This plugin is a joke. None of the widgets are free – to simply display your businesses’ rating and reviews is outrageously priced, starting at €139 a month and going up to €519 a month! There’s nothing business-friendly about this. Trustpilot also stopped allowing Trustindex to use their API, which was a free solution, so they could hold small business owners hostage. If they kept this affordable they would garner so much more praise and positive reviews than through this greedy approach. Shameful.

Trustpilot, the worst app!! I wrote about the negative and fraudulent actions of the Russian bookmaker MEGAPARI, and they did not want and do not want to publish my review. They will publish only positive reviews of this Russian bookmaker. They are obviously paid by this Russian bookmaker!! Big scam is Trustpilot app !! I sent all the communication between me and MEGAPARI, everything they wanted to verify my game account, that the methods of this betting office are non-standard and Trunspilot didn’t publish my reviews anyway!!

PROS:
Allows you to send automated reminders to customers to review you on Trustpilot for free.
CONS:
This plugin should be renamed to “Trustpilot Button” plugin, because that’s what it basically allows you to add to the layout for free.
The plugin description is very misleading and lacking information.
It is indeed free, but you are hiding all options behind a pay-wall.
You didn’t even bother designing and branding the only free widget button option available in this plugin. It’s just a dull button without colors or stars.

After a bit of digging I see this works with widgets which are pretty dated now, this plugin likely needs updating or redeveloping to work using blocks and include ways to customise

The plugin is broken a joke.
There’s a different version distributed directly from their website, and guess what… also broken a joke!
They won’t provide support for this plugin, nor for the one they directly distribute.
The support people are just non-tech assistants that can at best provide some canned responses, trying to explain any tech issue to them is useless and could potentially give you a big headache. I highly suggest you do not attempt it, unless, it’s for a Youtube video or smth.
The most intriguing thing is, Trustpilot is a company that champion good customer experience… Is this like a joke? Please tell me this is a joke.

I have three accounts setup to work with different websites, but each time I log into an account for the website the plugin is installed on it logs me out of the plugin on my other websites. This is actually bizarre as it appears the plugin is using either the browser cache for account info or is actively tracking your IP. Why is this plugin setup to work this way? The only answer I an think of is to force you on to the only paid plan which costs around ￡2k a year which blows my mind that this is their only pricing model. The amount of business they are missing out on from start-ups and small companies is huge. But what do you get for that 2k a year? Some useless software that allows you to track how your competition is doing, a badge that doesn’t work on some browsers and some other pointless things I browsed over when going over a clients TP instal. Ive seen nothing that justifies ￡2k a year.
For the single site I am running this on, it works. You log in, setup review requests and boom. the actual badge options are hilariously limited, so I just coded in a coloured button and dropped a star PNG into the footer of the site. Does the same thing and doesnt break the layout.
This plugin, along with their premium offering and poor customer service (they will only get in touch when it comes to renewal time) leaves a lot to be desired.

Trustpilot plugin is not compatible with WordPress/Woocommerce native review system. This means that if you stop using Trustpilot, you loose every review for your service and every review for your woocommerce products.
You need to embed Trustpilot into your wordpress/woocommerce template and this way it is messy and with some theme, this causes problems.
With Trustpilot you are not in control of your reviews. If someone gives you bad rating that is most of the time overexaggerated and based on a lie, you cant delete it. What you can do is to flag these for Trustpilot for them to make the decision should the review be deleted or not. Imagine, people who dont know the true story around what has happened, decide crucial decisions for you. You will always get the same copy pasted answer why they wont delete bad rating.
If you are a small business owner, you dont afford this kind of review system.
To get most out of Trustpilot you need to buy premium service from them and it is really costly, up to hundrers of euros per month and in the end, this is just a review plugin. Trustpilot is sky high, bad plugin, bad service and the most expensive review plugin around.
You get 10 times of better wp review plugins for 50 euros per year….

I wish, I could have given it zero or negative 5. Please learn how to make a plugin first and then submit your plugin. This will weaken all of your WordPress security and create a backdoor for a hacker.

This is one of the worst plugin to trust. They will upload bad reviews about your site while asking you to pay them money to add you new reviews to suppress the bad reviews they previously added. When they see that you are stubborn and do not want to comply, they will remove all the good reviews placed by your customers and they will start writing you like a customer saying they wanted to buy but my reviews is bad. I’m a victim to them. Safe your business and stay away from this plugin.
Before I forget, they will keep trying and trying to hack your website. They don’t rest about that until they hack the website and steal all your useful resources. Safe yourself and be safe.

This plugin will harm your website, first of all this plugin is not working, syncing WooCommerce orders is not working and it places unnecessary JS code, slows your website.

They’ve recently removed another trustbox option for free users and locked it behind their ridiculous ￡199 monthly paywall. That leaves free users with a grand total of 1 way to display their reviews, YES 1 single way, and they’ve made it the widget as tiny as possible.
This was already a terrible plugin before this recent change as the default review email invite is styled horribly out of the box with no easy way to change it. The trustboxes themselves slow your site down and not by an insignificant amount. It all adds up, especially if you decide to display your reviews on every page.
I think it says alot about TrustPilot as a company themselves when their own plugin is heading towards a 1 out of 5 star…
Here is hoping they can turn it around by adding back in some previously free trustboxes or at the very least offer some more affordable monthly plans for small businesses.

I’m a very small business, I can’t afford a professional membership to collect what should be honest reviews. The plugin worked perfectly for a long while; sent invitations to customers after purchases and the badge showed as ‘Read our reviews on TrustPilot’ without a review count and I was able to display in my footer. Now, paid membership is required if you don’t want the review count and the only display option is either above the header or on product and category pages.
I deactivated the plugin but when I try to delete in the dashboard I get the following error: Deletion failed: There has been a critical error on this website.Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress
I’m deleting it through FTP but the fact that I need to do that is a red flag.

Avoid this service. They do everything to force you to buy paid packages. They artificially underestimate the rating, do not publish real positive reviews, but at the same time publish all the negative crazy. They do everything so that your rating drops and you run to buy a paid service. Don’t get fooled, don’t create a verified profile, this is the biggest mistake.
