Hi team, when I set up everything and tried to use this tool to share blog posts to a FB page account, it did not work.
Here is my setting:
Minimum Interval Between Shares: 12 hours
Minimum Post Age: already tried 0, 30, 60, 90 days
Share More Than Once: Yes

When click to start sharing, it showed some articles in the queue.
The status became: ”Next share in 19 seconds…18 seconds…. Sharing……Next share in 11 hours, 59 minutes…..”

It looked like post successfully shared but it is not.
When clicking on ”Sharing Logs”, it was empty and no recent logs. Check FB page, no new posts.

After a while, the status automatically becomes” Status: Sharing Not Started”.
I tried to reinstall the plugin, not working.
I tried to reconnect the FB account successfully, not working.
I tried to roll back to the previous versions, and it still does not work.

What else can I do to make it start share?

Is it possible to mention other pages on Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn by using “@accountname” and when the post is posted it becomes a link and the page receives a notification?

I start using the plugin a few days ago. It work well sending scheduled posts to Facebook and Twitter. Since yesterday its only publishing on twitter, but not in Facebook.

Instant sharing is working on both. And the posts appear in the Sharing Queue.

Can you Help me?

I programatically create posts (I dont login to wp-admin and manually create posts).

How can I programatically enable this option:

Enable Instant Sharing By Default
Instant sharing option will be checked by default when creating new posts.

When trying to add Facebook page account, seeing the following message:

There is absolutely no reason to allow your app to manage our Facebook page.

You can use Facebook API as other plugins do.

To prevent our Apps from being misused for malicious purposes, we need to ensure the websites being connected via our app are not malicious websites.?

Don’t want to use your app, but to post directly using Facebook and X API.

Does your plugin support this?

When new posts are created, and the check box ticked to post to social media immediately the post successfully gets posted, but it doesnt push the image to social.

If I edit a post, THEN click post immediately, only then it will push the feature image to Facebook.

Is there a reason for this, is there a setting causing this?

Also, is it possible that the post is auto posted to social without having to tick the check box every time?

Considering migration from “NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster” plugin, so wondering is it possible to replicate some of its features:

1) Set post format as %RAWEXCERPT% %HTAGS% where:

%RAWEXCERPT% – Inserts the excerpt of the post (as typed)
%HTAGS% – Inserts post tags as hashtags

2) Do not include blog link in post format for Facebook, since Facebook doesn’t automatically remove it, unlike X. Featured image would remain clickable on Facebook.

Facebook post format would be: %RAWEXCERPT% %HTAGS%
X post format would be: %RAWEXCERPT% %HTAGS% %URL%

3) Exclude some authors from auto-posting.

I use the free version of Revive old Post. I don’t see menus where settings such as “Accounts, General Settings” are made. I deleted and reinstalled the plugin many times. I did database optimization etc. but no menus appear. I am attaching a visual. PHP version 7.4 is selected. Is there a module that needs to be opened in the “extensions” section?

We’ve been using Revive Social / Revive Old Posts for a long time now but during the past months, unsure when this began, we have noticed that no featured images are being displayed in the Facebook posts. We submit a blog post and check the Facebook share box, and in Facebook, we only see the title and our message there. In Twitter/X and LinkedIn (another plugin), we see our featured image.

Knowing that social media feed algos demote posts with links in, and promote those that are just media and text, would it be possible to set this up so that it posts the backlink to the post in the first comment underneath the syndicated post?

It has recently come to my attention that Revive Old Posts plugin notices are visible to all authors on the site, maybe even all subscribers. They should only be shown to the administrator, and maybe editors.

For example, a recent one said:

If you used this option in the past, then please?head to the Revive Old Posts dashboard?to start sharing using the default WordPress cron. This is just confusing to anyone who is not a site administrator, and is irrelevant to them.

I can’t connect the plugin to twitter by any method, neither by logging into x, nor by using my own keys.

I have followed the steps indicated in the plugin to create the api key and then, when I enter the api key and the api secret key, in the section “authorize to access your account”, I press the button “authorize app” and I get this message:

Whoa there!

There is no request token for this page. That’s the special key we need from applications asking to use your Twitter account. Please go back to the site or application that sent you here and try again; it was probably just a mistake.

What could be causing this error?

when sharing the post at publishing stage I have started getting error 429 too many requests. The scheduled posts are working fine though

Hello there. Suddenly I’ve been getting all these error messages all the time for both Twitter and Facebook:
Error posting on X: Too Many Requests | Additional info: {“title”:”Too Many Requests”,”detail”:”Too Many Requests”,”type”:”about:blank”,”status”:429}

The same happens with Facebook. I then deleted the “Conncet to Facebook” thing, trie dto create a new “Commect to Gacebook” one, but nothing’s happening. Any suggestions?

Unable to share new posts on Facebook groups where I am an administrator. Since yesterday it is no longer possible to do this because the Apps section (where you can add the Revive app) is no longer available in the Facebook group settings. Hello! I’m getting this error when trying to share any post from my wordpress:

The URL ends up being too long, and usually really slow to load when clicked. For example:

I don’t have any social media and other types of account, where my website blog post’s are going to share then. Are you guys share my blog posts on yours account, with my nitch related audience?

I have 30 blog posts and only 4 are recent (2023 and 2024). All the others are from 2018 and 2019. I cannot get those to be shared. I even tried to set the Min Post Age to 800 to see if it would pick just those older ones. It says Nothing to share.

How can I get that working?

Hi, I have ‘create hashtags from categories’ enabled. In the Share Content there is Post Title enabled. Revive old posts for some reason by default turns matching words in the content into hashtags, making it messy and less readable. Is there a way to turn this feature off?

Hi. you offer to use facebook app with my own app id and secret key but don’t give me a way to enter the call back url or any docs about this. See this screenshot. https://share.zight.com/bLuQnvjD. Please tell me how to set this up. I already have the app id and keys. Just need the callback url.
BTW – it tried to sign in to FB with the other option, my own profile, but that failed. My page is part of a business account. I need to get this setup for a about 15 sites but if I can’t get it to work with one there is little reason to buy the pro license for the rest of the sites. THanks!
