Whenever I use emoji in a tweet, it causes a problem with Twitter Digest.
Specifically, the weekly digest cuts off at the first emoji. So on a digest that runs Sunday to Saturday, if I tweet an update on Wednesday at 1 p.m., the digest ends in the middle of that Wednesday tweet, with 3 days missing.
I hope the developer can take a look at this and patch this bug.
]]>Regretfully it seems this plugin no longer works. I’ve checked codes and stuff a few times. Clicking ping gives the current time and next scheduled digest post, but it just doesn’t post anything anymore. Not sure how to diagnose.
I see someone else has experienced something similar. Does anyone know whether or not this plugin is still functional and/or being maintained. I do hope it is, as it’s quite handy. Assuming it is, if anyone out there might know how to diagnose what’s going on, any information you could provide would be most appreciated.
]]>Hi,
after using this plugin, I stopped using it for a while and now wanted to reactivate it. Unfortunately, I seem to be unable to do so.
I have the lasted plugin version installed, tripped-checked that my twitter keys are correct, but when I click the “ping twitter” button, nothing happens. I played around with some settings (e.g. daily/weekly digest etc.), but without success.
Thanks!
]]>I’ve left a longish review of this plug-in that mentions two other issues or suggestions – better OAuth implementation, more settings or output-formatting options – but I’ve run into a third, more serious problem with output formatting that I suspect make have something to do with the variations on “make_clickable.”
In short, in the twitter digest output, certain URLs, especially picture URLS, are getting cut off and made dysfunctional. For example, an url that in the original tweet, on Twitter, is “https://t.co/4W4rysT0Iw” is rendered as “https://t.co…/” I’ve noticed another blog uses Twitter Digest that also occasionally has URL-rendering problems, though not with as great a frequency as on my results so far.
I notice comment on line 364 of twitter-digest.php, in the function ws_make_clickable: ” // make_clickable doesn’t handle (url) very well, so we’ll chuck some spaces in.” Doesn’t give me a whole lot of confidence in what follows, and I wonder if it’s the problem. So, it looks like I’ll have to research preg_replace and REGEX to see what the intention was and whether this is, indeed, the source of the problem, unless the developer is monitoring this thread actively and can provide a better suggestions (this could be completely of base, for all I know at this point).
I have some other suggestions for further developing the plug-in, but I’ll leave things at this for now, and maybe leave a note
]]>Are there any plans to update this to the new twitter api? It is not working any more
]]>Hi
I love this plugin; it’s fast, efficient, and doesn’t cause any problems. However, I’d love it even more if it had the functionality to post digests once a month. I don’t tweet a lot, and a weekly digest doesn’t really contain enough content for a blog post. A monthly one would be perfect. Is there any chance you could add this, please? It would make a great plugin even greater! Thanks!
Best, Keith
Hello
I do apreciate your effort for that great plugin since the other one has cancelled the digest feature
Is there a way to set a template for the plugin, where we could use custom variable to set a custom a display?
thx
]]>Using the plug-in and is working great. Just what we needed.
We’d like to change the start and end times to be different form midnight to midnight. Does anyone know of am easy way to do this in the code? Don’t want to mess it up; it is working so well otherwise.
Thanks
]]>Hi,
maybe this is rather a feature request, but I am using https://twitterfeed.com to automatically send a tweet, when an author of my site posts a new blog article. This kind of automated tweets is useless information for a weekly tweet digest, so I was wondering if there’s a way, or if not, if for a future version of your plugin, it would be possible to exclude specified tweets?
Thanks!
]]>Hi getting the following error message displayed on the Settings page:
“Error retrieving tweets. Make sure your username and password are correct.
