HI, I have the plugin and it works great but I changed how the footer was working from a widget to a popup and now the speedbump doesn’t come up when you click on the links. I tested it within a code block of just text and it works ok but when I use a popup element it doesn’t seem to trigger any suggestions. This is displayed in the footer of the site.
]]>When you click the Apply Now button in the Hero you see the Speedbump in action. However this page is part of the Omitted links therefore the plugin should be skipping this page.
The other issue is the commas placed between multiple links in the Omitted section are being scrambled. This is a preview of part of a link. Each time we save the comma is cutting off part of the URL which is possibly the issue here. (tcu.net/%20,%20https://internet)
For the time being we had to disable the plugin.
]]>Hi, I just installed this plugin, and I am getting this error at the top of the page Warning: Undefined variable $raw_string in?/home/sperling/clientweb.dev/tscu/wp-content/plugins/traction-external-links-speed-bump/traction-external-links-speed-bump.php?on line?167
It only shows in the back end on the settings area of the plugin. I thought it was the links in the omit area but I took them out and it still shows. I have deactivated all plugins except this one and changed to default theme and it still shows.
Thank you for the help
Susan
]]>If I only have one URL listed in Omitted Links, it works as expected. If I add a comma and another URL, I get the “you’re leaving” message with both links. This plugin hasn’t been updated in a while, so I’m wondering if I’m just out of luck…
]]>Hi there. I’ve been using this plugin without issue for quite some time. However, it appears external links in the main navigation won’t trigger the 3rd part popup.
In the Accounts tab of the main navigation, there’s a link called “Reorder Checks”. Clicking on it should trigger the 3rd party popup, but it doesn’t. This link hasn’t been added to the omitted domains / links list either. So I’m rather confused.
For what it’s worth, we do have UberMenu installed. But it’s doubtful it’s the source of the problem. I might be wrong though.
]]>Hello, this is for a test site and when the plugin is active, the links in the mobile menu on an iPhone need to be pressed down a lot more than people are used to. Then, when the link is activated, it causes the browser window to shrink and opens up the iPhone’s toolbar. The people at Elegant Themes ran some tests and they found the issue is being caused by the Traction plugin. Is there any workaround for this issue? Thanks
]]>Hello,
I wanted to let you know that this plugin breaks the WPBakery accordions from opening.
Each accordion has this type of link /page/#1564757748754-9aabcb02-5776 and the plugin breaks the accordion so that when you click on it to expand it, nothing happens.
Please let me know if I can provide more information.
]]>Hi there!
Up until the most recent update of WordPress and this plugin, the plugin was working perfectly. Now it blocks a “#” link that opens a modal which users of the site need to click on in order to log in to their account. Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks!
]]>Hello,
My client (a credit union) is hoping to use your plugin for accessibility compliance for outbound links with keyboard navigation. I’ve run into a few problems in testing:
1) Nothing is focused when opening the modal, so you have to hit tab before “continue” is selected. Once selected, you can hit enter to go to the link (but space bar doesn’t work).
2) If you tab to “cancel”, neither enter nor space bar work to trigger the click. The only way out is with the escape key.
3) Clicking anywhere inside the modal closes the modal.
These all seem like simple javascript fixes. Do you think any of this can be updated in a future (soon) release?
Thanks!
Chad
Hello,
Loving the plugin, nice and simple. Found that the class .trelsb-modal-open
does not get removed when clicking the continue button. Usually not an issue, but when target=_blank
is used, it freezes the page in place when returning to the original site.
Found that adding jQuery('body').removeClass('trelsb-modal-open');
to the contInput.click(function() {
in the .js file did the trick. Also switched the order of removing the modal and removing that class, just to make sure it got triggered.
Cheers!
]]>Hello, the plugin is great. Thanks so much. However, I don’t know why’s not working for my single images or gallery images that have outbound links. I’ve tried in pages and in the footer. Same problem. I’ve tried using the default wp editor and I’ve tried using my theme (divi) editor with a couple different module. no luck.
When I look in the code I do see a on.click call to stop propogation? Not sure if that comes from your plugin or not. Did you develop this plugin to only work with outbound text links? Or should images work too?
Thank you for your help.
]]>Wondering if i can still set a link with a target _blank?
As of now the plugin is opening all links in the same window.
Thanks.
