This seems like it could be a really useful feature that ensures legit users don’t end up being blocked.

Particularly useful to bypass CloudFlare and VPN IP changes etc.

Why is it not recommended and how do we implement it anyway? Just by putting usernames into the allow list?

We lost money to buy the premium version but now it’s discontinued?

First of all, thank you for the plugin.

I have noticed that any comment written in the WordPress comment box is banning users. This means a loss of a lot of traffic. For no reason whatsoever.

I have checked the plugin options and I don’t see anything to make this happen. According to the log, the reason is ‘allow admin-ajax.php’. Which makes no sense, since it is normal that when a person writes a comment admin-ajax is activated.

Just when I thought I FOUND the Best Spam Plugin it BLOCKED Me!

WOW! I just installed Anti-Spam: Spam Protection and after logging OUT of the WordPress ADMIN I want to see if the settings for Anti-Spam had changed. Instead After login successfully with my credentials when I got to my 2 FACTOR authenticator to supply my code I was told I had the wrong code even though I had my smart phone in front of me with the correct code still good for another 20 seconds. I tested this out on the 2nd site I had just installed the Anti-Spam plugin and the 2 FACTOR Authenticator told me I had the wrong code again. So I had to FTP and disable the Anti-Spam plugin in order to gain access which I was able to do on both sites.
CONCLUSION the Anti-Spam plugin does NOT work with 2 FACTOR Authenticator. The Plugin really looked impressive and I hoped it would be a winner but sadly it FAILED.
If you have a FIX for this issue I’ll be willing to try the Anti-Spam plugin again.

Received a security warning about your plugin.

The warning is worded as follows:

When checking to see the differences, I noticed that an additional description has been added that is confusing to say the least.

ORIGINAL Description:
“Description: Secure your WordPress sites and stop spam dead in its tracks. Designed to secure your website immediately.”

NOW CHANGED TO:
“Description: Secure your WordPress sites and stop spam dead in its tracks. Designed to secure your website immediately. Enhance your visitors’ UX with 50+ configurable options, an allow access form, and a testing tool.”

Users who try to reset their password get the message “Invalid username or password. Lost your password?” and cannot reset passwords. This just started recently even though I have not made any changes in that time. The problem goes away when I disable the Stop Spammers plugin. I have gone through the settings but cannot determine which is causing the problem. I have tried disabling the following with no luck.

Check for Short Emails or Author Name</small>
Check for BBCodes
Check for Periods
Check for Hyphens

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

When the Stop Spammers plugin is active, I cannot close notifications for certain plugins, namely the ShortPixel Image Optimizer plugin. These plugins take up a tremendous amount of space on the media page in the admin which makes is cumbersome to use. I like your plugin, but is there a way to completely disable it’s control over notifications in the WordPress admin?

I’ve activated the “Arithmetic question” in “Challenge and block”. But it doesn’t appear in the login, registration and comment forms!
Because you mentioned that the API is required for “Solve Media”, “Google reCAPTCHA” or “hCaptcha” only.
I guess “Arithmetic Question” doesn’t require an API?

How to enable Arithmetic question?

HI, emails like: test.a.u@ with 2 dots, fail to register. Can I disable this option?

I have input qq.com into the shortener, spamwords, blocked TLD’s and all are enabled.

We are still getting inundated with thousands of spam Gravity Form entries.

You state this plugin is compatible with GDPR but apparently it connects to at least 4 different servers (Paypal, Google, Cloudflare…) without the user knowing or having the possibility to opt out. Imho, you should at least modify the plugin description if you can’t modify the plugin.

Created po and mo language files but they don’t work. The plugin simply does not see them.
The files were created by Poedit by analyzing plugin php files in plugin/template translation mode.
I have several questions:

1. What should be the exact name of the translation files?
2. Where should the translation files be located? In the plugin language folder or language folder for CMS plugin translations?
3. Why can’t the plugin see the translation files?

I tried to put in the allow list only 2 IPs of admins, but the mails are coming again and again. Every week I check the list and it is filled with 10-12 new IPs.

How comes? How can IPs end on this list automatically? How can I stop this kind of spam?

I tried to go to your Contact page but your URL doesn’t load in Opera, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, or Edge. At least Edge loaded a page that said Host error.

Hello, recently I have noticed that I have many, probably hundreds of fake user accounts on my website, where the only thing they did was creating an user profile with spam text including one or more links as “Biographical Info”.

Because they refrain from posting additional spam comments and spam forum posts or because these are prevented by Stop Spammers, they remain very unnoticed. But all the profile pages with their spam text exist on our site which is bad.

Can Stop Spammers examine the Biographical Info and prevent registration or prevent saving?

Also I don’t know yet how to deal with the existing spam profiles to seek & destroy them.
