I set up Theme My Profile and it looks like a great plugin. However, the link to Your Profile shows users the Login page, even when they are already logged in.
How can I set this up to make Your Profile go the profile like it is supposed to?
I have tried using the default_action=”profile” but that does not work.
]]>Hi All,
I am new to WordPress (3.4.2) and trying it out along with the “Theme My Profile” 1.3.1
I have installed and activated the plug-in and updated the html on the newly created User Profile Page to include the short code [theme-my-profile].
When I log in with my test user, I get an error:
“Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_reset_vars() in C:\Users\U001WIN\Desktop\InstantWP\iwpserver\htdocs\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\theme-my-profile\theme-my-profile.php on line 210”
If I remove from the User Profile Page I get a blank page (as expected – I have not added any content). So this must be WordPress/ Theme My Profile related.
The install of WordPress and Theme My Profile is standard – can anyone shed any light on this one and help a newbie out?
Kind Regards,
YYo
Hi Jeff,

Hi,
I blocked myself one time “as an admin” from accessing Dashboard. Just to see whats next. Well now I see that I have small problems. Actually I can access my Dashboard when I delete the TMP plugin. But when I re-activate/re-download it is still using old settings and redirecting me to the profile page. Is there any file I can edit or what should I do to bring the plugin settings to default??
Thanks!
PS Removing, deactivating doesnt help …

You will need to delete the “theme_my_profile” field from the wp_options table using phpMyAdmin.

I want to make the following fields un-editable:
– First name
– Last name
– E-mail address
– Display name
The BIG BUT: I’m no coder. I suspect it is too simple a task (like inserting one line) to justify hiring a coder to do it for me, however.
Hence, the appeal here ….
]]>I love what this plugin does… thanks for creating it and giving it away!
I hate to complain when a plugin is free… and this isn’t really a complaint. In fact, maybe it’s just something I’m not doing right.
BUT I can’t help be jarred when I see how each of the text boxes line up (or don’t).
Such as, NAME INFO — all boxes are aligned further to the right than the CONTACT INFO boxes, which are further to the right than the ABOUT YOURSELF section.
In case it makes a difference, I’m using with Optimize Press.
Thanks!
]]>I’m having a problem. When users log into their profile page, and attempt to update their information, the page is refreshed but the updated information is not saved.
When I disable theme-my-profile, the normal wordpress profile page updates the information correctly.
I’ve determined that the problem lies with Theme My Login. When I have both Theme My Profile and Theme My Login active, Theme My Profile is unable to update the profile fields. When I disable Theme My Login, Theme My Profile works properly.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Evan
Hi,
I really like this plug-in but i have some trouble when I’m uploading a avatar from the front end.
I’m using Simple Local Avatars by Jake Goldman (10up), Oomph Inc, but when i want to save my profile i get this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_handle_upload() in …\wp-content\plugins\simple-local-avatars\simple-local-avatars.php on line 197
Line 197: $avatar = wp_handle_upload( $_FILES['simple-local-avatar'], array( 'mimes' => $mimes, 'test_form' => false ) );
Can somebody explain why this isn’t working?? And maby help me solve the problem.
Thanks,
]]>Just downloaded and activated v1.3.1 with WordPress 3.0.1. When I try to refresh my home page, it keeps trying to pull up the page until eventually giving an error. In Firefox, it’s:
The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
Odd thing is that other pages load (albeit slowly), including all the admin pages. As soon as I deactivate the plugin, things return to normal.
One thing about my site is that my “home” page is not my “blog” page. That is, browsing to https://www.mysite.com takes you to another page I created, and new posts appear on https://www.mysite.com/blog.
]]>Since that last update users that are not logged in are required to login to view my site. Any idea why this is occurring?
]]>And by the way, I don’t find how to get in touch with you, how to register to you FAQ and you’r website is empty….
After 30mn looking for help, I surrender.
This is not really what we should call a “user friendly” approach !

After installing the plugin, I’m redirected on the profile page and no way to get back to any back office’s pages…
??

]]>When I update my information from the profile page, it tries to redirect and I just get a white page. I have to manually refresh for it to work (the changes are being saved though)
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
