Toogle The Title did a great job removing the titles of my pages. However, it has also removed the title of my posts.
Deactivating the plugin does not solve the problem. How could I solve this problem?
You can see the problem following this link: https://calatravamoreno.com/blog/
The password is ‘password’.
I am using Toogle The Title 1.4 and WordPress 4.4.2.
Thanks in advance,
Mamen
This plugin works for most themes. Does not work in Jupiter 5.
I just wanted to share a nice experience with how to remove the title height.
Start by using the code under FAQ
Insert a div with a class inside the last bit of code like so:
‘ . $post->post_title . ‘
‘; return ‘

’; }
Apply CSS like so:
.remove-height {
margin: -40px 0;
}
Done!

How would I go about adding the option to:
WP Admin > Pages > All Pages > Quick Edit > “Show page title” Checkbox
Also, if the option was integrated, would it also work with Bulk Action?
Thanks for the community contribution, marvelous job!!
p.s. – If the box was positioned to the right of “Allow Comments” that would be wicked.
This plugin works for every page but the one I need it for, the home page. When I try to uncheck for the page I’m using as a front page and click save, it just refreshes and reverts to checked.
Perhaps it’s something on my side because I have the same issue with the Title Remover plugin too, but figured it couldn’t hurt to ask.
fyi, I tried using this plugin on 3.9.2 and I got the same result. I am using a free theme from the WordPress repository, but had the same issue when trying to use the built in Twenty Thirteen theme.
Terrific plugin!
Small question. In a support query about 11 months ago, entitled “Works but doesn’t eliminate title height”, you suggested adding this to the functions.php file:
___
‘function return_page_title_html_block($post) { $is_page_title_active = get_post_meta($post->ID, $key = ‘toggle_page_title’, $single = true); if($is_page_title_active == ” || $is_page_title_active) return ‘
‘ . $post->post_title . ‘
‘; return ‘ ‘; }’
(without the tick marks of course)
__
In your suggested code above, I’m not sure how many tick marks to delete (and crashed my page briefly as a result). Would the code look like this?
___
function return_page_title_html_block($post) { $is_page_title_active = get_post_meta($post->ID, $key = toggle_page_title, $single = true); if($is_page_title_active == || $is_page_title_active) return
. $post->post_title .
; return ; }
____
And then, do I absolutely have to do the following to make it work (also your suggestion from back then):
___
2) In your page.php file replace the title with the h1 tags to a call to echoing out the above function – print return_page_title_html_block($post);
___
Many thanks in advance!
Jeremy
What does ticking this option do?
Autosave on change title status?

Hi
Unfortunately the titles don’t show up in the sitemap anymore.

Is this something you could fix?

I recently installed TTT to remove the ‘Home’ title from my site. It works but I’m left with the space where the title used to be. I’m sure that most people using this plugin would like to remove this space to tighten up the page. Could this be included as an option in a future version? In the meantime, could you please explain in very simple terms what I need to do? I think you may have already addressed this problem but I didn’t understand your reply.

When I install this plugin in 3.8, it makes the formatting bar disappear. It also makes it to where you can’t edit the permalink.
I don’t know if this is because I have the TinyMCE Advanced plugin installed, or if “Toggle the Title” is not yet compatible with 3.8.
Either way, would you be willing to update the plugin so that it is compatible with both? (As almost 3 million have downloaded TinyMCE Advanced, so it is a very well-used and popular plugin.)
Thanks for anything you can do!

Hi there,
I downloaded your plugin and it was working fine until I changed my theme to twenty twelve. Now whenever I tick the box to hide page title, it removes the page name from the navigation bar.
Is there any way to make it work with this theme as I don’t want to have to go back to Twenty Eleven.
Many thanks in advance!
Hi,
This is a great plugin; many thanks. My problem seemed to arise when I updated to 3.6.1.
Q: This is not working for one particular page. I have tried toggling on and off several times and updating the page. I have also tried using another theme (Twenty Ten) as you suggested, and still the page name will not show up in the navigation.

Hi,
I’d like to remove my home page title.
I unchecked the Show page title? box & my home page title still shows.

Excellent plugin. One problem, perhaps caused by something in 3.6: when I uncheck the “toggle the title” box for my home page, both the home page and the about page disappear from the navigation bar.

Hey,
So, when I have this plugin active, it creates an error on my shop page, regardless of the setting I have it on. (I dont wanna hide my shop title).
Warning: Missing Argument 2 For TitleToggler_hide_title() In /Home/Hippouni/Public_html/Wp-Content/Plugins/Toggle-The-Title/Main.Php On Line 97
Being totally unfamiliar with code, I am naturally clueless.
So I wanna be able to toggle the titles like this plugin says, but the only way I can seem to fix this error is to deactivate the plugin..
Help appreciated,
Chris Huriwai
This plug-in works pretty good as it eliminates the title however some styling is still left over as I can see the height of the area where the title would be.
See what I mean here. Can this be fixed?
