Great free plugin with very fast support when needed, good performance, lightweight. Absolutely recommended.
My favorite for real time visualizations of information from wordpress database. I use it instead of embedding Google Looker Studio reports.

Current version of SQL Chart Builder not compatible with PHP 8 and WP 6.1.1. It will block your website immediately after installing.

A very powerful yet simple to use solution to display chart data directly from SQL queries.
Support is first class and very quick if required.
I road tested a number of other plugins before choosing SQL Chart Builder and this was definately the leader. 110% recommend.

how to show values directly on a bar chart

This plugin is exactly what I was looking for – a way to display charts of user data on a membership site. It’s the only plugin I could find in the repository that makes charts directly from sql, without requiring a pro version or adding a ton of other functionality. After a quick run through of the SQL tutorials on W3Schools, I was creating just the charts I needed. Will be using this on other sites.

This is a great plugin with great support and help. I needed assistance and they were right there with the solution. Too many of these plugins offer next to nothing in their free version and then say upgrade to the PRO version to do stuff you really want to do. This plugin does what those ask a premium for. As soon as this plugin develops a pro version, I’m getting on board!! I tried a bunch of the chart plugins and this one worked great out of the box. Skip the others.

I created report that look so very professional with this plugin. My client is so so happy and say it the best report they seen in their career. If you know how to massage this plugins you will get something that will make your client fall in love with your work.

It’s easy to use and produces attractive graphs from simple SQL queries… but it cannot properly display any text on the axis labels that contains “foreign” characters. The name “R?ntgen”, for example, will be displayed “R & ouml;ntgen”, with HTML code descriptions of o-umlaut rather than with the actual ? character. This is a serious defect… but there are no other equivalent graphing plugins available, so one must make do!
It’s incredibly easy to use and it produces attractive graphs from simple SQL queries: a lot of other plugins tend to require you to supply data in separate text or CSV files.
I did once have a problem with the graphs not displaying UTF-8 characters properly on the axes of graphs (so things like ‘R?ntgen’ would be displayed as “R & ouml;ntgen”, with HTML code descriptions of o-umlaut rather than with the actual ? character. But that got fixed around version 2.2.0.
With that fix in place, there isn’t a tool quite like it anywhere else and it has made my personal website much, much more useful in consequence.
The support I received back in 2019 was a bit iffy -but the support has improved by leaps and bounds since then, and they would now appear to be responsive and helpful, which is great.
Because of the improved support and the fixing of the UTF-8 issue, I’ve increased my rating for the plugin from an acceptable 3-star to a ‘I’m a fan’ 5-star one, as of March 3rd 2022.

Unfortunately, this plugin is only useful for very specific use-cases, because it supports ONLY two database fields (i.e. X and Y axis, which almost never makes sense for the supported pie chart type but anyway). The external MySQL connector works well, so that part is great, but the shortcode doesn’t output the charts and the “preview” doesn’t honor the width and height settings. So, this could have been great, with just a little more love and attention. Ah well.

Height, width and color are not working.

I installed this plugin as it is one of the only (free) ones that lets you populate the charts through SQL in stead of importing data. The charts themselves work fine, and I like the fact that it works with shortcodes. However…
1) when creating the charts, it does not take into account the custom colour, height and width; the outupt is always a huge chart, changing colour all the time
2) when installing the plugin, the Tabs plugin from SiteOrigin stops working. It still displays, but it becomes impossible to modify or add any Tabs. SiteOrigin says the problem lies with the SQL Chart plugin. As I did pay for SiteOrigin, the choice of which one to stop using was swiftly made…

Intuitive, provides all the necessary components for linking with other plugins, and the customer support was second to none. He/she/they quickly debugged the code and identified the issue (another plugin) immediately.

Easy tio use. Nice plugin!
The only thing that doesn’t work for me are the height an width for the charts.

Nice plugin, does exactly what it says, cleanly and efficiently. Even reports SQL errors (if you have any). Good work!

In order to see data with DecimalComma, it has to be converted to DecimalPoint.
(This makes 8,15 look like 8.15 and will make this plugin work. Data in table is still 8,15)
Use, for column, like this,
m3
replace(m3,”,”,”.”) AS m3
SQL code:
SELECT date, replace(m3,”,”,”.”) AS m3
FROM your_tablename
WHERE 1
Thanks for an accurate and quick response!

Plug-in builder has not responded to any support questions for the last two years. Weirdly, he/she seems to be adding updates from time to time. I am assuming this is their awkward way to try to get people to pay for support.

This plugin adds a table prefix based off of the site name and not the designated database prefix. Fix the code.
No documentation of any type is available.

Hi, the solution works great, easy and it is simple.
Wanted to create a donut chart showing a value from the database, where it is displayed as a percentage of the maximum value. Did not know how to get the SQL query correct. Got help in just a couple of days… Great!

I would like to thank you guys for the plugin. I installed it for a small project and without any hassle it works right away.
Very clear notes also given to make sure which axis your are going to put what types of data.
Thank you guys. Keep up the good work.
