Hi,

I have a site with multiple custom post types that I want to sync with another. I’ve put the plugin on the source url, and provided credentials. I’ve selected the page I want to sync, but it doesn’t seem to pull across to the target domain.

1. Do I need to install the plugin on the destination too?
2. Is it possible to select certain post types / taxonomies to sync, or will it take everything?
3. How do I know that the sync has been successful?

Aber der Navigationsblock wird nicht korrekt synchronisiert. Wenn ich in Thailand den Navigationsblock bearbeite, erscheint in der Schweiz dass das Menü nicht existiert.

Liegt es daran, dass ich zwei unterschiedliche Themes verwende?

I have used this useful plugin to let my customer to synch from the main website https://www.len.eu/ (European Aquatics Official website) and the water polo championships website https://championsleague.len.eu.. It worked great sharing posts from main to second website, but now stopped to work. I have tried many things:
– removed and reinstalled plugin (both websites)
– removed and added again credentials in plugin (in both websites)
– disabled wordfence firewall plugin and security plugs (both websites)
– API seems ok

One strange thing is when I select Sync Post Checkbox (in post configuration) and click save, box remain checked… but, when I close and reopen post, sync box appear disabled…

Is it now possible to delete a post on the destination site from the source site?

Hi! We are using this plugin, and everything works great except for the fact that the taxonomy hierarchy gets lost from one site to another. Looking into the code, there’s a part where it seems to be handled (in the file includes/sps_sync.class.php); however, it doesn’t seem to work. After modifying the code a bit, we found a way to synchronize the hierarchy and handle any updates to the name and parent of individual taxonomies.

We wanted to understand if this issue is unique to us or if it’s something that isn’t functioning correctly. If it’s the latter, we can share our solution with you. Please let us know, and thank you so much! You’ve written a great and very useful plugin!!

I have tried this plugin on a multi site and try to sysnc with a staging multi site. On the root site it allows me into the settings but on the other sub sites it says critical error.

I have this The Events Calendar plugin it has a field for Venue and Organizer where they’re also a post type where those will be assigned to the event.
Upon creating the event post the venue and organizer are not being synced to the other site after the event is published https://prnt.sc/vDRLAQiHKVrg https://prnt.sc/oRi5zO_mfduF https://prnt.sc/t59L69dtKP12.
Tried to create/sync the venue first and then create the event but still it does not include the venue to be synced in the event post.
Is there a way to add the venue/organization sync to the created/sync event post?

I’ve been using this plugin for some time without any issue. On Thu, 30 May, it was updated to 1.6 version, and it stopped working.

After reading other topics at this forum, I tried to uninstall Sync Post from both webs, and installing it again. It seems that the settings are stored somewhere in the database, as when reinstalling all the parameters were already there. I tried to clean them manually, but I could not find the table name.

Anyway, I’ve restored a copy of the 1.5.1 version, and everything is working fine again.

Is there any way to debug this error? Could you tell me which are the database tables storing the config, so I can try to wipe them and reinstall?

This used to work for me, but now it seems to have stopped working.
I have reset the target site, as it was more or less empty, and tried to set it back up from scratch, but the posts don’t get sync’ed to the target site any longer. Can you help with some pointers on what my be the issue?

I have gotten the plugin to work well. The posts get imported and are visible in the Posts area of the backend.

When I create a page to list the posts, by using the Query Loop block (using wordpress 2024 theme) it also works well on the edit page but when it gets published, the Query loop does not display. Only the page with title, and the other blocks that are added to the page. But not the list of posts that the query loop should show.

The posts themselves show well too. It is just (as far as I can see) the query loop to list posts that does not work

Jetpack tells me to uninstal this plugin because Sync Post With Other Site <= 1.5.1 – Cross-Site Request Forgery.

Should I, or can somebody explain what this threat really is? I assume somebody technically could start posting to my site posing as me.

This plugin worked really well for me! I noticed that a few had issues with the latest versions, but I has pleased to find out that installing it on two brand new 2024 WordPress, worked really well for me.

In the main website every article is manually assigned to an author.

When I sync the article I find it in the other website but the author is assigned to the admin user even though the user author exists.

Do I miss something or the plugin can’t assign the right author?

A client has one old site. Along with a newer site.
The old site remains as a kind of archive. While the new site has a lot of new material.

The use case.
Site one.
This page: https://religionskritikk.no/nettmagasinet/nettmagasin-edwien/ Has articles about Edwien (One specific category).
They would like the two newest articles to be shared to the second site edwien.no.

Is it possible to select a category and for instance 2 posts to automatically be shared from one site to another? If that is not possible with this plugin do you have any thoughts as to how I might do so without hand coding this feature?

I would really like to have something that adds a post to multiple sites that would be fantastic. I see that it says ”Add more site” in a button at the bottom of the options, however this does not appear to work.

If this plugin could post to many wordpress sites this would be a popular plugin.

We tried to sync two sites and the plugins works great, but we noted that for some pages or posts created with BeaverBuilder, the sync is not working.

Additionally, when we are syncing WooCommerce products, the main featured image is copied but not the other images in gallery.

Do you have any roadmap about adding such features to the plugin?

This plugin has been working fine for over 12 months and now has just stopped syncing. Has something happened to it?
Both website’s using the plugin have the most up to date version of the plugin.

I have tested this plugin in combination with the Divi theme and I found two issues:

Divi theme has its own editor builder. When you exit this editor, or save within it – sync does not happen. This is might not be possible at all perhaps without a designated version of the plugin for Divi. This is just minor and can be worked around using method mention below, but with catch.

If I start the standard WordPress editor (with Divi, the page just shows a single button – open page with Divi editor), I can hit update and the sync works. But the catch is that both the local version and the remote version is modified. Divi theme inserts <p> tags in all text where you have pressed enter and this magic disappears, probably due to how the sync plugins hooks into events.

Can I make 2 suggestions for settings ?

1. Option to set the post date as the current date / time instead of taking the original post date/date
2. Option to set the post as draft, not the same post status
