The only thing you can actually share in the lite version is through facebook. so this isn’t really a social gallery. It’s a facebook gallery. Very misleading, IMO.

Have to agree with DragonFlyFla with this being theorist company ever.
Speaking for other work that I purchased, it is riddled with lasting unfixed bugs, I’ll worked out patches, and deceiving marketing and support that over promises and never performs. Stay away from buying any of this if I were you.

Bought plug in and it distorted all WP galleries. Images are all over the posts, absolute mess. Had to deactive ..and all galleries fell back to normal view.

gives intentionally misleading offers and then is rude wen confronted about it. next time you should thank a person that informs you of that you are doing something that will upset customers and cost you sales. you welcome. As for functionality i could not say. to annoyed and deleted it right away.

For some reason the most essential instruction is the hardest to find in the install guides and help forum. For any image you wish to use as the lightbox, you must change the Link CSS Class to socialGallery. Then it works like a charm. You can find an input box in your Image Detail popup to enter socialGallery, or you can change the code as follows (simplified to just the essential required code):

It’s buggy in an ipad environment, and does not resolve correctly within the ipad screen.
to get it to work you have to pay more.
not happy. useless support.

I loved the idea of this plugin when I saw it on some website. After implementing on my site I found it is not responsive for mobile versions. Only an addon is available which is really not the best way to go, the least they could offer is to disable the gallery on mobile phones option. More than 50% viewers these days are from mobile, so I had to take it down.

Installed the lite version to try.
1. Doesn’t save FB App ID
2. Social Gallery logo in the free version is a bit ‘in your face’. I understand the need to encourage folks to upgrade but still…. make it a bit more subtle!
3. When I click on my social share buttons at the top of my pages, I get a quick view of this plugin appearing. Say I want to share my page to Twitter. I click on the Twitter share button but I get to see the a snippet of this plugin’s lightbox appear… before it vanishes and with no share to Twitter. I click on the Twitter button a 2nd time, then it share to Twitter.
4. Clicking on my share Email button, doesn’t work at all. I get an error saying “You must specify an “href” attribute to the iframe.”
Deactivate this plugin and my social share buttons work perfectly and so it is this plugin which is causing problems.
EDIT: In view of the very positive reply from the plugin author, I have changed the rating to 5.

When I download this plugin all I can see is the settings option, but there are no instructions as to how it actually functions within posts. Or how to use it after going through the settings process. I understand not wanting to have a forum for people who don’t pay for the product, but I’d appreciate basic, accessible instructions. I installed the light version and all I can see is how to upgrade to the Paid version. I can’t add categories, images should be uploaded in a default size – If my picture isn’t 600×800 for example I can’t upload, nor my users! This limitation is useless.. The shortcode doesn’t work, I managed to put only the Upload form to my page. Nothing else… And I can’t ask for help because I didn’t pay for the full version. Does anything know where I can get help or just activate another plugin? My purpose is to create a Photo Contest. ( I already tried with Simple Photos Contest – doesn’t work; and Gallery Share – couldn’t find the shortcode..)
