Multiple times now I have spent HOURS working on the timeline and when I click UPDATE everything vanishes. Looks like this is a historical issue with this plugin. I paid for the PRO version but apparently that was wasted money since this has been an ongoing issue for years with no response or resolution.
Greetings,
You are off to a nice start and although somewhat limited in options, for the free version, it is a workable enough plugin.
Two problems I noticed in testing.
Also noticed in Timeline Shortcode -> Style, options you refer to as ‘caption’ most people would call ‘content text’. Not a bug, just an observation.
Using WordPress 6.4.3 with PHP 8.1
I spent time styling the default timeline, and adding entries, and saving my work as I went. Everything was fine. The shortcode displayed the timeline on the page where I added it.
Then I clicked “Update” one more time and all of my work vanished, and the timeline vanished from the page it was entered on, and the plugin went back to its default, as though I’d never done the work. I lost a couple of hours of work, and I have to do everything over again, so instead of redoing my work using your plugin or paying to upgrade it (why??) I’m going to uninstall this plugin and find something more reliable to use.
Hi! My question is how to enable the editor users to edit the timelines in admin panel? When I access the timeline page (in back-end) with a editor role user, the content of the timeline to edit is hidden.
Thanks!
Gabriel Oka
After the update yesterday, my page with the embedded timeline won’t load anymore and I get an email with the following content. Any help would be appreciated, for the time being I deactivated the plugin.
WordPress-Version 6.0
Aktives Theme: Astra (Version 3.8.5)
Aktuelles Plugin: Timeline Event History (Version 2.3)
PHP-Version 8.0.20

Nice design. Thanks
HI,
When I upload an image to the timeline it shows in admin but on the front end it is showing a broken link.
Looking at the url it is putting %20 at the end of the image url for some reason?
Thanks

Having the same issue as another user here. As entries are added and the timeline updated, randomly all of the entries will be lost and it defaults back to the original 3.
Hello,
I would like to make some suggestions,
An area should be created where we can add a link in the title or content section.
Thanks.
1. Anyway to increase limit of 20 items with Timeline Builder?
2. Anyway to control image appearance with timeline builder? I can do this is I make a Timeline from Timelines> Add. See https://funkyhistory.com/philosophers-1200-1900
3. Timeline Builder only allows 1 style, right?
I’ve tried to use WP export for my Poets, WP Timeline on my local site,
then WP import the WP Timeline to my live funkyhistory.com.
I made the Poets, WP Timeline with the “Event History Timeline” plugin.

I extract the code to let you understand better. In the title of the timeline is showing the word: “Staff” instead to show the title of my timeline. Is there a way to change this text? I deactivated title but it does not disappier.
<div class=”module module-fancy-heading tb_2szd700″>
<h2 class=”fancy-heading tf_textc”>
<span class=”main-head tf_block”>
Staff
<span class=”sub-head tf_block tf_rel”>

After new Timeline Event History plugin update.
Today after adding am image to Mary Shelley in my Writers Timeline in Funkyhistory.com my “Writers” timeline disappeared.
All recent images for 12/2020 still say they are attached to “Writers.”
I’m using the plugin Timeline Event History plugin.
My philosophers and ancient Greek timeslines are still ok.
