Apparently this plugin doesn’t work anymore. NOthing has been forwarded to my Steamit account in over a year, and no notice was sent as to why. I’ve sent an email, no response, tried to get into the discord chat, not able to….. so apparently it’s time to ditch this plugin entirely. It’s a shame because it use to work really well

terrible support
Nobody answers you, they treat you like you’re the problem

… the developers decided that they no longer connect to steemit blog but hive blog – really annoying, if you’re set up on steemit blog and suddenly your posts no longer show up there! A message or some kind of option would have been nice. Not everyone can keep up with all the details of the steem community.

I’ve used this plugin for a few months and it works just as it should. No issues, and everything I post on my WordPress blog is also available via blockchain in minutes. Brilliant.

Creating bridges for early adopters of new technologies with the rest of us is critical for them to succeed. As it is for us to cross over when we are ready.
Steempress creates a uni- or bi-directional bridge between WordPress blogs and Steem.
The bi-directional bridge needs to be activated by adding the comments widget from Steempress. Comments will come from both your audience on the WordPress blog and from users who see your post on Steem. Votes (having a value in STEEM) come from Steem users, so you will also add an additional income flow to your blog if you activate it.
I recently used the comments widget to both upvote the post and leave a comment and it works as expected! I also used the uni-directional bridge to publish posts from my blog to Steem.

This plugin helps me manage my schedule between posting to my blog and to Steemit. But there are some formatting issues from time to time, especially with video or animated gifs. I’ve had to correct them in Steemit after posting.
Those aren’t a big deal though. The bigger issue is that they set themselves as a 15% beneficiary. The reason why that’s an issue is it isn’t stated anywhere. I only saw it after I got a Curie vote and didn’t get as much as I thought I should. I looked on Steemworld and saw how they had taken the 15%.
The thing is, I don’t mind supporting a good product BUT I want to be told how it works. If it is written anywhere on the plugin description or on the settings or wherever, I can’t find it. Something like this should be big and bold so there’s no confusion or hard feelings.
I’d rather it were a slider for support too. Some might give 0% but others might like it so much they give 50% – you never know! But in any case, developers please make the beneficiary setting very obvious to anyone before they download it, and also make sure it’s clear in the plugin info after installation.

Initially I had some pre-existing posts that I wanted published. Thanks to dev help, used Bulk Actions in WP to manually push these to be published on STEEM. I manually publish 3 posts, two of them eventually get published 5 days apart. The third hasn’t published at all 10 days later.
Now that my “Delay Post” timer has arrived for all my newer posts, none of my new posts have been published. Delay value is set at 7200 (5 days). Have articles that haven’t been published which are upwards of 21 days old.
Needs to have some kind of local transaction log to see which articles have been submitted for publishing to the blockchain. Will continue testing a possibility on my end as to why this is occurring.

This plugin works wonders and save me a lot of time! Steemit is an awesome platform but there are still pretty bare. Hence, being able work directly from WP and get my posts published on both platforms is a major boost for productivity.
While it’s a fantastic plugin it’s not yet perfect for a few reasons:
1) This plugin is very new. Steem is very new! This is pretty much still in a “work in progress” project.
The devs are working very hard and responsive to feedbacks!)
2) There are some difference in the presentation and backend structure about Steemit that makes it more difficult to be 100% seamless.
I believe that with more users’ feedback .. and given some time it will evolve
Well done Howo and Fred!!

Even though, right now, this plugin only pushed my post on my blog unto the Steem blockchain for added exposure and monetization it works like a charm. I haven’t encountered any bugs and I’m very pleased with the result. It’s incredibly easy to setup.
I’m quite excited for the future versions of this plugin.

What I like using steempress in writing blog from my wordpress is that it automatically post directly to steemit blog post the same time or can be delay, provided you set up the timing accordingly.
Steempress also upvote my post on steemit.com which is very helpful because I am new on steemit and need some help. There are other apps that we can use to post on steemit too.. But those does not do any upvote.. I have tried a few. So far, I stick to Dlive and steempress for now.
I can set or schedule time and date. – it means I can write in advance and arrange timing for each blog.
Writing is easy on blog (specially me, I am sucks in writing.. I am still trying hard).
What I dislike about steempress is.. I cannot edit anymore my post once it is publish on steemit. The solution to this is .. Review, review and review the final blog roll before posting.
It does not support html code from affiliates. So take note on this one. Use links instead of html.
That is what I notice so far.
All in all, I love steempress.
Thank you for having you steempress on steemit blog and wordpress. It makes my world easier.

Steempress is an easy to use plugin that works seamlessly with Steemit.com. The plugin automatically posts your blog content to Steemit.com where you can earn Steem for your content. If you are not already posting to the Steem blockchain, Steempress is an easy way to get started and actually earn Steem for your writing.

For months now, I’ve been writing my Steemit posts using my WP editor. I’d then do a copy/paste of the text, add the graphics by hand, double check the coding… you get the picture.
With this plugin, I just check to make sure I have the little check box checked that says, “publish to steem” then hit publish and voila! A blog post on my WP and Steemit blogs at the same time!
Thanks so much for creating this plugin – it’s a wicked time saver!

For a new plugin this one is off to a great start right out of the door.
Looking forward to seeing more features and functionality added!

Everything works fine.
There is a problem, I get my bandwidth limit on steemit very fast, because I have an autoblog. After the bandwidth limit is fixed steempress isnt going on with posting.
It would be great if you its possible to select that steempress posts every 10,20,30,60 or 120 minutes.
Thanks a lot!

This plugin makes it super easy to cross post to Steem when you post to your WordPress blog, with all the same options you get on Steemit.

I blindly tested this plug-in on my @altportal blog on Steemit.com and it worked wonderfully. I’m going to use it on ALL of my blogs. I have several since I write and create videos on many different topics with all of the content eventually flowing to my Steemit account. This will make life so much easier!
Thank you guys!

This is a great plugin that allows you to automatically post to SteemIt whenever you post on your blog. It needs a few tweaks, but overall it’s off to a fantastic start.
I can’t wait to see what the developers have in mind to improve this plugin!
]]>Rating: 1 star
As of version 1.0.1 at least it works. But after making my first post through SteemPress, I can see the developers have hardcoded themselves as beneficiaries on my posts. They are taking a cut of my work, 10% total, and I can’t turn that “feature” off.
1. That’s ridiculous to begin with. Ten percent? That’s insane.
2. The 10% cut is not mentioned anywhere in the documentation at the time of this review. That’s what is known as lying through omission.
If you’re using this plugin, I recommend you stop using it immediately and change your Steemit keys. Do not trust dishonest people with your posting key.
