Hi,
Since my server moved to PHP 8.0 the plugin creates multiple errors and cannot be activated anymore. Will the plugin (that I was quite satisfied with so far) be updated anytime soon to ensure compatibility, or is there a way to migrate to another plugin the taxonomies I created over the last years?
Cheers,
Maxime
I upgraded to the latest from version 1.1 and my site cant load.
I receive:
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /chroot/home/site1/www.website.com/html/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-cms/modules/configuration/class-xydac-ultimate-cms-configuration.php on line 47

]]>Hi,
After upgrading to WordPress 4.5, WYSIWYG editor no longer displays content and link buttons do not work in the WYSIWYG editor. HTML editor still works. My site relies on the custom taxonomy as an organizational strategy.

]]>Hi all,
I’ve got a problem displaying the custom values for my custom taxonomy.
Let say my custonomy is manufacturers : BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Ferrari…
On each post, I select the manufacturers I speak about. There’s always one but sometimes two or three.
In the head of each archive page for the manufacturers, I want to display the custom values for this manufacturer (eg: website URL).
But when using shortcode [xy_manufacturer field=”website”] it displays all the manufacturers values from all posts listed on the manufacturer archive page.
Eg : on the BMW archive page, if a post speak about BMW and Audi, the website URL will display https://bmw.comhttps://audi.com rather than only https://bmw.com
Thanks for your help.
]]>I’m using Ultimate Taxonomy Manager which is not being updated. I found this plugin is mentioned on the details page as the upgraded version.
My question is: If I install Ultimate CMS will it:
1. Overwrite the settings?
2. Add to the settings?
3. Or will it apply everything I have now and allow me to continue to build?
Or alternatively, how do apply those custom settings over to this new plugin?

]]>Hi,
Two questions:
I love what this plugin claims to do, but I’ve followed the instructions exactly. When I put the shortcode in a post, it doesn’t display anything at all. Is there another setting I need to “enable” for shortcodes to work?
Second- is there a way to access a field of a specific member of a taxonomy, rather than ALL the members of a field in a taxonomy? As in…
[xy_taxonomyname field="fieldname" slug="slug-name"]
Thanks!!
]]>Hi.
Please, do a favour to people,and people’s time.
I talk about “Taxonomy Manager” (the old plugin, no more maintained).
IN THE TITLE, and in description, write, that this plugin is obsolete (not just a bolded sentence under the description), but completely remove this plugin from repository too, and in readme/description, tell, that we should use “Ultimate CMS…”, as i have wasted many time installing and testing this plugin, and have suddenly viewed the message that this plugin is obsolete.
so, think from people’s view, and do a good job to people. and remove this completely.
Hello Deepak, after defining new custom post types I see that some of them are not listed in the left navigation menu of the WP backend.
Why? Is there a limit for the number of the displayed menu items?
]]>Both a custom post type and a custom taxonomy has the option “Show in Navigation Menu” set as “TRUE”. But under “Appereance” => “Menus” there are none of them to add them as navigation menu items.
Is this a bug or do I look at the wrong place?

In looking at some cached by Google pages, I see some of the info I was needing, but I do not see how to display all custom taxonomies with their respective fields. Example would be:
Taxonomy: Teacher
fields in teacher – Name
image
bio
I would want to iterate through these producing a nice readable list. Are there any examples on your site that you could direct me to.
]]>I am trying to create one page that I can auto populate fields,
for example I have a list of pages, all that share the same formating , but to get different widgets to work I will have to load specific entries, so is it possible to use one of these crm tools and just plug in the parameters I need to pass?
example
Title 1 : Place a
Title 2 : Place b
so on another page I can have location name :place a (from another list).
and for the time or another widget for that page I would pass in the parameters but have the same output displayed for all pages, I have over 200 pages I need to do and was trying to find a faster way to do so.
Thanks,
]]>Hi, I like the look of the wordpress Ultimate CMS plugin you have developed.
There seems to be a problem with teh plugin though and the latest version of wordpress (3.9.1) as there is no drop down menu visible plus you cannot alter any of the settings?
Is this going to be updated soon to be compatible with the latest version of wordpress?
Thanks,

Hi!
This might be a dumb question, but how can I display my custom taxonomies?
In the file where Tags and Categories Portfolio are display, I have:
if($categories=get_the_term_list( get_the_ID(), 'portfolio_cat', '', ', ', '')) {
$html .= '<div class="row categories"><strong>'.esc_attr__('Categories:', 'Twoot').'</strong>'.$categories.'</div>';
}
if($tags=get_the_term_list( get_the_ID(), 'portfolio_tag', '', ', ', '')) {
$html .= '<div class="row tags"><strong>'.esc_attr__('Tags:', 'Twoot').'</strong>'.$tags.'</div>';
}
How can I add a custom taxonomie called “districts” for example?
I’ve been playing around for a while, but always getting fatal error ??
Thank you in advance…!

]]>Hi there, First I would like to tell you that your plugin, Ultimate CMS is an awesome plugin. It’s really convenient to setup custom fields, custom post type, and custom taxonomies using the plugin. However I found that your plugin doesn’t support managing custom taxonomy fields for default taxonomy: categories and tags. Also I can’t manage to add custom fields to default post type: post. Why do you disable this feature? Thanks!

]]>Hi
I currently use the simple shortcode
[XY_shortstories name_before='<li>' name_after='</li>']
to display a list of stories attached to a page / post. (eg: https://www.lankhmar.co.uk/shadows-with-eyes/)
The items within the taxonomy also have some custom fields attached (first published date, images etc), I cannot fine a way to display several fields?
if I add field (field=”firstpub”) then it just shows that field? How can show all fields associated with the taxonomy entry and it’s name eg:
storyname1, firstpub, artwork
storyname2, firstpub, artwork
etc.
]]>Hi Xydac,
Thanks for Ultimate CMS, I love the custom taxonomies!
I created a custom taxonomy called “regions” and when I click on a region on the front-end, I want the items to display using the same template that Categories are using.
Here’s an example of how I want it to show using my current theme:
https://demo.astoundify.com/marketify/downloads/category/tumblr/
Can you please tell me where in the code you determine which template is used to show the results?
If you have time, I would be more than willing to pay you to solve this for me. Let me know what I can send you to make this more clear :).
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I have been pulling my hair out for 2 hours now for a tiny issue I have with ultimate CMS. I am trying to display a custom taxonomy field using the shortcode [xy_{name of taxonomy}]. It works, but as you can see here https://take.ms/wn3Du, there is no spacing between the 2 values that I have on my post https://take.ms/QqbTp
Any idea how I can add a space? Thanks, Vincent

I want to be able to return Occasions that are “current” based on today’s date. I have tried a few different methods, but WP doesn’t seem to acknowledge my meta data request. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.
Here are the two methods I have tried.
This one comes back empty/null
$meta_args['meta_query'] = array(
array(
'key' => 'merch_start_date',

'value' => $today,
'type' => 'DATE',
'compare' => '<='
)
);
$meta_query = new WP_Meta_Query( $meta_query_args );
And this one ignores the meta_query entirely…
$args = array(
'orderby' => 'name',
'order' => 'ASC',
'hide_empty' => true,
'exclude' => array(),
'exclude_tree' => array(),
'include' => array(),
'number' => '',
'fields' => 'all',
'slug' => '',
'parent' => 0,
'hierarchical' => true,
'child_of' => 0,
'get' => '',
'name__like' => '',
'pad_counts' => false,
'offset' => '',
'search' => '',
'cache_domain' => 'core'
);
$args['meta_query'] = array(
array(
'key' => 'merch_start_date',
'value' => $today,
'type' => 'DATE',
'compare' => '<='
),
array(
'key' => 'holiday_date',
