I’ve been using this great plugin for a number of years with no problems.
It still works for some images but I have been getting blank images returned. I believe it’s something to do with the srcset parameter WP has introduced.

If you add a new, custom image size (with crop argument set to 1) in WordPress, and uploaded image is smaller than that size, WordPress will not scale it up (effectively breaking the aspect ratio), which might break your design / layout, that depends on certain image size.
This plugin scales your image up first, and then crop it, so you always have all sizes ready.

The plugin exactly do what it say! All of my post thumbnails have the exact same size now, no matter how small or big is the uploaded image or which theme that I use!. For existing post use it with “force regenerate thumbnail” plugin. I was searching for the solution for ages! Big Thank you for the autor!!!
