Since the latest update yesterday (v3.3.1), the plugin appears to have completely stopped working – wont post to either Facebook or Twitter.
Can’t see any error message logs anywhere – running PHP7.4 with latest WordPress single site installation.

I use the message format below for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram:

It works on Facebook and Twitter, but on Instagram the POSTMETA is not resolved to the actual content, instead it shows the string itself: ‘{POSTMETA:_yoast_wpseo_metadesc}’ . This does work on Facebook and Twitter.
Any thoughts on how to address this?

I’ve encountered an issue with the auto-publishing feature of the Social Media Auto Publish plugin.
After installing and activating it, I set up our Twitter account, but unfortunately, the posts aren’t getting published automatically on Twitter.
In Twitter setting fill the all these fields
API key
*API secret?
*Twitter username?
*Access token
*Access token secret
when I checked in log displayed the below message
“: When authenticating requests to the Twitter API v2 endpoints, you must use keys and tokens from a Twitter developer App that is attached to a Project. You can create a project via the developer portal..”
Could you please guide me on how to troubleshoot and resolve this issue?

]]>I would like to point out to the developers a somewhat annoying problem when scheduling posts, the scheduled posts completely ignore the option not to show in X or Facebook, always sends them automatically when publishing the post, something that should be respected as the editors sometimes do not want to share certain works in social networks.

]]>Hi, we use another plugin to post articles from a rss feed and that plugin went crazy and posted 100s of duplicates. But your plugin then posted those 100s of duplicates to social media. Just spent ages deleting posts on our blog and different social medias.
Shouldn’t your plugin have caught this? Is there any duplicate posts prevention?

Observational Issues (TUMBLR):
‘Attachment to be posted’ settings for Tumblr’:
- ‘None’ – Sharing Succeeds; formatting rules respected.
- Permalink shared as plain text rather than link (maybe a Tumblr restriction? A clickable link would be practical).
- Caveat: Post Content inadvertently shares elements which aren’t human readable, i.e. article feedback plugin elements.
- ‘Image’ – Sharing Succeeds; Formatting rules ignored because only Image & Title are shared (correct outcome).
- A Link to originating post would be practical (and so nice to have!)
- ‘Link’ – Sharing Fails; nothing is sent to Tumblr.
Notes:
LinkedIn sharing works successfully. Will report findings for Facebook & Instagram once my apps are reviewed and verified by Meta.

Just started using your plugin on my sites and got it setup perfectly and working on one site but having issues on the other. Twitter sets up fine but Facebook does not show any pages to select from in ‘Select Facebook pages for auto publish’ field. Both sites have the same settings and their own apps that are also setup identical. The strange thing is that in the log i see an auto post attempt to Facebook but an error that states ‘Invalid album name /photos/You must provide an access token.’
I have it set to upload image to timeline album which is there and works (used to auto post with another plugin). I’ve checked all Facebook app settings at least 10 times and even regenerated the app secret key but still no pages to select. Also de-authorized and authorized a few times.
Any help would be appreciated as i’d like to use your plugin on this site also.
Edit: tried to setup a new Facebook app and authorized and same issue. (page does show up to select during authorization.)

]]>Love the plugin, been using for awhile. Recently, it stopped posting to Twitter with certain parameters. It definitely doesn’t post to Twitter when we attach a Featured Image to the post. It does work with no image attached.
]]>I searched for Facebook’s API per hour limit and it is 200. I am only being allowed to post 3 or 4, at the most. While I also post to Instagram, even if we count those together (FB and Insta) I am still nowhere near 200.

1) Facebook does not allow me to ask for pages_read_engagement and pages_manage_posts before I make a successful API call.
2) I can successfully authorize SMAP plugin with the test app but I can not see my page in the “Select facebook pages for auto publish” box. Because of this, I can not use the test app and make a screencast.
What am I missing? Thank you!

]]>Your plugin seems to be messing up the permalink on facebook. While the link that the featured image points to is correct, if you have Permalink selected in the Message Format for Posting, some posts link to some random page or post. I am having to go back now and find the ones that do this–you cannot tell by looking…you only know when you click the link and goto a different page or post than the one shared. How do I fix this? I am now unable to fix anymore for the next hour as I have used all api’s fixing the ones I have found.
]]>I have attempted to follow the steps to set up auto posting to Instagram, but run into my first problem here:
2: Now it will redirect to the all permissions and features page and in this, we can select the??pages_read_engagement,??instagram_basic,?instagram_content_publish, and?pages_show_list?permissions and click on the “Request” button.
But when attempting to request access for these permissions the following error appears:
Cannot select Request Advanced Access for Pages_read_engagement without running Test API Call. I cannot find directions to do this, or see if this is a new requirement.

I am using the same setting that I tested on Demo site, and it was successfully posted at demo site.
From Demo-site, there are no problem to post Twitter. All the settings are same as Demo-site. but I have this error. Is there anything I have to check?
Is there a limit of how many posts can be posted to LinkedIn? Surely it must be more than ONE? I am getting this error in the log after successfully posting one post: “Daily API count limit exceeded,only 1 api calls left.“
How do I fix this?
]]>After finally getting everything setup and working, I was able to push 15 of my older posts that I updated to Instagram. However, the 16th one, with the same settings everywhere is not showing up on instagram. Is there a post limit/day?
]]>I have successfully created app and setup facebook, twitter and linked in, but Instagram is baffling me. I have an account, I created the professional account info, I see the Gatehealing – Instagram in Accounts in the Accounts tab of Meta Account Center (also see it in Profiles). I have input all the account information. When I try to autorize and continue with my Facebook login info, then select Link Account, it takes me to a generic Getting Started page (where I am logged in) but shows me nothing that I see in the directions.
Also, the directions say to look for the burger menu in the upper right of the screen. . . I only see it in the lower left.
