Hello. I really like the plugin but the phrase “Be the first to write a review” appears under every post. I set the plugin to appear only in a page of my blog, so how can I get rid of that phrase appearing under every post? Thank you.
]]>I’ve updated from v4.0.3 to v4.0.4 and the plugin now renders content for disabled post types.
public/stars-rating-public.php
has been updated in this patchset, but the self::status()
-check has been removed.
Are you aware of this change?
]]>Hi, Just upgraded to your latest version and now if a page doesnt have any reviews it shows the grey stars with “Be the first to write a review”. Is it possible to remove this text or change it to something else? or remove the stars and text completly until it gets a review like in the previous version.
Also in the Leave a comment section of the page the stars are all orange before a selection is made by the user. Is it possible to have them all grey to start with so its more obvious to the user that they havent made a selection.
Thanks for your help
Chris

Next is – I placed the shortcode in a divi text-module and its not showing up. Are there any known problems with some pagebuilders especially divi?
Cheers,
Dennis
I have inserted the shortcode <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[stars_rating_avg]’); ?> in the template file for a specific style within a posts display widget in Elementor. However, I have noticed that nothing appears prior to the first rating. I am unsure if light shaded stars should indicate this or not. I would like the stars to show even before a rating is made to avoid any disruption to the widget’s alignment or length. Kindly assist me with this matter. Thank you.
]]>Hi,
I installed your plugin both in my live site and my staging site. The plugin works in both and live and staging sites are identical (the staging was created a couple of days ago).
But in the staging site phpMyadmin I see this table wp_glsr_ratings
In the live site phpMyadmin the table wp_glsr_ratings
is not there.
What’s happening?
Update: I am thinking maybe glsr_ratings is not from your plugin? I installed a few rating plugins on my staging site. In that case where do I find the ratings in the database?
Also, I sent you an email about the other stuff a few days ago.
]]>Hello,
Thank you for this plugin, which seems tidy and it works.
We have about 400 blog articles on our website, 30% how-to guides, 30% top 10 roundups and 30% individual product reviews.
I would like these stars to only show on the individual product reviews, but I don’t want to manually insert shortcode in 100+ blog posts.
Any solution? (unfortunately roundups and individual product reviews share categories sometimes)

Hi! I notice that plugin gave fatal error on dashboard comments page when commets have reply:

When user leaves a comment we get an email but now with stars rating we want to change the subject line “XX has left a 5-star review on {post title}”
is this possible?

Hi,
Have you fixed the compatibility issue with Oxygen?
Because I still have the problem..
The DIV is displayed fine, but not the stars.
And I have a 404 error for the jquery.barrating.min.js file. I imported the hard code into my page. But nothing changes
Best regards

Hi there, just wondering if there’s shortcode or code in general, perhaps documentation, for what I need to insert into my comment template to show the posted review after the user has commented…
Thank you. -Nate
Hi there,
I have used the star ratings throughout my site but now they remain black and do not turn gold. I have included an example URL where this has occurred although it is a site-wide issue.
It is a resource loading issue – I am using Elementor/Elementor Pro as well as WP Rocket.
This is coming up in the console:
DevTools failed to load source map: Could not load content for https://pawsomedogstuff.com/wp-content/plugins/stars-rating/public/js/jquery.barrating.min.js.map: Unexpected token ‘<‘, “<!DOCTYPE “… is not valid JSON
Any help at all would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Colin
Hello,
Both Yoast and this plugin can add:
?“@context”: [ “https://schema.org/” ]”
This causes conflicts with Google in some cases and the star rating doesn’t show in the Google search results.
Can you create some checks to determine if another plugin is already adding ?“@context”: [ “https://schema.org/” ]” .
stars-rating-public.php line 121 is the place. ??
]]>Hello,
I set up the plugin but stars are not visible on the comment form, they appear as blank squares.
Here’s a screenshot: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/39177998?key=983ba7d4f45ab3072a2a3106e13861a8
What can I do about this?
Thanks in advance.
]]>Hello,
When you test the post with Rich Results Test gives an error on review snippets. The property “ratingCount” must be positive value. Any plan to fix that?
