]]>I use WordPress 4.0 with theme Customizr.
My social media icons on the homepage of my website with domains .net and .com are appearing as green outlined squares. The icons still work however if you click on a square. My primary domain with .org has icons functioning fine. Any fix for this?

I’ve read that you can change the order of the icons by going to settings and dragging them to the positions you want. However, I don’t seem to have a settings option for this plug-in. Maybe I’m missing something? Just want to put them in a different order.
Thanks
]]>My blog posts are showing a duplicate social media icons at the end of each blog post. Every blog post is duplicated but most of them show twice (facebook, twitter, google+,Linkedin). Please help.

]]>Hi – will your plug-in enable me to have 2 sidebar widgets with the same social media icons configured for 2 different people?
Thank you in advance!
The Google + Icon only has a turn on/off feature. Are you going to add a box to add a custom URL?
]]>Great plugin! I am using it on a sidebar and would like to change the text color from black to purple. Is there a way that I can do that?
Also, the widget is not aligning under the widget directly above it. Any suggestions?
Many thanks!

]]>Hello,
Is there a way to disable the RSS feed icon from showing? I only want to use certain icons on the site. Please advise when time permits.
Regards,
Alex
after installing the social widget, all of my other widgets dissappeared from the footer in my theme. Is there any way to fix this?
]]>Hello, I have installed the plug-in, as well as activated it.
I cannot seem to find editing options for the plug-in on my dashboard, and there is also nothing displayed on my website.
My site URL is https://www.elevationhealthcare.com
Thank you for your help.
]]>Strange thing just started happening, some of the icons I had set up to use and that were working properly just vanished. Specifically the Facebook and Twitter icons. But the Yelp icon remained.
When I went to the plugin settings panel and selected a different theme, most of the icons in each theme were not showing up.
So I found and uploaded just the icons I needed (32×32 PNGs) and the first time I selected that theme the Facebook icon was not there (just text saying Facebook-Icon, the name I had given the file) but the Yelp/Twitter icons were fine.
I can add a URL to a missing icon but it never appears. I have cleared the cache and activated/deactivated the plugin numerous times. Can’t figure it out, very strange.

I can see the icon but it doesn’t link to the YouTube url provided.

]]>Hi all,
I’m very new to WordPress, so I’m sure there’s a simple solution to this.
I added the social media icons widget to my footer (using default icons), and I’m getting this big dot, and an ugly space below the icons (see below):
https://www.zachariahcrockett.com/
Any advice on how I can fix this would be greatly appreciated. I’d like the icons to be flush along the bottom of the footer, to the right of “Zack Crockett.”
Thanks!
Zack
Greetings,
Sometimes I like to add some icons/features to this plugin but unfortunately I don’t know how to work with SVN (or how to contribute to a WordPress plugin on this site).
I suggest that you create a GitHub repo so others can contribute much easier.
I’ve created a repo in this topic before but then deleted it, and now I want to add the Upverter icon and am confused how to do that.
Regards, Tamer
]]>I had the same problem that you addressed in the thread “Google Plus icon won’t let me plug in URL”.
I resolved it by navigating to the plugin’s icon directory (/wp-content/plugins/social-media-icons/images/iconset/Default/) and renaming the icon’s filename from googleplus.png to google.png. This caused the text box to open when I clicked on the icon, and I entered my Google+ URL.
However, the icon doesn’t upload to my homepage. I tried several times, cleared my cache, etc., but to no avail. I didn’t have this problem with the other icons that I uploaded.
Any suggestions for resolving this?
Thank you.
]]>Thanks for this great widget! I’d love an Instagram icon, though. Is that on the horizon? Thanks.
]]>I am having an issue with the Google+ button overlapping another button for some reason. Any idea why this is happening?

I would like to move my customised icons across to the right to line up with my search bar in my header area.
I have tried amending the float area’s in the editing area of the pluggin but no luck so far. Please can someone help on this?

Hi there,
I just fixed a localization issue with localization.
The part of the code that generated the title of the link with “Link to my/our xyz Page” was all wrong and not working.
Ive changed to somethig like:
$iconlinkTitle = sprintf(__('Link to %s %s Page', 'SMCWidget'), (empty($smc_plural) ? __('my', 'SMCWidget') : __('our', 'SMCWidget')), ucwords($icon_name));
I can send you the code if you like to updated your plugin.
I also translated it to brazilian portuguese. Where can I send it to?
cheers
Leo,,
]]>I have just downloaded this plugin and installed it. I am using it on the premium Enfold theme with the default theme set. So far I have enabled just six of the widgets (contact, website, Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, and LinkedIn) and they are arranged in that order.
However, on my website (https://cygenmedia.com/index.php/about-us/) there are four widgets on the top row, one widget on the second row, and two widgets on the third row – it decided to add the RSS widget all by itself even though I have not enabled it.
Please could you advise me how to get it so it shows only the widgets I have enabled, and only in the order in which I drag and drop them in the widget control in the admin panel please?
]]>When I click on the Google Plus icon, it says “Enable Googleplus icon”, but it won’t let me plug in the URL for my google plus page.
All of the other social media icons allow me to plug in the URL except for Google Plus. Can you please help me?
Akin,
First of all I’d like to thank you for your great contribution to WP community!
it’s brilliant!
I don’t know how to use RSS link and I’ll be happy if you tell me how to get rid of it … please!
I didn’t put it on mu pannel but it appears every time.
Thank you!
I want the space below the widgets to reduce. It sticks out on my sidebar (which is currently hanging below my content) How can I do this?
]]>Can you provide step-by-step instructions on adding custom icons? Thanks.
]]>I just installed this plugin and none of the image icons are working. They are using the Default theme and are pointing to the following path:
/plugins/social-media-icons/images/iconset/Default/facebook.png
How can I fix this to point to the correct image paths? It should be pointing to:
/wp-content/plugins/social-media-icons/images/iconset/Default/facebook.png
I like this widget, but just about every other plugin has a set of default links for things like sharing on twitter, or facebook, or adding to stumble upon.
In there a default list for this widget that I can use?
]]>I’m using version 1.2.7 of this plugin (which is AWESOME, by the way), but I’m having trouble when I try to re-order the icons.
I’m using a custom set, and the icons are displaying on the page, just not in the order that I want them to. I go to Settings page for the Widget, and it lets me drag them around to reorder, but after I hit “save changes” and reload the webpage, the icons still do not show up in the correct order.
Any idea what might be causing it?
]]>My icons have a slight indent on the sidebar which throws off the look of the sidebar. Not sure if it is the theme, I am just using the default Twenty Twelve them.
Here is a screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/qQZnF9R.jpg
Is there any way to get rid of the indent?
Thanks and great plugin.
