I have the Snazzy-archives plugin installed and it has been fine until now when I am hoping to change to the carousel so more of our posts are actually seen. I am not a bona fide coder so I need some direction on how to enable that and how to adjust the number of posts that are visible. I understand what needs to be done from the FAQ’s but cannot figure out where to make the changes.
Thanks.
calls first few dates, buts shows function chmod error where data should be
]]>Can the archives be displayed in a widget instead of on a separate page? It didn’t work to put [snazzy-archive] in a text widget.
]]>I was able to use iPad Chrome alright; but there was no click action for iPad Safari until I added javascript to the elements in the plugin’s snazzy-layout-1.php file:
onclick="javascript:window.location.href='<?php echo $url; ?>'"
Why?
SUGGESTION: When the plugin is updated, integrate a check in the (child)theme/snazzy directory for customized snazzy layout files.
]]>I’m using version 1.7.2 of Snazzy Archives but I have a problem in that no blog content after July 2013 is showing on the archive page. The archive page is here: https://www.pm4girls.elizabeth-harrin.com/resources/archives/
Do you know why this is happening?
This plugin used to work fine for me, but the thumbnails no longer show. I disabled all of my plugins to see if there was a conflict, but that didn’t help. I also rolled back to the previous version, and that didn’t help. So, it seems like it’s not compatible with wordpress 3.6.1? I’m not sure when the thumbnails quit showing for me.
here’s a link to my archives page:
https://tbunkers.com/19DrJro
I’ve used firefox firebug to try to see if I needed to change something with the CSS, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I can see the URL for the thumbnails:
element.style {
background: url("https://www.tracibunkers.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/snazzy/4178-67b2620f1171e3871f43bd57cd9a2644-110.jpg") no-repeat scroll center center rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
border: medium none;
and when I hover over that code in firebug, I can see the thumbnail. So why isn’t it showing on my site?
]]>This is an issue with so many plugins. You see a nice example in the screenshots then have to do a workaround to get that example. Why not default the nice version we all see when we found the plugin? In my example below, you see no post titles and the year is cut off on top. Any thoughts on how to get the top of 2013 to appear?

]]>for those of you still having problems making snazzy archives the full width of your page:
1) make sure your theme is not limiting the CSS “overflow” of the theme container divs.
2) edit this file of the plugin: snazzy-archives.js
line 20:
visible:4, // number of visible elements
change to this
visible:8, // number of visible elements
that worked for me:
https://www.helloari.com/archives/
I would love to use this plugin with wp 3.2x
Are you planning to update?
Are there any problems?
Thanks
Peter
Once you enable the archive cache, it never shows the new posts. I have deleted the cache file, deactivated the plugin, but it still does the same. Also once the cache has been enabled, if you disable it, nothing shows anymore.
This plugin has way too many problems, and i wish the author would address them. I really liked it when it actually worked.
]]>Great plug-in. I read about it in a magazine. I’m having problems with one item. The year at the top is cropped. Please help. I’m not a computer expert.
]]>Dear all,
I have a question about the snazzy archives plugin. I’m running it on my site. this is the link: https://harmonieoefening.nl/archief/.
My problem is that the archive doesn’t use the full width of the page. When I inspect the CSS element it says:
element.style {width: 464px}
Problem is, I don’t know were I can find this rule en change it. Can anyone help me with this.
Thank you in advance!

I set up an Archives page and entered the shortcode [snazzy-archives] but the archives remained in list (text) form.
