We would be very happy about the correction of the messages as well as an update.

I am trying to implement the Live notification on the menu tab labelled “Twitch”.

Twitch

Based on this, I assumed the id would be menu-item-42 (extremely similar to the example in the FAQ). I have tried just about every variation of selector (#menu-item-42, .menu-item-42, #menu-item-42 a, .menu-item-42 a, \\.menu-item-42, etc.) and none of them have worked. The ONLY thing it has managed to do is create an empty line of space on my menu.
Any insight would be valuable. Thanks!
SIDE NOTE: I have also followed the rest of the instructions perfectly, including setting my Client ID and Client Secret.
Hey, so there was an update, today. Which was supposed make the plugin work again. However, all I see is a gray screen.
Hello, does the app still work for you? One of the people in the list I put is in broadcast and yet it would appear offline on my site
Hi,
I tried your extension yesterday but I had to disable it because of CPU usage. We are on an EC2 instance on AWS and credit usage was too high because of this extension, as you can see here :
You can see CPU usage before and after installing the extension : the CPU usage began to get higher and higher until I disabled it.
Do you have any explaination about this ?

If for some reason an channel dont have an offline image, the image tag added by the player is . Instead it should simply not output the img tag or provide the option for a “default” image in the plugin.
Dear Support Team,
is there any way to fix the loading times caused by admin-ajax.php?
We do really need this twitch status plugin, but it causes unbelievable loading times.
here is a screenshot:
Kind regards,
Luca
The Font-family should not be set to all icon class before pseudo elements. Causes conflict with the Salient WordPress theme.
Thanks for the plugin!
Hey Nicolas,
great plugin, it works like a charm.
I have one request:
Is it possible to add the option, that when “someone” of X-People go Online on twitch, the Status goes “Live!” and not only one person ?
example here: https://www.playzoom.de
-> navigation: “Offline” – “Online” -> only one person right now
Would be great, since we want to add the option, when “if one of the twitch guys go online then go “Live” Status” – maybe even clicking on it goes directly to his channel or at least tells ppl who is streaming right now !
I hope it is possible. ??
Best Wishes.
Sho

The viewers works fine, however, is there a way to adjust it so its not so far apart from the text ?
It’s like this,
Example:
Viewers:…………………………………………………..25
Is there a way to move that number closer to the “Viewers” text, instead of it being way over to the right of the text?
Hi,
Can you please help me to fix this error
I’ve updated plugin but I can’t add any channel name, after saving it does not show
and also i get this error https://prntscr.com/dkhnz5
Is there something that can be done to fix it?
Tnx a lot
The plugin has been updated to 1.4.0
You can now embed a Twitch stream player using short codes!
To insert a video player without the chatbox, use shortcode [twitch-player channel=”CHANNEL_NAME”]. With the chatbox, use shortcode [twitch-player channel=”CHANNEL_NAME” chat=”true”]. Replace CHANNEL_NAME with the name of a channel you have previously configured in the settings.
You can also embed the chat only using [twitch-chat channel=”CHANNEL_NAME”] or just the status tag with [twitch-status channel=”CHANNEL_NAME”]
For advanced users
You can now use HTML5 data attributes to create content that is dynamically updated by your stream data. Check the example below and the JSON object returned by admin-ajax.php to learn more about the available data.
people are actually watching this.
.

Is there a way to add other info about a twitch user? Adding info about the game they are playing?
I have a page setup, that will display if they are offline, and if they are online and it will show “LIVE” but I want to add (when they are live) “Playing: gamename”
is it possible to do that with whats already there, or would I need to try and add a bit of my own coding ?
When using code for pages online/offline works fine,
but no video is being shown. Is there suppose to be a video that shows up when user is online? (or offline)
Hi
Long time no see. I noticed I did not subscribed to this forum so there was a lot of unanswered questions, especially those about the plugin being broken after some significant changes in Twitch’s API.
This plugin is a small project I made on may spare time for my own website but since I rarely stream on Twitch, I never noticed the issues. As it starts getting popular among the Twitch community, I made several fixes and improvements today, according your feedbacks and reviews.
Here is version 1.3.0, now completely fixed and with loading times dramatically improved.
Hope you’ll enjoy it ??
Hi.
I use your WordPress’s plugin “Twitch Status” on my web site (https://www.exogamma.com/)
On August 8th, 2016, Twitch.tv post this : “On Monday, August 8th, 2016, we’re going to really-for-real require the Client-ID header on all of your API requests to Kraken.”
You can see it at https://blog.twitch.tv/client-id-required-for-kraken-api-calls-afbb8e95f843#.8ywydi2wb
Can you update your WordPress app ? Because it can’t show when stream is on-line now.
And I have add an option in the widget, for show viewers on a stream online. Would you accept to add it?
Thanks.
Have the plugin installed. Have the channels listed.
No idea what Jquery is or how it works. Need a better set of instructions on what this is and how it is used/relevant to the plugin.
Have it installed as a widget and nothing.
When you put a channel into a sidebar you get a square image status with channel views and other information when live. Is there a code to achieve this without having to use the sidebar method?
Hey,
i really like the script but sadly it is causing some high loading times.
My questions would be
1) Can there be a feature to avoid a bit more js and fire it up with a cronjob?
2) Can the JS be loaded A-Sync
Sincerly Yours,
Deexgnome

Can I play live channels with your plugin (.ts, m3u, or m3u8 files on another server) ?
I’m trying, but it’s failed, can you help me?

Dear all,
I have a problem displaying the status of a twitch channel on a page of my website. When I enter the code after chaning the CHANNEL_NAME to a twitch channel which is online and added in the settings of the plugin
<span class=”twitch-status-tag twitch-status-channel-CHANNEL_NAME”>
in the “text” area of a page nothing is displayed. The page stays completely white. In the settings of the plugin I provided the channel name but at the moment no jQuery selector as it is a full page and not a single menu. Where is my mistake? How do I find out the jQuery selector of my page where the status should be displayed?
Thanks in advance and best regards,
Dennis
In the channel setup page there’s an error that says –
Warning: implode(): Invalid arguments passed in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas14_data03/97/3143897/html/wp-content/plugins/twitch-status/includes/twitch-status-options.php on line 85
Hello!
I haven’t had luck with jquery selectors to place the status indicator so I have been tagging classes. I found a tutorial that showed you could give a custom class to a link under the menu editor. No matter what class I use, the indicator always appears below. Do you have any tips for how to make it appear to the left or to the right of the element being tagged?
