We are in the process of cleaning out our spf record which has grown well beyond its limit. This plug in works great and were about ready to get the paid version, however, we do have to clean up the existing spf record. Does this plugin affect or add to the spf record? There is a rather large mail gun presence and I’m hoping this plugin has nothing to do with it.
Thanks!

]]>Hi There.
Thanks for creating and maintaining such a great plugin.
I just wanted to report a small bug when choosing the “Use another email” option in the plugin settings.
Here are the steps you can follow to reproduce:
1) Install Contact Form 7. You can use the default form it creates. (I suggest CF7 as that’s what I tested on)
2) On the Stop WP Emails Going to Spam settings page, make sure the “Use another Domain email” field is empty
3) Then select the “Use another email” option and enter you custom email address (e.g. [email protected])
4) Complete the contact form and click the submit button
You will then see the CF7 error message “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”
Now try the same steps again, but this time for Step 2 enter “bug” in the “Use another Domain email”. Make sure the “Use another email” is still selected though. What will happen now is the contact form will send as expected, but the email address will be a combination of those two fields e.g. [email protected] instead of [email protected]

Thanks again and have a great day!
I had an issue with polylang plugin. The translations per domain settings where not working as the actions the plugins makes came accross a 500 error caused by this plugin.

Please fix this issue as I will not downgrade my php version to solve this.
hi. i made a donation to you and would appreciate if you can help.
im using your plugin and its all fine. however, in elementor i have a form where the email’s From is enquiries@domain but the issue is the emails being sent with the From as the WP admin email. Also, the elementor form has a Reply-To which is also being ignored.
Please can you tell me which setting to change in your plugin to allow it to respect the headers Elementor is trying to set on outgoing email? thank you.
]]>Hi! I’ve added the plugin Stop WP Emails from going to Spam and configured the TXT record as requested; however, my emails are not arriving at all. Where can I look to troubleshoot this issue? People need to reset their passwords.
]]>..nvm
]]>Hi, there. I tried reaching out via your site’s contact form, but was redirected here. I ran Wordfence on a client’s site today and this plugin had multiple files flagged for having modified versions, specifically the /vendor/composer/installed.php file. I’m reaching out to confirm if any of the info listed in the plugin is correct. There’s mention of ‘Squiz labs PHP code sniffer’ and also ‘/wp-coding-standards/wpcs’. Just want to confirm if this is correct and should be here.
Thanks!
]]>Hello Alan! Q. It seems plugin do not update/refresh the SPF record it displays in plugin settings section no matter if I Disable/Enable plugin or completely reinstall it. Is there some time delay I am not aware of or is it a simple glitch that it will grab the record only upon first install, and won’t refresh changes later?! Thanks.
]]>Hello,
Like others in this forum, I have installed the plugin, set the settings to the defaults, but my contact form is still sending the emails to the “Spam” folder. GoDaddy hosts my domain as well as the MS Office 365 email we use.
I obtained the DNS records from GoDaddy when my site went live and have also had WP support take a look at all DNS records. There are three SPF records which are as follows:
v=spf1 a mxptrinclude:secureserver.net~all
v=spf1 include:secureserver.net -all
v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all
The only email address that the form will send form data to is “info@southernviewenergy”. No other email with the domain of “@southernviewenergy” will receive form data. An outside domain (gmail) receives the data as expected (not in spam or junk folders).
Any recommendations for solving this issue would be most appreciated.
Thank you!
hello, I don’t know what to do with this information: Your IP appears in one or more spam blacklists ?spam blacklists?you may want to talk to your host to resolve your IP reputation
My website is brand new and the first I’ve created. I haven’t gone beyond testing it on myself and my family, so i don’t know how I am already blacklisted. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
]]>Hi, thanks for this plugin. After enabling PHP 8.2 I get the following error notice using the Query Monitor plugin. Perhaps you can take a look and fix it for a next release? Thanks in advance.
Creation of dynamic property Stop_Wp_Emails_Going_To_Spam\Admin\Admin_Settings::$donation is deprecated+wp-content/plugins/stop-wp-emails-going-to-spam/admin/class-admin-settings.php:40
Emails are still going to spam
]]>Hi,
I receive the notification “Your IP appears in one or more spam blacklists you may want to talk to your host to resolve your IP reputation”.
Where is this being measured? I checked several blacklist tools and our IP is not appearing on any of these lists.
I find this quite a serious statement, so I hope you can share how this is being measured.
With thanks,
Demian
Hello,
hoping someone may be able to help me. my emails are still going to junk.
I have been in contact with godaddy support regarding my issue with email generated by my WordPress site being sent to recipients junk folder. they have been assisting me and instructed me to download and use this plugin. they have also configured the SFP record.
Both my office 365 and WordPress are hosted with them.
they have ran out of ideas and advised me to contact you regarding this issue.
please can someone help?
]]>Hello,
Plugin said, “The default settings of this plugin can often be enough to solve your problem”.
But still, I get emails in spam.
Please help me.
Thanks!
hi,
i install this plugin and it is saying
Recommend you add +a to your SPF record
how to add +a SPF record?
thank you.
I started translating your plugin, but found a small error in the following translation string (the first placeholder is incorrect):
%1$The SPF redirects to another domain, recommend you manually check the redirected SPF%2$s
This should be
%1$sThe SPF redirects to another domain, recommend you manually check the redirected SPF%2$s
]]>After activating the plugin for the first time and saving the settings, the following message was logged in my error_log. Plugin seems to be working fine, though.
error
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught ValueError: Unknown format specifier “T” in /var/www/vhosts/…./httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/stop-wp-emails-going-to-spam/admin/class-admin-settings.php:436
my config
WordPress version 5.8.1
Theme: Neve (version 3.0.6)
Plugin: Stop WP Emails Going to Spam (version 1.1.5)
PHP version 8.0.11
This may not be important, but I thought it worth mentioning. Starting a day or two after the most recent version of the plugin was installed, we started receiving these periodically in the above log:
PHP Notice: Undefined index: otheremailname in /home/oursite/public_html/wp-content/plugins/stop-wp-emails-going-to-spam/admin/class-admin.php on line 114
This is on a WP 5.6.2 and PHP 7.4.16.
]]>Hi, i have installed this plugin but the email that is going out is continue to land in spam/junk box ??
how can i solve?
Thank You
]]>Hello,
When try to set up the plugin appears that IP address as below:
Sender Permitted From ( SPF )
Server Info
Server IP Address: 127.0.0.1 IPv4
SPF Record
Cannot get DNS records – refresh this page – if you still get this message after a few refreshes you may want to check your domain DNS control panel
I know 127.0.0.1 is not server IP. How could I do in order the plugin detects the real IP. DNS records are not on server, are on GoDaddy.
]]>I am stumped.
My SPF records checkout fine on all the various SPF sites. Is there something that I need to unblock as a port for this plugin to work?
]]>Hi
Good!, this contains your server IP address
i received the green status after the configuration but my emails are still going in the spam folder.
v=spf1 ip4:119.18.54.55 include:zoho.in +a ~all
this is my spf record.
]]>Hello.
In the “Envelope Sender” section, I see that there are only 2 options. You either use the “Use Admin Email” or the “Use another Domain email” option.
Now, given that the “Use Admin Email” can be of any other domain, and not necessarily the domain the site is on, it would have been awesome if you had added another option where I can enter any other email address belonging to any domain.
In our case, the site is on a subdomain, abc.xyz.com. I want the envelope to be associated with a specific email address called [email protected]. The sub-domain is merely for the hosting part of it, and not the email component.
Is there any way of achieving this…??
Thanks in advance.
]]>I’ve just installed the ‘Stop WP emails going to spam’ plug in and have the error message:
Current record SPF record for studentwellbeingcourse.com:
v=spf1 include:spf.titan.email ~all
Recommend you add +ip6: to your SPF record
I tried asking the WordPress support to help me figure out the next step but they said I needed to ask the plugin developers.
I’m not a developer but would so appreciate any help on what I should first to try to address this error message.
Aidan
]]>Edit: My mistake. I realised on save the SPF details update.
In the SPF section, the current SPF is for the domain of the admin email address, not the domain of the website.
Example:
My admin email is [email protected]
My site email & domain is [email protected]
In the SPF section it says “Current record SPF record for developer.com:”
Both the SPF value and label reference the admin domain developer.com, rather than website.com.
The IP address is correct for the website however.
]]>Hi and thank you for the plugin.
My new host wants port 25 closed. Will this mean NO WP system emails would work? Would in this case only solution be SMTP plugin and some Host for emails?
When your plugin says this at the bottom:
Current record SPF record for jtribble.com:
v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all
Recommend you add +ip4:127.0.0.1 to your SPF record
Does that mean I am supposed to create a new TXT record with just “+ip4:127.0.0.1” or does it mean I add that to the existing record so it looks like this “v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all+ip4:127.0.0.1”
]]>In case the SPF record contains a redirect, you get a warning “Recommend you add +ip4:… to your SPF record”.
Example:
v=spf1 redirect=spf.host.com
In such a case, you could do a dns_get_record for the redirected host (which then typically contains the correct IP in its SPF record).
Best,
Marc
Hi,
there are servers – like mine – that do not add their IP to the environment. Therefore you get error in the metabox2 “Cannot identify a valid IP address” (and “PHP Notice: Undefined index: SERVER_ADDR” in debug.log).
class-admin-settings.php > line 298
You might want to get the IP using gethostbyname. Works like a charm ??
if ( isset( $_SERVER['SERVER_ADDR'] ) ) {
$ip = $_SERVER['SERVER_ADDR'];
} else {
$ip = gethostbyname( $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] );
}
Cheers
Marc
