]]>Hi, I used the plugin of Sydney 2 weeks ago, but it’s look error when we see it online. The menu can’t be reach perfectly. it doesn’t looks a like the theme demo must looks a like.
]]>Hello, I would like your help please.
Using the aThemes Sydney theme, I’ve been getting the following error in the top of the portfolio widget on the site, ever since updating all plugins and the theme.
Deprecated: Function _register_controls is deprecated since version 3.1.0! Use Elementor\Controls_Stack::register_controls() instead. in /hermes/bosnacweb05/bosnacweb05ca/b1277/nf.thebusinessvideoscom/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5379
When I deactivate the Sydney Toolbox plugin, both the Portfolio widget and the error disappear.
I looked in the FTP plugin folder at four “block-portfolio” php files but could not find the phrase “_register_controls”.
WP and all plugins and themes are updated. My host is running PHP 7.4.
Your suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you!

Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.
I’m wondering when you will bring this plugin into compatibility with the current version of WordPress. The plugin states it’s only compatible up to: 5.8.4
Thank you

I have tried your suggestions:
>>deleting Sydney Toolbox from cpanel and downloading/installing fresh plugin
>>updating the code of the sydney-toolbox > demo-content > setup.php page with your code, Kharis.
Not sure where to go from here. I need to make some changes to a page I created using Sydney Client and now can’t access the page.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

I am helping someone else update their website and now it has crashed, help would be highly appreciated in these circumstances.
]]>Hi,
I have two sites actually using the Sydney theme -a theme I love as it offers me all that I need and it’s easy to edit.
On both sites I use 2 tools from Sydney Toolbox on my front page (edited with Elementor).
However, with all the plugins up-to-date (latest versions of this morning) plus the latest wordpress version, when I activate Sydney toolbox, my site crashes… (I have the latest Sydney theme – everything is updated).
Obviously, without the two tools, my homepages don’t look as they should….
]]>Hi,
till Sydney Toolbox version 1.08 it was possible to customaize the social icon in the team carousel. Since version 1.09 (Changed font icons to SVGs) the overwriting of an icon is not possible anymore.
Overwriting was possible with following CSS code:
.team-social .fa-facebook:before {
content: ‘\f3ee’;
}
This overwrites the facebook icon with a custom one. After a downgrade to Sydney Toolbox Version 1.06 everything works fine again.
Hi, I have had some incompatibility issues between the new Sydney Toolbox and Elementor. Had to deactivate Sydney Toolbox to get rid of the critical error that crashed the site. It worked until recently when I installed all suggested updates to the theme, toolbox, and elementor. The website is now missing the front page slider that is part of the standard front page of the Sydney theme. The content (pictures and texts) for the slider are still shown under Theme Appearance > Customize, but they are not shown on the page.
Have been having problems for weeks now and wonder if I shall choose a different theme, or get rid of Elementor.
Thanks!
PS: @romanbon created a new thread as requested.
I’ve been asked to look at a website, which is using the Sydney theme (updated to v1.60), Sydney Toolbox (v1.09), and the Site Origin page builder. I’m helping them gradually move across to Elementor, but in the meantime…
Since recent updates, none of Sydney Toolbox’s custom posts can be viewed. They still exist, and can be read in edit mode, but when trying to access them publicly (there’re published), all URLs show the 404 page. They mostly use the employee category, with posts shown on a carousel using the “Sydney FP: Employees” widget. The widget still shows each page’s image and employee name, but the posts themselves can’t be accessed.
I’ve tried disabling and re-enabling the plugin, clearing the shared server’s cache, and disabling Elementor in case there’s a clash. What would you suggest next?
If I uninstall and re-install the plugin, will they lose their custom post content?
Many thanks,
Simon
I updated the Sydney Toolbox plugin and my site is now down and shows a Fatal Error message

There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.
Avoid installing the 1.08 Sydney Toolbox theme, or updates to the core theme, at all costs.
The new toolbox install breaks working WordPress sites, and if you do manage to get the new theme installed, you will see a radically different theme design and layout.
I’m not complaining too loudly here, because obviously the theme is provided for free.
A known working combination is Sydney theme 1.55, as well as Sydney Toolbox 1.05.
aThemes, you should roll back all these changes immediately. You DON’T push major architectural changes into a minor release update.
]]>WTF !!! No-one tests the releases before publishing them ?
I installed the 1.08 with confidence and my site crashes.

WordPress version is 5.3.2.
Sydney version is 1.43. (Yes, this is old, but I can’t upgrade it at the moment.)
Sydney Toolbox version is 1.08.
All plugins are disabled except for Sydney Toolbox.
]]>Hello,
I’ve just updated to version 1.07 and this crashed my website. I had to disable the plugin through FTP to get my site back.
Is there a fix on the way?
]]>I installed and use this plugin (1.05) in a test page. It was great, I like it, easy to handle and make it nice site. I updated to 1.06. And I see working its handling was bad, the plugin crashed. Lost mini icons, inner section of two parts became one and the whole page slipped.
I use it on the original site too and dare not upgrade…
Does anyone know what’s wrong?
Planned to install and activate this plugin, but after reading this message displayed on the WordPress plugin page stating ‘Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.” Any resolution for this? Or worth or not worth the risk?
]]>I have a problem with my Welcome page. On the part of it “We make photography” all six buttons redirect to my old site, though in the menu (right upper corner) everithing is correct.
I’ve re-downloaded Sydney Toolbox plugin but can’t fix this issue yet. Would be thankful for your help.
I tried to install Sydney Toolbox for my wordpress website https://www.copperforging.net. But when i active this plugin after installing, it shows below error:
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in E:\HostingSpaces\forging\copperforging.net\wwwroot\wp-content\plugins\sydney-toolbox\sydney-toolbox.php on line 103”
How can i solve this problem and active Sydney Toolbox successfully?

I looked back in the history of that page in the file manager and they all look the same. I don’t know how i can roll the site back without being able log in.
Any suggestions?
