Hello everyone,
I have been using this plugin for months but it has today just stopped proof reading the things I wrote. When I click on the ABC, it says everything is okay even though there is spelling mistakes.
Hello.
Soon there will be a 5 version of wordpress and there will be a modified editor gutenberg
In the plugin gutenberg now does not work your plugin, it does not appear at all
Hello,
trying to proofread causes the following error message:
There was a problem communicating with the Proofreading service. Try again in one minute.
I’ve already waited some weeks hoping the message clears up by the time. But still: One day proofreading is working, the next day I’m getting this error message (most of the time with errors).
Does someone have this problem, too? What can I do?
Best regards
saNNNy
Anyone could show me where I can find the Setting page for this plugin?
Please share your direct URL linking to the Setting page? as I suspect due to incompatibility to latest WP version, the setting page is not added to the Admin menu.
Thanks
I’ve beed searching on Google different alternative as proofreader. This plugin have been even recommended and reviewd on different sites.
At least for those who are supporting this work, would ne nice they don’t love the face due its author loss of interests.
This plugin outdate by 1 year and support seems to be ignored. The purpose of this post is to leave a message to its Author. Saving the hope he will bring back to life this plugin, and fix the several bugs reported.
Not everyone is interested to install Jetpack when they only want 1 single specific solution.
There was a topic on this but it was prematurely closed before it ever got resolved. The plugin works on the admin side of things but it doesn’t seem to work on a frontend wp_eidtor()
. The button is there but the JS Logic for the actual spellchecking is not.
It would be a great feature to see in the future as there’s really no other plugins in the repo which offer TinyMCE Spellcheck support.
This is a great little plugin that I’ve been using for over 1 year, but I’m a little afraid to use it now with all of the current and future developments of WordPress (more and more JavaScript).
Can the plugin developer please update this to be absolutely compatible with the current 4.2 beta version of WordPress? WordPress core has been going through some major evolution recently, and will continue to do so with the upcoming JSON REST API. TinyMCE Spellcheck is a great little plugin, and those that use it would hate to see it fall to the wayside.
(I bet it will become more difficult to keep many plugins updated in the near future).
HI,
I have an English version of WordPress installed (so everything in the Dashborad is in English). How could I now make TinyMCE Spellcheck spell check also other languages (not just English). For example if I write a post in Spanish I would like to spell check it in Spanish. Is that possible? Thanks …
We have TinyMCE advanced and the TinyMCE Spellcheck plugin installed. The “proofread” button is there, but when you click on it, it does nothing. Any ideas?
Hi,
I cannot find the settings dialog for proofreading. I’m running a plugin for additional styles and formats in tiny mce. Could this be a problem?
What can I do to find and access the settings?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Since the latest update and the update of WP 3.9, I have noticed the plugin adds this class to each highlighted word:

This never happened on the earlier version, is there anyway to find a solution to this?
In WordPress 3.9 the plugin dosen’t work. The misspelled words are marked but the suggestions menu dosen’t appear.
Since I updated WooCommerce to 2.1 the spellcheck no longer works in the product short description meta box. It no longer shows the button in the visual editor but when I switch to text editor it shows up but doesnt work.
However, it still works in the normal editor meta box.
I can’t use this plugin, because when this plugin is activated, i’m logged out of my site every time i try to save a post. Deactivating the plugin solves the problem.
Why would this happen?
Amazing plugin that was very much needed with WordPress 3.6
Is it possible to add a function so that admins can choose what to enable within the users profile edit page? It is way too many things there that not all sites need.
I have personally stripped code to remove some options:

I believe that this type of option would be very beneficial for most multiple author sites.
Hi, is there any way to add this functionality to the wp_editor frontend function? I’m using a custom upload form which allows users to submit posts from the frontend, but i’m gettign complaints about the spellcheker disapearing, this plugin is awsome, but could really do with it hooking into every TinyMCE instance that is called.
