to log this in case it is an error with the plugin itself and not just our instance so the issue doesn’t arise again in the future.

]]>As of a week ago, the facebook share button at the end of EACH POST on my food blog has disappeared. This is no good. I’ve reached out to wordpress.com for assistance and while they cant help as this involves a 3rd party plugin, they did say “the issue seems to be related to the “ultimate-social-media-icons” plugin that’s currently active on your site. ?When that plugin is disabled, the “Facebook” sharing button shows up without any issues. ?When that plugin is enabled, the “Facebook” sharing button doesn’t show up.” They then advised me to seek help from this forum.
The share button for whatsapp, twitter, email and etc is displayed as usual, only the Facebook button has disappeared for some reason. (It is located at the end of each post – after the address, opening hours and sign off) Kindly help.
]]>On mobile only: (desktop, tablet work properly,) when you click the Facebook share button, then click the “share” box that appears above the icon it properly links to Facebook, lasts a couple of seconds then switches to a Facebook error message that says:
“Sorry, something went wrong.
We are working on it and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can.”
This had previously been working for a long time. Now this error appears every time the share is attempted.

I just purchased the Premium version of Ultimate Social Media Icons but when I try to download the link emailed to me, it gives me the following error message:
“The link you followed has expired. Please try again.”
When I try to upload it again, it continues to give me the same message.

On mobile when the icons are clicked it send users to the social site on mobile, not the relevant app.
Is there a way for the icons to direct the user to the relevant app. For example direct the user to the WhatsApp app instead of WhatsApp web?
Or the Facebook app instead of Facebook on the browser?

- I’ve been unable to find this in the documentation or videos unless I missed it. I created a WP contact form. I see the embed button but it only gives choices for pages on my site. How do I connect it to my “Contact Me” button so that it comes up when someone clicks the button? I do know how to write code for clickable email and phone call links but not sure where to put it. Or is there a better way to do this other than the form or code?
- I have two sets of social media icons. One is on the left side of the home page and are vertically stacked. The others are below my profile pic (and I’ve entered my social media URLs on them) Are the social media icons on the left from your theme or from a plugin I have installed? I can’t find an installed social media plugin and did not install one intentionally. Do you know how to disable the vertically stacked icons on the left?? I want to use the icons below my profile picture instead.
