This plugin hasn’t been updated in a couple of years and hasn’t been tested with the latest versions of WordPress. Is it still being supported or has it been abandoned?

Hi! Is possible to hide the featured image of each tweet?
]]>Hey, so I have a different plugin generating the Twitter cards and I am using this plugin to help embed tweets directly into a post. However it auto inserts DIFFERENT card code and causes conflicts.
I cannot see any setting to disable this feature, but if it’s possible can you let me know, please?
Thanks!
]]>Footer 1 issue:
I have not changed the code but recently found that the twitter feed through this plugin/widget doesn’t show anymore.
Latest wordpress, classic editor and latest firefox
It works on mobile and tablet and desktop with all other browsers perfectly.
Any tips?
To reproduce: visit a page that loads the plugin and runs PHP 7.3.
Result: No content displayed. From httpd error.log:

The official Twitter widget Ive always used on my page is no longer working. It allows me to move it to the sidebar area and enter configuration information, but when I click Save, the button clicks but it doesnt actually save and wont embed on the page. Then, if I dont delete the widget from the sidebar, when I try to reload or navigate away, it asks if Im sure I want to do that because I have unsaved changes.
On the details page it says it has not been tested with the current version of WordPress, so that must be the issue. That’s unfortunate, I was very happy with the way it worked and havent been fond of others Ive found. I posted this in a different forum, and it was suggested I post it here as well.
]]>Hi guys
I have tried to specify a height for my twitter widget however nothing seems to work.
Even if i try and make it have scrollbars that doesnt seem to work either.
I want to embed a Twitter List on my WordPress website. Twitter provides the means either by twitter list url or by shortcode. The ref page is at https://github.com/twitter/wordpress/wiki/Embedded-List-Timeline
What they don’t seem to provide is a means of excluding retweets.
Is it possible to create a filter in my site’s functions.php to filter out retweets?

]]>I’m using this plugin JUST to obtain the Periscope “OnAir” button. when I use the widget however the button doesn’t show up just a generic text link that shows my periscope @ name which can be clicked on… that is it. You get no button. Please help
]]>Hi, the tweet within a tweet feature does not seem to be supported by this plugin. It just shows the url of the embedded tweet, but does not expand it to show the tweet the way it does on twitter.com or the twitter apps.
Example of embedded tweet display on twitter.com

Hi,
I have used the plugin and wonder if a user on my webpage click on a tweet, and it opens in a new tab – will that link has rel=”noreferrer noopener” – if not it could be a security issue?
I have deactivated the plugin now because of this.
Please help!
All the best!
Simon
Hello,
How can i replace “Loadmore” ajax button to pagination to display recent tweet.
]]>I am simply wanting the Twitter to continuously load and scroll with my infinite scroll website. I love the widget otherwise but when it stops it makes the site look empty. Is their a fix?
]]>I am referring to this site.
https://github.com/twitter/wordpress/wiki/Embedded-Tweet
In Supported shortcode parameters,
work: id, theme, link_color
not work: conversation, cards, width
All plugins are stopped. (Except for twitter plugin)
]]>I have been using the Twitter plugin (widget on the every single page on the website) and it was working fine until a few months ago. Now the widget only shows the “Tweets by ….” message on Chrome, Firefox or Edge. It seems to work absolutely fine on my mobile phone using Chrome, though.
Doing some testing with Chrome, I can see the timeline if I open an incognito browser window but only the first time I open the website.
My chrome installation has no extensions and I have cleared the cache a few times.
I am using a cache plugin on WordPress but I have used for a long time and it was never a problem with the Twitter plugin.
Any help appreciated.
]]>Hello Support & Community,
is there a way to show the “Tweet”-Button only on posts? I really like the button but i don’t want it shown on the pages of my blog.
Any help would be great.
Thank you all!

The twitter:card for the WooCommerce shop page is unexpected. For example, it doesnt have the actual page name, or the name shop, but rather has the name Archives: Products (see card validator). Is there any way of changing this, and other attributes like content and image, using the twitter plugin if necessary?
]]>Looks like line 152 of TweetIntent.php

Can we do that locally ahead of the next update and have it work?
]]>While using Twitter Search widget on a selected page, it seems to make a call to platform.twitter.com on all pages. This increasing the request and hence the load time. Is there a way to make that call only on where the widget is loaded?
]]>I’m trying to use the supplied widget for this plugin, but the parameters for controlling widget height/width do not work. I can see in the source that they have minimum values set, but even if I put in values above these, they are not saved and have no effect on the display of the widget.
I note that the plugin has not been updated for 8 months, so for a vendor supplied plugin, it’s not great that it’s not been updated more recently, or apparently tested with the latest version of WordPress.
]]>I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I don’t get anything to work. I tried the follow button widget and the tracking code widget. Both within Beaver Themer by the way but that shouldn’t make any difference. Both generate zero output. Not a single line or even no character is generated from these widget into the resulting code.
I’ve installed the plugin, setup twitter username in the settings and added the widget. Anything i missed?
]]>Hi Guys,
I am currently trying to use WP clone to clone a website template which includes the twitter sidebar. I have been using a dummy handle while building and now when it comes to migrating the template across the multiple domains I am unable to change the handle.
It sticks with the same dummy twitter handle. First thoughts that come to mind is that is is cached somewhere OR hard written somewhere else in the back end.
But I have tried different things such as reinstalling, reinstalling a new blank theme. etc. It just doesn’t seem to want to work any more. Any help with this would be appreciated. Many thanks
James
The twitter cards are working fine for posts but for pages the description is missing. When I edit the post and look at the “Twitter Custom Text” area, it’s missing. I don’t know what I need to do to fix that.
]]>Hi,
I have just installed the plugin and got a list of tweets showing but this only works when logged into wordpress. Otherwise it just shows a link to twitter

]]>Hi, is it possible to filter twitter messages? Example: Let’s say it is not allowed to advertise (Ads) through Twitter feeds about betting odds or alcohol in a specific country… The websiteowner send out, let us say 5 twitter feeds (messages)… he want that the swedish speaking people that live abroad shall read ALL 5 messages. On the other hand, he also want the people living in Sweden to read the messages EXCEPT the one message which is about betting odds, alcohol or other topic that are not allowed to be advertised in this country. Is this possible to do with some settings (or by some modifications with a help from a programmer) with Twitter itself? Or can it be done with some 3rd party software/service/plugin?
I posted a screenshot in this URL and you will exactly understand my point.
