Hello, can this plugin pull Twitter images from hashtags from any place they were posted or do they have to be posted on a specific account related to the Twitter application? Same question for Instagram.. :0) THX !!!
]]>Hello, is Facebook not included as it would be too complex to implement.. or not possible at all ? Thanks.
]]>Hi there,
Everything was working ok, but now, the plugin don’t get any new photos (I’m using it with Instagram) and when I try to run the query manually I get a “unknown error [1]”.
The Instagram client application is ok and was working fine before.
Another bad signal, I can’t remove the API Source also. I was trying to remove it and ad it again…
What can be happening?
Thanks
Seems like YouTube Support stopped yesterday as YouTube introduced its new API (v3, see here: https://youtube-eng.blogspot.de/2014/03/committing-to-youtube-data-api-v3_4.html)
Any chance the plugin will be updated to work with the new API soon?
Thank you!
]]>Hi,
thanks for the great plugin. Question:
How can you grab/scan hashtags or words from a certain date.
Now, i get all results/listings.
thanks
Where I can find a manual? I just can′t make it work alone.
]]>Hello,
I would like to include Twitter as a source, is this already possible?
Grtz,
Bram
I configured the plugin as directed but received the following message (by clicking Run This Query Manually): No results found
what might be going on?
thanks
]]>The Cron feature stopped working on my installation after upgrading to WordPress 4.0. I’m also running a “real” cron job through my server.
Anyone else have this issue? Solution?
Thanks in advance.
]]>Hi there,
Myself and a few other people have worked on getting Twitter OAuth authentication working and a few more improvements to your plugin. You can see a live version of this version of the plugin here: https://www.artspracticum.org/social/ — there is a whitelist on that one, so you won’t be able to post. Our readme file that lists all changes to the plugin is available on the github: https://github.com/mandiberg/social-hashtags
We forked the repository on Github and when trying to make a pull request back to the main branch we get an auto-response saying that it is just a mirror and not the actual branch (https://github.com/wp-plugins/social-hashtags/pull/1#issuecomment-54751872).
What is the best method for us to get this code to you so you can update your plugin?
Thank you.
Michael
]]>Apologies if I’m being super thick here, but I don’t understand how to use this plugin. It’s installed and I entered an Instagram Client ID – but get this error when I try run the query: Error
unknown error [1]
More explanation on how to set this up would help. I can add New Social Hashtag posts, categories and hashtag tags? I’m confused. Maybe if I could pull in some content from Instagram this would make more sense. But I’m not sure even where to start with this!
Thanks!
Hey,
Great plugin overall, thanks for this!
I took videos from youtube and it works great, maybe i misunderstood something but it shouldn’t get videos from Instagram too ?
I mean when i try to get videos from Instagram all i’ve got are just pictures, no video.
I tried to make it work and i looked over the social hashtag class but no success so far.
Thanks
]]>Hi There
We are running a WP site and like your plugin. Can it be extended to allow the curation of both posts and images/video?
Is it also possible to run different social categories on different pages of my site. The site is focusing on the tourism sector and we would like the ability to curate hashtags for different entities. i.e we could possibly curate and show all hashtags on a page for a landmark.
If this is something that you are interested in can you let me know and maybe take it to the next stage?
Thanks
Mark
]]>How can I make the imported images from instagram featured automatically? Other than that great plugin! thanks!
]]>Thanks for this awesome plugin. I’ve successfully built a custom loop to show instagram images using the plugin but I’m having trouble with linking back to the original image. Is there a way to do this with the plugin out of the box?
]]>I am pretty excited about finding this plugin as it answered a specific need of ours on a current project.
For our particular use case, we will be creating a feed of hash tagged Instagram images and it would make more sense for our permalinks to be domain.com/instagram
instead of /social
.
The best way I can think of accomplishing this is by the plugin checking for a filter before registering the post type and tax arguments. I am doing something similar in one of our plugins.
Our plugin is storing the array of arguments in two different variables. Before processing them, the plugin checks if any of the arguments has been filtered by a theme or plugin. If so, the filtered arguments gets passed through register_post_type()
or register_taxonomy
. If not, the default arguments are passed.
If any of this does not make sense, here is an example of how you would customize the arguments by adding your own filter in a theme or plugin.
Thanks again for the awesome plugin. We will still be using it, but this little tweak will make my life that much easier. ??
]]>I really like how the plugin creates posts for each image…very nice.
When I first setup the plugin I manually ran the query from the settings page and when I checked the Social Hashtags posts I see lots of double images in the database. It pulled almost every image 2x.
This may be a bug or you might want to let people know to not use the manual query until after the first query runs or something.
I want to delete the extras but unsure if I should delete the first or second image or if I should just delete all the images and start it over. (site is currently under development)
]]>Hello!
This plug in works great!
But I was wondering if there was a way to have the new posts in the main post area instead of the separate hashtags area?

]]>Hi there,
I have installed the plugin and set it up accordingly for instagram. I see photos coming and am able to access them individually.
However, I want to display all of these as a blogroll of sorts and cannot for the life of me figure out how to display them on the main site. I figured that creating a category would work, but these posts can only be organized under social hashtag categories not regular categories.
How do i display these?
Thank you,

]]>Hi,
I jus installed Social Hashtags and am excited to start using it. I would like to know however, the process for adding additional APIs such as twitter and Facebook.
Thanks
]]>I just saw this as a new plugin and thought I’d point out that it was listed as Social Hastags.
Second h missing.
Was that intentional?
