When trying to attach a download to the donation, it works fine on my laptop but will not work on iPhone. Any suggestions?

Howdy, I Hope all is well.
This plugin has been rad for a while but would be nice to add a few options as Google reCaptcha alternatives.
– Add support to use Cloudflare Turnstile.
https://www.cloudflare.com/products/turnstile/
https://developers.cloudflare.com/turnstile/
For slightly bigger blogs:
– Add support to use Hcaptcha.
https://www.hcaptcha.com/
Alt Style Style option to Remove Google reCaptcha Badge:
– Add an option to remove the recaptcha badge and display the required text and links instead below the form. so it doesn’t conflict with themes or branding. But still meets requirements if using reCaptcha.
Ex:
This donation form is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply
Thanks again for making this rad plugin btw!
It is a must for users who make a TIP to be able to enter a note, before the transaction.
Those of us who own a business and receive tips in our business bank account and need to pass them on to our staff have to know who the tip was meant for. Otherwise this plugin is not helpful. I can’t have all tips going into 1 jar and have to disperse those equally to all staff (because I don’t know who got tipped and who didn’t and how much). Makes no sense. Those who worked hard and earned the tip sure aren’t going to be happy to see their hard-earned tip money go to others who might not have worked as hard and earned that tip.
Can you amend this please?

Hi, just saw the tipping form option where a user enters: amount dropdown, recurring or not, then pay button.
Firstly, can I use PayPal with tis tipping form?
Secondly, if I create a website and use this form, I obviously enter my PayPal account details. But, what if I would like members on my website to receive donations? So lets say I have 50 members, each member has his own profile page. I would like to add this form on each members profile page so that users can then tip/support this member.
When members sign up on my website they already have to enter their own PayPal account details, so is there a way to pull that information into the tip button?
For this form to work in the way intended by me I see currently 2 ways to go:
1: I enter each members PayPal email manually into the button or
2: the tip button can pull the email info from the members profile
Could you pls let me know if this is possible? I am looking for a “tip this creator”, “support this creator”kind of solution.
Any suggestions are welcome ??
I would like to allow readers to tip post authors on my site. Is there any way to add a custom note or something where I can attach the post author to a payment so I know where to disperse the funds? I have intermediate coding skills.
Thanks
When setting up the plugin, the note attachment field as shown on the example page of the plugin’s site does not appear on mine, and there seems to be no way to include it to the donation form.
I require the note field for some tipping incentives I would like to implement, so help with this would be appreciated.

How can I change the button label?

click the Check Weather button, then scroll to lower part of fancybox that appears.
tip jar button is on the lower left.

I also want to centre the box(es) that show the amount & country flag, and the One time only box.
Help?

When I try to connect Tip Jar WP with Stripe, it only shows the possibility to connect 1 of my accounts (when I have 6 for that email).

Note: it shows 2 because the second one showed up when I tried clicking on “create account”. Which I don’t want to do.

Hello,
I’m currently using the plugin with Stripe in test mode. When I enter an email address in the field labeled “Enter your email address” on the tip form, the receipt is not sent to that address. It is sent to the address of my user account. Can I use that field to send the receipt to an address other than that of my user account?
Thanks!
Everytime I make a payment to my website through the Tip Jar WP, my website shuts down for about 5 minutes.
Is there a way to stop this from happening because I plan to have multiple people tip all concurrently. They cant do it if the website is shut down every minute and people wont tip at all if they cant get quick access
Hi, I plan on taking photos of people and using the tip jar to convert free photography into sales.
my only issue is that there is a lot of manual labor involved in creating a new tip jar shortcode for each photograph i take. At the moment mywebsite.com/id/12345678 has an associated zip 12345678.zip and i would like to create the shortcode [tipjarwp id=”1″ dl=????/12345678.zip] so that for my many many webpages each tipjar knows which file it needs to deliver.
I was planning on emailing the correct zip for each sale but I’m trying to avoid manual labor with a $0 payment system.
Alternatively, can we discuss editing the file-delivery.php?
$deliverable_file_path = get_attached_file( $file_download_data[‘attachment_id’] );
could possibly become
$deliverable_file_path = ‘mywebsite.com/assets/’ + pagetitle + ‘.zip’ ?
I know that it’s a pretty hack way of doing things but if it’s possible to extract the /12345678 out of the page url and use that to reconstruct the file path to deliver this could be a relatively easy fix for somebody who actually knows php.
Hello, I have a couple of questions about this little gem, which I’m thinking to install because Stripe doesn’t allow to set custom payments unless you are a skilled coder.
1) is it possible to open the form triggered by a button, just like Stripe checkout does?
2) is it possible to avoid payers to have accounts created? I have a complex membership system and I don’t want it to conflict, or to confuse users
Hi there,
Running Google Page Speed Insights, I can see Tip Jar WP causes slow loading due to Stripe.
Is there a way this can be reduced, such as not loading Stripe until the “give me a tip” button is pressed, for example?
Thanks!
1. Customise the e-mail people get when they tip.
2. Customise how the form looks, other than just the text (colour of background, etc).
3. When someone enters an e-mail, if they are already logged in, it will ignore the e-mail they entered and will send the receipt to their logged-in e-mail.
4. The Stripe payment description is set as the title of the payment box. This should be customisable to something else. I have the heading as “Have you found this post helpful? Please consider buying me a coffee!” to grab attention, but that makes no sense as a Stripe description.
5. On the “open in-place” option, it would be good to be able to set a different form to the embedded form. Just because I already have a customised block of text asking people to tip me, but I don’t need that also to be in the expanded form. But I do need that content there for when I choose to just embed the form.
6. On testing a payment, I got an “Email receipt failed to send. Please try again.” error, but I successfully received the receipt.
7. Can we set transactions IDs to start from a number other than “1”? Just as it looks like you are not popular to tip!
8. It would be great to be able to set different buttons that auto-populate different amounts in the amount box. Like we could do “Tip me – £2”, “Tip me £5”, “Tip me £10”, as options, and then it populates the tip amount box.
9. Finally, is there a way to center shortcode buttons? They go to the left of the page, which does not look good.
It’s recommended not to receive all endpoints from Stripe if it’s not needed, as it can cause overload. I get many errors on Stripe if I enable all endpoints with other Stripe-based plugins, meaning my integrations get shut down and I have to manually restart them.
What are the actual necessary endpoints to receive for WpTipjar to work?
Thanks!
Hello there,
I am having issues with all payments failing, whether in test mode or live mode.
I have completed the setup wizard, and have got green ticks for everything, showing that everything is healthy, however the payments just don’t go through.
Please can you help me to fix this issue?
I’ve noticed that my live modes and test modes are connected to different accounts, even though when I go to the setup screen, I am logged into stripe with the same email address..
Also, is there anyway to style the popup donation form? I’d like to change the colour of the “pay now” button, and the grey background too.
Kind Regards,
Christopher Tutton
I have two things that I’d like to ask about.
1. When I click the “Manage your Payments” link it brings me to the appropriate screen to manage those settings but there isn’t a way to get back to the tip jar. I’m concerned that a user will click that link and then wind up lost.
2. I don’t see a way to allow someone to download an MP3 file. I’m using the Avada theme and working in their editor.
The site I’m working on is being developed so I can’t give you a link to look at it but am willing to privately send you login details to access the admin section.
Thanks..
Hi there,
I click the confirmation email but it will not load the page. I have tried doing the SendGrid confirmation but it won’t recognize that either.
