I’d like to ask, how can I have posts from single category.
You answered that in your FAQ: “For example, to limit your results to posts in category 3, you might add something like the function below to your functionality plugin:”

I’m total rookie in wordpress, but what is “functionality plugin”? is that functions.php file? Or if i have to donwload it from github (https://github.com/theukedge/functionality-plugin/blob/master/functionality-plugin.php), where should I place it?

I installed soup then there was an update to the plugin literally like next day, not thinking much of it i just hit the regular “update” button and it updated, now i’m stuck with an outdated version of the plugin and an up to date version, if i try to remove the old version it removes both of them, if i remove both and install only the new version the old version reappears in the plugin list.

What do i do?

Hello! I am trying to install 2.0 of SOUP and keep getting an error when I try to activate the plug in.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class soup_widget in <DIRECTORY PATH> on line 181

I tried uninstalling the plug-in and reinstalling it and I receive the same error.

thanks for this plugin.
I think there’s a little bug.

In my multisite it does not keep the options for newsletter, rss and credits. When I disabled them and open the widget again, they’re marked again, but it stores them.

I would like to see a possibility to change the rss-text in widget.

Wow! Great plugin. There’s simply nothing else like it. Any plans to allow users to see list of upcoming posts in a page or post (as opposed to just the widget display).

As almost every article on the site is under different custom taxonomy (not post), it is showing nothing. Can you please update the plugin or tell me where to hack the functionality?

really nice plugin, just one mention. wp 3.4.1 plus plugin 1.7 in german: you can’t disable newsletter, credits, rss. as soon as you hit save the checkboxes get checked again.
