]]>I have this plugin installed on a multisite install, and my users are reporting that it works and sends email notifications on some sites, but not with others. I did notice on one site, where it isn’t working, the theme is a Genesis child theme and I don’t see the checkbox to subscribe for email notifications. Is that a requirement?
]]>Hello!
I tried to translate the plugin for a long time before I loaded the function:
load_plugin_textdomain( 'subscribe-to-comments', false, dirname( plugin_basename( __FILE__ ) ) );
into my theme functions file.
It think it means that this function doesn’t execute in the plugin file.
When I click on Manage my subscription link – the subscription manager page does not show, instead it shows a boxed version of my homepage ?
Any ideas ?
Many Thanks
Emma

I have subscribers emails in my subscriptions database that are no longer valid. So when the “Subscribe-To-Comments” plugin sends notifications to these invalid addresses, I receive a “message undeliverable” notification message.
I need to remove all instances of these undeliverable emails… but when I go to Tools > Subscriptions > Find Subscriptions and enter an email address, I get sent to a page that says, “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”
How to I change permissions for this page so that I can actually remove these dead email addresses from my site?
Thanks,
Doug
Using the latest WP (4.5.3) and the subscribe to comments reloaded (160115), when any non-admin attempts to “Manage” their subscriptions, a page is shown that says:
You have requested to manage your subscriptions to the articles on xxxx. Follow this link to access your personal page:
However, no link is there. Screenshot of source: https://screencast.com/t/Vi8Xz3ci7r Screenshot of “Management Page” options: https://screencast.com/t/1muTxnO1aaur

]]>Hi Subscribe to Comments!
This plugin is just perfect for what I need and seems to work very well in my testing (haven’t launched my site yet).
Question: my site name has an apostrophe and an ampersand in it. This has not been an issue with my theme or anywhere else. the site is: charlottesogn.com (Charlotte’s Oil & Gas News)
In the Subscribe to Comments settings, I put my site title in the From field, as charlotte’s oil & gas news. In all emails sent, the “From” field looks like this:
[charlotte's oil & gas news].
I even tried editing the From field in the Settings to:
charlottes oil and gas news” removing the characters that need to sanitized. It didn’t help! The From field in all emails still looks the same.
How can I fix this? Any ideas, suggestions, workarounds greatly appeciated!
The info you need is:
site: charlottesogn.com
theme: Customizr Pro v. 1.2.18
All plugins, theme, WordPress are fully updated.
Thank you!!!
Charlotte

]]>Hi Subscribe to Comments,
I really like the simplicity of the plugin and it comes very highly recommended from my theme developer. I understand that it is robust, having been in service for many years.
BUT, for me a couple of things don’t function properly:
– The subscription manager shows up in the dashboard under Comments, but does not show up when you click on “manage your subscriptions” (Participant” or “manage subscriptions” (Site Admin). You see the page title Comment Manager and nothing below.
– The “Notify Me..” text is on the line BELOW the checkbox, not next to it (as it is below this form as I type this). I tried unchecking the “CSS Clear” option in the dashboard, and it keeps automatically re-checking that box when I try to save the changes.
My website is https://www.charlottesogn.com and I welcome any and all test comments and registrations to test the system and see for yourself!
My theme is Customizr Pro v. 1.2.17 (the latest version) and I’m using the latest versions of all plugins, and the latest version of WordPress. I did have some additional comment subscription plugins installed to compare, but I’ve deleted all of them to avoid conflicts. I’ve deleted all plugins and themes I’m not using. Since doing all that, I’ve flushed the cache and restarted my computer.
Any advise or help is greatly appreciated!
thank you,
Charlotte

]]>have a reader that want’s me to unsubscribe from on of my popular posts that they’ve subcribed from the Subscribe to Comments plugin, but I don’t know how to do it.
This post claims

Click on their e-mail address and it will take you to their manage account. You now can select to remove the subscriber from the subscription.”

How do I remove him from subscribing to the comments for that post?

After the recent update for this plugin, I can’t get this plugin to appear at all. My readers loved this feature; please tell me where/how to get it working again. I don’t believe it’s a plugin conflict because it still isn’t working even if I turn off all other plugins. Thank you in advance for any thoughts/ideas anyone has, thanks!!
]]>If I am not wrong,
the code line 168
add_filter( 'comment_form_defaults', array( $this, 'add_checkbox_to_default' ));
triggers the add_checkbox
function that defines the checkbox_shown

Then, if you are using the comment_form
function with a parameter comment_notes_after
different from default, the “Notify me” checkbox is no more displayed.
I have commented that line 168 !
