I’ve just deleted the plugin as it did nothing. I still seemed to have to put something into the template? section and that isn’t shown in installation, so I don’t know how to do it. I looked in the support forum for ways to alter the colour and font of a sub-heading but nobody had answered that question.

Again I tried several other sub title plugins that just did not work – either due to needed upgrade to function with the latest WP version or conflict with another plugin I use.
Use this one !

Thanks for helping me figure that one out.

A question instead. How can I change the font and size without learning how to code?

Does what it says it does and does it well. A nice set of options available, particularly custom post types, perfect.
One suggestion, perhaps add a placeholder that says “Enter optional subheading here” or something along those lines to the input box.

Pretty slick. I’m also surprised that isn’t part of the wordpress core but this plugin feels very much like core code not a hack and the intuitive template tag works great.
Just remember to enable it on posts in settings before you toss it out ??

I’ve been using this plugin for a long time and it simply works. This makes up for something that should have been in WordPress core.
The author has added some nice options which just makes this good plugin even better.
If you do any kind of news articles, this is one plugin you definitely need.

Great Plugin, but it no longer works with 3.5. I hope it gets fixed soon!

An obvious feature that should be part of the WordPress Core, that is. Why are subheadings not available by default? This question puzzled me. I spent a considerable amount of time poking around the guts of WordPress to eventually realize that basic functionality common sense doesn’t always find its way into software—even software in 2012.
This plugin makes up for that by adding the much-needed subtitle/subheading/”other field in title” thing to WordPress.
My only critique is that after a recent upgrade to WordPress, it’s not working any longer. I hope it gets fixed soon!
