Displays the following error after applying to just 3 pages.
Fatal error: Call to a member function widget() on a non-object in wp-content/plugins/total-widget-control/total-widget-control.php on line 777
All setup correctly and according to installation. All went fine but just doesn’t work.
]]>Hi, I have WP 3.1 multisite (subdomain) and Buddypress 1.2.8 installed on my site.
When I installed the total widget control and activated it network wide, WP gave me weird network admin page where I appear to be logged out and it was virtually empty except some dashboard menu. Since I lost my network control, I couldn’t disable or delete the plugin from the admin page.
When I went to widget menu in one of the site (site1) admin page in the network, the widgets had add button to add them to the sidebars so the plugin itself was installed and activated successfully somehow.
But when I disabled the plugin from the site1, the widget page didn’t go back to the normal wordpress drag & drop widget control. So, I deleted the plugin file using FTP which gave me back the normal network admin page but the widget page still looks and acts as though the plugin is still active as if somehow the plugin changed the widget page permanently.
So I reinstalled the wordpress but even that didn’t change back the widget page.
Could you help me please? I just want my default drag and drop wordpres widget control back.. Thanks in advance.
I’m using TWC with Pagelines theme and it allows me (a graphic designer) to manipulate the widgets throughout the site with great precision. I cannot underscore the generosity of the support in bailing me out on a couple of installation bloopers I most likely caused on two different sites. I think this is a great value for the time it has saved me.

]]>Using this plugin and so far I am impressed. Its new and there are some bugs but the support response is incredible and very helpful.
When this is a fully working plugin it will be one of the best on wordpress by far.
]]>I installed this plug-in, then went to the settings. I clicked on the ‘free’ version, then nothing. Literally. I couldn’t access my WordPress dashboard at all. I just got a blank white screen.
I went to my FTP and tried to manually delete the plug-in, but couldn’t. I finally renamed the subdirectory, which caused WordPress to automatically disable the plug-in. I could then log in to my account again – where I promptly deleted the plug in, which worked this time.
It looks like a promising, useful plug-in, but I’m not going to try it again anytime soon. I don’t want that utter moment of panic again when I realized I couldn’t access my dashboard.
]]>I just updated from .12 to .15
and i get this error: Warning: file_put_contents(/home/httpd/vhosts/dominiqueziegler.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/total-widget-control/auth.php) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/httpd/vhosts/dominiqueziegler.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/total-widget-control/auth.php(6) : runtime-created function(1) : runtime-created function on line 1
Any idea to fix this ?
Thanks,

]]>I have the pro version of this plugin and it is glitchy and annoying.
First off when you set widgets for their order it does not work right. Even though you choose the last position it will always put it at number 1 unless you go back in and then it lets you again choose the position which will then let it work.
The next and most annoying problem is that twice nowI have had my site almost finished with its widget structure and it will then just wipe out all of my widgets that i had made. All work done is just gone so i have to restart. After this happened twice i disabled the plugin and decided to look elsewhere.
I want my money back but i may wait to see if they fix it anytime soon
]]>I installed TWC, it only moved over about 1/2 my widgets. I uninstalled it but my widget settings were lost.
Now I can not get newly installed widgets to show up? Any ideas?

]]>I installed the free version, but that is very limited. It seem to me more limited than the original wordpress functionality. Almost all the features you describe are not available in the free version. Even the paid professional version ist not ad free?!? So even I do pay I do have your ads on my site?

]]>Hello,
I tried to install the plugin but it doesn’t work.
The widgets are not listed in the widgets list. And even if I try to add then (using the add new button they still not being added.
I tried this plugin as I looked for solution for defining side bar widgets for specific pages.
]]>I have just tried to install this widget on my site. While all the other Plugins have loaded and worked fine this one fails despite saying it installed correctly. All I get is a couple of clashing links at the top of the widget page that give 404 errors
I am wondering if this is because I have WP3.1 installed in a sub directory with a revised copy of index.php in the root.
]]>Ive purchased a license, but I still get google ads on the widget page.

]]>When the wordpress search returns no results, it redirects to the homepage of the site.
When I deactivate total widget control it works fine.
Anyone experience with that?

]]>The BEST plugin out there to control which widgets are displayed on unique pages. Makes it much easier to customize WordPress.
The tech support is awesome. Really! I had a conflict between TWC and an older plugin on my site and within minutes of shooting off an email to tech support, Jon was in contact with me and worked several hours to fix my site. Then he went a step further and checked TWC with other plugins and made sure that future users would not run into such problems. Truly remarkable tech support!!
I highly recommend this plugin to anyone designing/developing a CMS site.
]]>This is a great widget, and I’ve gotten immediate and helpful support from Jon Byrd, who is always trying to improve it. thanks Jon!!
