However, I have just found out that it loads Font Awesome 5; the template I am using, though, already loads Font Awesome 4.4.0 so there is a conflict and the icons of the template have disappeared.
I think you should allow users if they want to load the new library or not, maybe with the possibility to load a “legacy” version 4.

when the option Open in new window is used I will suggest to add the attribute rel=”noopener” in order to improve both performance and security.
To cite Google recommendation:
When your page links to another page using target=”_blank”, the new page runs on the same process as your page. If the new page is executing expensive JavaScript, your page’s performance may also suffer…
On top of this, target=”_blank” is also a security vulnerability. The new page has access to your window object via window.opener, and it can navigate your page to a different URL using window.opener.location = newURL.
Please considering to add the attribute rel=”noopener” that is the easiest suggested fix.

]]>Just installed this plugin and am trying to follow the plugin’s own installation instructions. They say “Go to Settings > Socials Ignited and fill in the social profiles that you want.”
I do not have this option. There is nowhere in Settings > Socials Ignited that gives any options at all to configure any social networks. Likewise there is nowhere to “select the icon set” as instructed either. Nor am I finding the 54 social icons the plugin says are included.
Did the plugin change and the docs just weren’t updated?
Would love assistance with this. By all appearances this seems to be the only plugin that does what I want, but I’m just not able to get it to work using the instructions provided on the page.
]]>I noticed that after activating Socials Ignited, which I love, my Storefront Mega Menu is not working anymore. I disabled my other plugins (except Woocommerce en Storefront Parallex Hero en Storefront Mega Menu and as soon as I activate Socials Ignited the Mega Menu does not work anymore.
With not working I mean that when you hover over the menu items the submenu does not appear anymore.

To workaround this issue I disabled ModSecurity through cPanel temporarily which allowed me to save without issue.
I’ve opened a ticket with my host to see if they can determine if ModSecurity rules need updating or if there’s anything that can be done through the plugin to avoid this issue. When I get a response will update this thread.

I saw a demo of a site with this plugin, and the icons darkened when rolled over. I don’t see any option for this in the widget.
Also, when I tried to use the Etsy logo (fa-etsy) it just didn’t import. It just makes the icon look ajar with nothing in it.

In addition to the socials ignited widget that is in my footer (which is centered in the page), I also put the socials widget in the body of my home page but can’t get it centered. It is aligned to the left.
I’m assuming I have to edit the CSS file? I don’t even know how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

I use W3TC to minify my css-files, I think there’s a problem with the formatting of the url in this file: socials-ignited/css/font-awesome.css .
If I turn minify on, it will turn ‘../fonts/fontawesome-webfont.eot?v=4.5.0’ into ‘https://www.maartenprovo.be/wp-content/cache/minify/000000/ae77b/://fonts.googleapis.com/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.eot?v=4.5.0’ which off course doesn’t work.
I’ve now entered the full url which solves the problem. But is there a better solution? If you update the plugin my changes will be gone …

I remove all version info after query strings by default. Most version information is always placed behing ver=. My suggestion is therefore to use ver= instead of v=, so that pluyins and customizations that remove this keep working ??
