My website has this error and cannot be loaded to unlock, what should I do?

I have some restricted content that unlocks once a user subscribes to a YouTube channel and this works well enough for new subscribers. However, if a user is already subscribed to the channel and visits the page (or if I try to view that same page with the newly subscribed user signed into incognito), the plugin returns an error saying “Error occurred during the request. The subscription that you are trying to create already exists.”

How do I resolve this please? Is there an option that controls granting access for current subscribers or does anyone know a workaround?

This plugin has been broken for a while – I’m getting complaints from my visitors that they can’t download the files. Buttons to share aren’t showing up – just the loading icons. Any ETA on an update? Will have to switch plugins and leave a poor review if nothing is fixed…

Estimated. Unfortunately, and after a long time, I have decided to discard your plugin.

Why? Good because, as soon as I finished updating my WordPress to its latest version (5.6) the “internal” buttons (the part where you click) began to “spin like crazy”, literally, heh!

In truth, it is not the 1st. problem I experienced with your plugin.

For example:

I was never able to establish “Like” as something “required per se”. That is, if a visitor was not connected to Facebook and clicked “Like”, 1st. I’d “open” the blocked content, and then “suggest” you sign up.

As for the other button (the one on Twitter) it was “worse” …

This was so because, if a visitor was not logged in, when he had the option to “Do not require that he be logged in” (or something like that), the click of tweet would open the lock and, only later, “suggest” that he register.

However. As for the other option “Require you to register”, it was worse.

This is because even when the visitor was logged in, if they clicked, a message would appear saying … “Unfortunately we didn’t find that tweet (or something like that) and, there would be NO content.

Ergo, I decided to leave it in the 1st. option (not “require” that they are registered) and, “trust” that they were already registered on twitter when visiting my page because, in this way, at least if they clicked, the content would open.

Not to mention the constant errors that appeared in my “Error Log”. For example this …

I’ve followed the documentation to add my own FB App and it seems out of date:

It does not mention the Valid OAuth Redirect URIs which seem to be required. I found a message on the CodeCanyon forum to use this url for the Redirect URI:

This did not work either, but if I edit the Redirect URI to the following it helps by resolving the errors:

https://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=opanda_connect&opandaHandler=facebook

Unfortunately, the Signin with Facebook button just redirects back to the locked content with “Error occurred during the request. Error validating client secret.”

I have double checked the client secret from the FB App and it’s correct.

I have also tried the Content Locker Pro plugin from MyThemeShop, and it works with my own Facebook App without requiring the Redirect URI. However, I cannot nest one locker inside of another with that plugin. Only this plugin has that functionality.

with GDPR there is a risk to use social share buttons, because when the visitor enters your website, scripts are loaded, and Facebook etc. receives your visitor’s IP immediately.

A solution or work around is Shariff Wrapper, which makes social buttons compliant to GDPR.

What about OnePress Social Locker: Are your social share buttons GDPR compliant?

The plugin doesnt work for the facebook in-app browser,
Our traffic is 90% from facebook. So it’s logical for the plugin to work. When I click on the like button it just takes me to a page with infinite loop loading circle.
Can you please see the issue?

We want to track locker unlock as a conversion event in Facebook Ad.

We use Google Tag Manager to track events on our website.

Is it possible to make the sign-in and share locker to fire events and pass information to the Google Tag Manager data layer? If this was possible then we can measure a locker unlock event as a conversion event in Facebook Ad and other platforms

Now social locker won’t accept my license key.
I can’t delete the license from pijlenboogspel.be because it redirects to archerytag.be.

For the facebook share, when the user open windows to share but close the share, the content unlock anyway even if he ha not really share.
