I like this calendar and have used it on several sites. I have just discovered one item that would make it better and that would be a front end form where users could add events that were approved by admin. It could have its own form or integrate with Formidable amd Gravity forms.

This calendar has all of the functions we need for our club website, but it loads very slow and seems to cause an issue with wp-admin/admin-ajax.php. The issue persists when I have ALL other plugins disabled and am using the twenty-ninteen theme. Support has been decidedly unhelpful and takes days to respond to each forum comment. I can’t help feeling brushed off.

I like that it’s simple despite others calendar, but …
WEEKS
The most css can not be changed, because it has inline style, and the worst, it has height in the tag, inside the plugin setup files, for example it has , <tr height="28px" style="width: 200px"> inside the setup files, that can not be modifed even with custom javascript files.
I spoke with the support team, and they didn’t care; that after I buyed it !
Now I see that for a damn underline, when you have an event they created an entire table, with others <td>, just having those underlines, instead using <hr> with a border and some alignments.
And the most mistake : they didn’t used classes almost at all ! If you want to style your calendar you need to use a long line like #bigcalendar1 #calendar_1 form table tbody tr:first-child

Have been searching for a calendar with all the features present in the WordPress Spider Calendar. The straight foward input, format customizations have proven themselves for a client with many events and special dates, often updated or with detail changes. Integrated perfectly.

Excellent Calendar …
It would be better if:
1. You could add new dates to the calendars from the post administration where it is placed.
2. Place in a post or page a calendar according to Event category.

Things just don’t work (the event list doesn’t display with the plugin, or with wrong date), the display is ugly, and the whole solution is completely not user-friendly (impossible to start using without watching the tutorial).

I use this calendar for events with our HOA site. I don’t need anything special but it’s easy to put in our annual meetings and any projects we have ongoing. If you are looking for something free and easy, this is your best option. You won’t be sorry.

This calendar is good enough for my needs and has been working well since download over a year ago. Within the last month the calendar no longer displays events. The calendar is there but no events. Support suggests changing themes but I don’t want to risk losing other data. I will have to delete and replace Spider with another calendar I suppose.

The Spider Calendar is the only free calendar I could find that allowed for recurring events. It’s been very user-friendly and easy to implement on my site. When I had a minor bug crop up, Web-Dorado was very helpful and responsive, and fixed my issue before I’d even realized it.

Web Dorado collection of plugins are easy to setup, and configure. work out of the box with minimum intervention or fully customisable to your liking. I have tested many plugins out there, and their calendar, sliders and backup work flawlessly. The calendar free version offers many more features that most plugins, same for the slider. The Pro versions add some nice features if you want a high level of customisation.
Support is what i would expect, a response to email within a few hours.

Trying to use this plugin with the Avada theme. I tried it using the button AND the shortcode. The button didn’t work at all (page just freezes). The shortcode put a smooshed blank calendar onto the left side of the page (I had put it into a full column). To bad, because I really thought I would like this plugin and wanted to replace the modern tribe events calendar that the theme came with. Is there any workaround on this??

I liked the calendar until I had a problem with it. Trying to install the paid version made all my data disappear.
I emailed webdorado several times over 2 months. I kept asking the same question. During the 2 months with no response from customer service I gave up. There is no way I would use anything from Webdorado again.
No telephone number for those of us who pay for the calendar! Just email which might be OK but … the first thing I get after 2 months of not having the calendar (my trust in customer service is about as low as it can go after 2 months of no reply to my emails) is instruction to give Webdorado all my user IDs and passwords. Come on. That is ridiculous. My trust dropped through the floor.

One major shortcoming – does not allow you to skip dates on recurring events, making it a big headache when you have a recurring event that simply does not occur several times a year. Also would be nice if they would give the ability to link to a map location for the event. Very easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Considering they are located on the other side of the world, they were extremely prompt in answering emails and fixing any issues.
