Okay, so if you’re still using this plugin (like me) after all these years, you may have noticed that it stopped working recently.
Basically, Flickr is now requiring SSL for API calls, so you need to look through all the PHP files in this plugin and change any https://api.flickr.com lines to https://api.flickr.com.
Then everything should work again.
]]>After installing the plugin is not activated. Corrections here helped activate it. But the setting is still not open, error – You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.
]]>Hi there,
I would love to customize the flickr photo album so that I can use it with my jquery cycle gallery that I am using already on my website (e.g. https://www.muenchphoto.de/2012/03/cuba/).
Now jquery only needs all of the flickr photos on one page to be in the same div container and will do the rest.
How can I achieve that with the flickr photo album plugin? As my php-knowledge is limited I don’t know how the plugin exactly loads the pictures on one page and I am not able to combine the flickr photo album with a jquery cycle gallery.
I would appreciate if someone could suggest how to do that. I would also consider paying an amount to be negotiated if requested if someone could help me out with that. Just contact me here via PN. thanks
]]>When you click the little flickr icon when adding images to a blog post, it loads the WordPress standard ‘Upload photos’ dialog, instead of the Flickr gallery I’d expect.
I’ve had to revert my wordpress back to 2.9.2 as its a live site so I can’t recreate the issue for you at this time.
Cheers

]]>Hey everyone!
Tantan-Flickr is a very nice plugin and it works for me quite good. But everytime i upload a new gallery to flickr, i have to go to the page of the plugin in the backend of wordpress when i want to sync the albums.
I really want to make it work with a cronjob. How can i do this?

Would love to know if the author will ever revive this plugin; if not, anybody out there willing to pick up the slack and do a rewrite? I would, but I’m pretty sure I’d get lost in all the code… I have been using the plugin since it was first released and have tried many others – this one is by far the absolute best. I am hoping it does not go by the wayside…

]]>clearly the plugin’s not being developed / updated any more. the dev’s clearly put a lot of great work in to date, so that seems fair to me. the question now is what should i use to replace it ? something that would just drop-in and work would be ideal.
any success stories?
]]>You have to add wp_register_activation and deactivation hooks to replace old ones, and even when you do (which then lets you activate the plugin), you still can’t authenticate it with Flickr.
If you put in your API and Secret, it brings up an authentication button, but if you click it, you get a weird Apache cpanel test page and no authentication.
Strange stuff. Was a good plugin at one point but it’s no longer supported by the author and it doesn’t work reliably. Time to find something else!
]]>I love this plugin, and have used it for many years, unfortunately, it no longer will activate after Version 3.x of WordPress…on my blog anyways.
]]>Since the upgrade is doesn’t activate. Doesn’t work.
]]>Since the 3.0.2 update, I’m unable to activate the plugin. It just stays grey in the extensions page.
Since I’m a heavy user of this plugin, I had to switch back to 3.0.1 to have it working again…
]]>Is there any way of hiding private sets or sets that only contain images marked as private?
I have the option chosen to hide private images but the sets are still showing (and it shows how many images are in them and shows the set title image even though it is private). Surely nothing private should be shown at all.
]]>I use the Arras theme and all pages generated by Flickr Photo Album give a 404 error while this theme is active, but if I use the standard template that ships with wordpress then it works ok.
Any ideas how a simple template can break this plugin?
