Simple, straightforward. When used in conjuction with Widget Options, it allows me to display subcategories on static pages dynamically.

Nice plugin, easy to use. It would be nice to have an option to show the parent category as well. Not as widget title/link as you can do now, but just as a regular link. So if you are in category “Computers”, you can show:
– Computers
— Desktops
— Laptops
— Tablets
Instead of:
COMPUTERS
– Desktops
– Laptops
– Tablets
Another nice option would be to show subcats for the current category. So without having to create different widgets for each category.

Apart from the missing ajax to actually exclude the sub-categories of ONLY the parent category(if i have two sub-categories of different parent categories that have the same name then I have to test whether it excluded the right sub-category ) the plugin is GREAT!
It is fully functionable, has everything that I need to make the categories apear the way I want. A great feature is the exclude option, gives more flexibility.

So many people are after a simple widget just like this…. now, if only it could present the choices as a drop down so that it operated just like the regular Category widget :} hint…
