Searched Google, found this, installed it, went to settings, selected zip and relative links, downloaded, verified locally, patched a few bits, uploaded to S3… Job Done
One small hiccup I’ll raise a support request for as I’ve prior art. CSS background url’s

Homepage renders fine but whenever I click a link to a post I get a 404 error. Simply static works much better.

Yay! I can make my WordPress static.
WordPress > static HTML > Netlify.
Keep up the good work ??

The plugin is perfection. I only registered to leave this review

WP2Static is a revolutionary plugin which turn a dynamically generated WordPress pages into normal HTML pages like you save using CTRL+S using browser. Similarly, it does at server level for whole site.
I have used this plugin on few sites smoothly to deploy Static WordPress over BunnyCDN, Netlify. My experience for a normal blog is wonderful.
I have also taken part in trying beta version which feels faster, represent truly open source mind.
Not sure, how to say Thanks because that’s not enough!

Thank you

Thanks for this plugin. Great idea. In the world for Gatsby and all this JAM stack madness I just wanted to put a simple website on a static hosting and forget it.

Still quite raw, I had to do manually few fixes in the code and a lot of additional setup, but it works and works quite fine after all.

Overall it worked great. Thank you for making this available – really helpful and useful (and free!). I first tried creating a subdomain, failed in weird ways – almost certainly due to something dunderheaded on my part. I then tried creating a zip file and installing to a new domain – worked great, which to be honest kinda surprised me. I was expecting a bit of a struggle but it was easy-breezy. Contact page serves a 404 but I didn’t expect it to work and I can fix it. Google Adsense vanished – I can probably figure it out and fix it but probably won’t bother since I get approximately $0 from this site anyway. Great job and many thanks!

This plugin is almost perfect except that it does not support SFTP (FTPS but not SFTP) so unfortunately it’s completely useless for me.

Thank you seriously for creating this plug-in. I love all the options and it works really well when the other similar plug-in didn’t. Keep up the good work!

I’m a huge fan of Elementor. With this plugin I was able to export HTML static for other website development that does not use WordPress.
Super duper

I think the idea of this plug-in is good, but after processing my site for eight hours, it simply did nothing. So I’m trying again. Maybe I’ll get lucky?

UPDATE: after dozens (yes, probably 30+) of attempts to create a static version of my 8-year blog with WP2Static, involving three browsers, current and beta versions of the plugin, “tech support” and the forum, not to mention “documentation,” which consists largely of powerpoint presentations in exotic locales, I can sum up this plugin for someone who is not a web developer in one word: disaster.
If my use of WP2Static was misguided for this purpose, I apologize. I was under the impression it would allow me to create a fixed, WordPress-free static archive of my blog. I was wrong.

I’m surprised how well this works. It’s intuitive to use and I exported 2 demo sites in no time.

Seriously this plugin is what I need and many of my friends ask for – we all probably have too many wordpress sites and can’t keep up with all the updates – I want to move my bigger sites – but for now am using this for mini sites and feel so much better at night knowing they are on static
thank you Leon and the team for your care

This plugin doesn’t work. When I click on download button after running the site, the page refreshes and nothing happens

It does take a bit of tinkering here and there, especially when rewriting the URLs, but WP2Static is an excellent tool to bring site loading speeds really down to the absolute minimum.
Thanks for developing the plugin and keeping it up to date.
Also works with ClassicPress, so that’s pretty cool too.

I’m really impressed with how smoothly this works. I’m utilizing a variety of plugins and tools in the build of the site I’ve tested this against, and it’s handled all of them. Well done!

Just deployed this plugin to ~100 sites (60 single sites + 40 multisite sites) with automatic daily regeneration using the wp cli integration.
Had 0 problems.

I wanted to archive my site every 12 months into subdirectories (/2018, /2019 etc) and tried this tool. It worked perfect, first time! This far beyond my expectations, I was sure I would have to do some cleanup. Great plugin, highly recommend.

It took a few tries to get this working – but we now have a static website ‘copy’ of a DEV WP website that is currently hosted on Azure PaaS, running from an Azure Storage Account.
The zip file downloaded from the plugin’s UI didn’t have contents listed in folders – but there was another zip file generated within the Azure hosted website folders (in wwwroot/wp-contents/Uploads/). Downloaded this ‘hidden’ zip file, extracted the folder structure and files, uploaded all to an Azure Storage Account with the Static Website feature activated – voila!
Fabulous – exactly what we were looking for – now we’ll be doing the same for the PROD site. Did another test by changing to a lighter WP theme and child-theme, didn’t deactivate the heavy lifting security plugin or the caching plugin – WP2Static plugin just WORKED!
All internal and external links resolve correctly…this IS a game changer for us…
I’m impressed with Leon’s quick responses to my questions – he outlined some issues that needed to be done to the WP website after reading the debug logs he asked me for. He outlined caveats that he hasn’t specifically set the plugin up for working with Windows/IIS – but v 6.6.5 IS working on a serverless Azure Storage Account for us. Brilliant really! Thank you Leon – we’re watching for 7.0 and the add-on Azure options

I signed up for a WP account just to leave a review.
10 STARS!
I created a site with Elementor and pushed to s3. Initially took a little bit of time bc I couldn’t figure out the css issues, but WP2Static >> Advanced Options >> Delete deploy cache did the trick.
EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used this plugin to generate a static page from a WordPress page I make with Elementor. There was one photo that didn’t get linked properly, but it was pretty trivial to fix that and the rest of it worked great. I’m very impressed.

Thank you so much for a wonderful plugin.
It just works, at the very first time.

Does what it says, and deployment of the static site is quick and painless. Has lots of options if I want to fine-tune how I use it. Love it!

This plugin works perfectly. I am using it to deploy my site to Netlify. Wow!
