I’ve stress-tested nearly all caching plugins, and this was the only free plugin that performed on the same level as WP Rocket. In my opinion, it’s clearly the best caching plugin with a free version.

I have tested most of the available WP cached plugins in their ‘out of the box settings’. Most are pretty average at best. Litespeed obviously has their own cache which is a nightmare to set up, and performs worse than this. I was pretty surprised. Some bloke left a scathing review about the poor results on a mobile, but for me it was the opposite. It was the only plugin that improved my mobile score (not by much) – I guess they fixed whatever wasn’t working. Initially my Pagespeed scores were Mob:61 Desk:77 and after I installed the plugin they were Mob:68 Dsk:90. It only raised my mobile score 7 points, but it was way better than Wp Super cache, Wp fastest cache, Cache enabler, Litespeed cache etc etc. The plugin layout is a little clunky perhaps, but all points for performance in my book. This review is about the free version.

Broke the basic gallery in Divi. I had a 3 column desktop gallery in Divi with it set to go to 1 column on mobile. When logged out of the WP editor, the 3 column gallery reverts to 1 column on the left side of the page. Look terrible. As soon as I deactivated Speedy Cache, gallery came back and looked fine.
I hadn’t activated anything apart from enabling the cache. I wanted to see why it’s being recommended by my host/server.
