This did exactly what I wanted and has a very easy, clear interface to work in. It didn’t take long to get the hang of how it works.
Support people are fast, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful – when it started doing different things on local vs live and I couldn’t solve it, they went into my Admin panel and repaired it for me.

Doesn’t seem to work on smartphones, no matter what responsive settings you change. Works well on desktop but completely disappears on a mobile device. Although it has great flexibility, I am hesitant to pay for a plugin that isn’t responsive without taking odd steps to make it work properly.

Free version only used: Finding your way around this is very difficult. It is illogical and very confusing and frustrating, although once discovered it does work. The English is terrible, which doesn’t help.

This is daylight robbery. I didn’t get my paid download and no one is replying to my emails. I registered on their website https://www.nextendweb.com/ the day before I bought this. When I bought it the next day, I got an order ID number and a message saying my download was in my account. When I tried to log into my account, I realized the system had not sent me the password. So I couldn’t access my account. I then tried to reset my password on their site but the system did not send me a reset password link. I tried this again and again. No luck. I decided to complete the contact/support forms a number of times. I did not get a reply from anyone. Frustrated, I emailed them directly at [email protected] and [email protected]. In both occasions I received a “Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender” error, suggesting the email addresses do not actually exist, even though they are listed on their website. So here I am, having paid for this “plugin” and being stuck with the free version which really doesn’t do much. MY ADVICE IS DON’T EVEN BOTHER.

Don’t waste your time downloading and implementing this, you’ll be getting fool’s gold. It doesn’t offer 90% of what it displays in the demos, unless you’re willing to pay. It adds a “Go Full version” on basically everything you’ll try. Better stick with other sliders.
Even developers who creates free sliders with at least 60% of its features know that good quality free products leads to pro sales.
If you’re not willing to pay for Smart Slider, WordPress plugin’s directory has plenty of better free sliders. Now I know why it’s called Smart slider, smart enough on spamvert. Good job on the transparency, I almost couldn’t see it coming.

Look, there are a ton of sliders out there. The interface is good, but just be transparent about how little you offer on this particular plugin. Otherwise, just sell the full and don’t bother with this. There’s so little that you offer in the free version that it’s just a complete waste of time.

I use it the paid version of Smart Slider 2 in conjunction with the Headway theme, because I have very little coding skill but need flexibility in designing our business’s website. So I use it not just for sliders but even for text and image layouts, and it works well enough.
There are still a lot of limitations, and you will have to figure out some workarounds, but for someone like myself it’s a good enough trade-off. Also, the support staff are very helpful in this regard. They’re very willing to help you work things out, debug mistakes, etc.
I guess the only I could think to ask for is more developments to make things built-in going forward (like lightboxes, etc.). But again, I’m happy to do the workarounds for now, what with their support staff so willing to help out anyway.

This is a fantastic slider plugin – I’d have given it 5 stars but it does need a few hours to learn how to use it. That said, it has so many wonderful features and the user interface is a thing of beauty.
I suggest that new users read the (excellent) documentation and view the (good) video tutorials to get started.
After that, I found using the “Import Sample Sliders” feature to be the best way to create my first slider – select the most appropriate sample, then make small changes (step by step) to its configuration. This process enabled me to learn the slider design techniques via the UI and to produce the desired results.

I have quite a lot experiences with sliders, there was always something missing – responsibility, more transitions, more design possibilities…
When I saw possibilities of this plugin, I bought premium version and I can say I am totally satisfied – I have very flexible tool now (even with animations!) for developing modern looking sliders! Support is also very good. So, guys, dont regret money and buy it, this wont be wasting but a good investment!

I’ve been using smartslider 2 for a while now and usually don’t have any issues. Recently, perhaps because of the new wp update, my slider was no longer visible and I couldn’t fix it myself. I contacted the nextend support team and received help very quickly which solved my problem. I needed one more follow up fix which was also taken care of very quickly. Everything seems fine now, thanks guys!

Well, i can tell you that; I am working with many companies and on many websites internationally. This slider is not only very good, flexible and user friendly, it saves lots of custom coding and has a great price/value balance. On purchase I had a small problem with my VPN.
