As it appears that you are back and watching your support forum, I’ll take that chance for discussing another (potential) issue ??
This is only SEO-related and doesn’t affect TD’s functionality:
I’ve noticed that the TD href doesn’t have the hreflang attribute.
When I look at the hrefs generated by Polylang (the language flags in the sidebar), I see that they do carry the correct hreflang attribute.
So, presuming that Polylang does the right thing here, wouldn’t it be wise to do the same for the TD href? This way we wouldn’t have two contradicting hrefs on the same page (one with hreflang attribute, the other without it).
What do you think?
[I personally even tend to think that the proper way would be to include also the rel=”alternate” attribute — also for the Polylang hrefs in the sidebar. But maybe I’m wrong here, since the rel=”alternate” attribute is already provided by Polylang’s link elements in the header. Not sure.]
]]>Hi,
I noticed that the plugin produces lots of 404s from the admin interface, requesting an apparently non-existant css file.
Commenting line 8 in translation-detector-admin.php
did help.
Otherwise it works perfectly. Thanks for this nice plugin!
Tom
