Hello, I wonder if it’s possible to adjust (decrease) the font size of breadcrumbs?
Thanks
As of version 5.1 of Yoast SEO, this plugin’s code is obsolete. The problem is in the file surbma-yoast-breadcrumb-shortcode.php, line 36:
$wpseo_titles = get_option( 'wpseo_titles' );
This should be changed to:
$wpseo_titles = get_option( 'wpseo_internallinks' );
When I run a search query on my site via the searchbar I put into the topbar, sometimes I get results coming from the breadcrumbs that I have on some of my static pages.
From what I can tell, it’s still executing the shortcode within the post excerpt, but instead of printing the page title, like it should for the page it belongs to, it’s printing the archive title, which includes the search term.
For example: Home / Search Term: “particulate”
Refer to this image, if you’re having trouble understanding my issue:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ZgtpzfLPSqaDy_duV3GnkwaPT_kBya93
At this time, I can’t really tell if its adversely affecting my search results, but it’s a concern I felt you should be made aware of. I can imagine that if I had your breadcrumbs plugin on all my blog posts, and other custom post types, I would have the same problems in my other post archives.
Hi,
I had breadcrumbs showing on 2 websites powered by the Astra theme. I was using the shortcode and had it placed into the single.php file.
For some reason, the breadcrumb won’t show. I have breadcrumbs enabled in the dashboard so I have no idea why this shows: literally
[wpseo_breadcrumb]
instead of the actual breadcrumb.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Hello,
My breadcrumbs are broken with the latest update and I don’t see a new upgrade in my dashboard. I do have breadcrumbs enabled. How can I fix? I get must enable shortcode error.
YOAST SEO was bumped to 7.0.1 today. There appear to be a good number of changes according to the changelog in their README text.
After updating, I noticed that the update broke the Surbma – Yoast SEO Breadcrumb Shortcode plugin.
Message appears: “Please enable the breadcrumb option to use this shortcode!”
(I have breadcrumbs enabled in the YOAST SEO advanced menu.)
My short term solution is to rollback my YOAST SEO version (to 6.3.1) until I can figure out a fix. Any ideas?
Hi
I am getting the message “Please enable the breadcrumb option to use this shortcode!” whilst using the shortcode within a ubermenu custom content menu item. I have Yoast SEO plugin installed and activated. Using the Total Theme by the way. Any ideas?
I basically want to style the breadcrumbs using the css below in my child theme but no success with the yoast shortcode or this one.
/* =breadcrumbs yoast
————————————————————– */
#breadcrumbs {
font-family:Arial,Verdana,sans-serif;
font-size: 24px;
line-height: 1.4em;
font-weight: 600;
margin: 0px;
color: White;
background-color: #0060AF;
}
#breadcrumbs a:link,
#breadcrumbs a:visited {
text-decoration: none;
font-size: 24px;
line-height: 1.4em;
font-weight: 600;
margin: 0px;
color: White;
background-color: #0060AF;
}
#breadcrumbs a:active,
#breadcrumbs a:hover {
text-decoration: underline;
font-size: 24px;
line-height: 1.4em;
font-weight: 600;
margin: 0px;
color: White;
background-color: #0060AF;
}
#breadcrumb-spacer {
}
Hello,
i have installed your plugin (Thank you! ?? because my theme’s customer support suggest to do it, also if I have already installed yoast SEO plugin.
I put your code [yoast-breadcrumb] but, as you can see, breadcrumbs displays only last page.
For example, if I am in Cosmetici-Linea Viso e Corpo – latte doposole, I see only “home-latte doposole” and not “home-linea viso e corpo -latte doposole”.

Can you help me please?
Many tks ??

Hi,
I would like to have no underscore on the links in the breadcrumbs. I′ve tried this:
a.breadcrumb:link {text-decoration:none !important;}
but it doesn’t work. As far as I can see it’s because the links in themselves have no reference to the breadcrumb class. The shortcode is enclosed in the div thus:

[yoast-breadcrumb]

Any idea how to do this?
Regards
Johan

This is the plugin I’ve been looking for for a long time. Glad I found it, however I’m having a problem running it.
I have Yoast Breadcrumbs Enabled (however I did not place the code anywhere, I think it’s not necessary, right?) and I use a page builder from the theme I bought (Kinetika).
I put the shortcode [yoast-breadcrumb] in a Richtext Box which works with other shortcodes, but it does not show anything. It’s empty space.
Do you have any idea what is going on here?
Thank you in advance.
D.
P.S. I edited the post a bit.

Hi
I have been asked to update plugins on our website and updating from 1.01 to 1.03 has (appeared) added a line break (of sorts) after the (Yoast) prefix (“You are here:”).
Please are you able to advise?

Could you please post an example of the shortcode with parameters?
I would like to insert a product category between Home>> and the current page name.
Right now the shortcode displays this:
Home >> Projector Rentals
But it should show this:
Home >> Rentals >> Projector Rentals

Hi,
I have installed the plugin (gratefully!) on all pages of my site including my custom “blog” page.
The only issue I am having is that on when I click on any of the blogs in the blog list, the detail page does not have the breadcrumbs.
In other words, there are breadcrumbs on:
/blog/
but no breadcrumbs on:
/pen-supports-great-projects/
Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you.
