I’m really happy to have found this plugin. It’s great in all its simplicity. Well done.

Add the shotcode on parent page, create child page (under parent page who have the shortcode….) with password protected option on and it’s done!
As easy as is!
Thanks a lot!
Where can i contibute?

Just works!

Plain an simple does what it says. Hopefully it keeps working over time because it hasn’t been updated for 2 years.

Awesome plugin! very easy to get going, works perfect for what I needed. Thanks!
One thing I ran into was getting 404 errors on the child pages. This was because of a conflict with my permalink/slug:
I tried /clients/ <- plugin shortcode on this page
created the child pages: /clients/client1 /clients/client2 etc…
*but I had an existing page already that was: /our-clients
… and that’s the problem. (it would have worked had i not had the hyphen in our-clients)
once I renamed the entrance page from /clients to /portal it works like a champ!!

This works with 4.3.1.
The directions are a little confusing.
Pretty much all you have to do is create a ‘parent page’. The parent page is where all the people will enter the password. On the parent page you have to include a snippet of code. On the child page you include the information you want have but you have to make sure to make it private and keep the passwords different from the other child pages.
I love this plugin!!

Just installed it with v4.3.1 and it works fine. I have used this plugin in so many different ways for clients and for my own website, it’s become indispensable to me. The developer is very responsive if you have questions or issues as well, which is always a fantastic plus. Great plugin – one of my all time favorites!!

Often I find I don’t need all the bells and whistles that come with membership plugins. There are those times when you just need a page protected? Likely you don’t want to install some plugin that does just that, but also has dozens of other features that you don’t need. And the built in password protect in WordPress is not quite enough.
I had such a moment awhile back. I do a lot of workshops and always post a follow-up page on my site that attendees can access with the slides, workshop notes, resources and links. But often I also offer some kind of a discount on my future workshops, or maybe a discount to another service or premium plugin. And I only want them to be able to access it. That’s where this plugin worked perfect for me.

My client needed to have a login page that would take the visitor to different pages depending on the password. I was expecting to search for hours because it was an uncommon request. Luckily, I found this plugin after someone mentioned it on a forum. It hasn’t been updated since last year, but it works on my client’s website using the version 4.1.1.

Just wanted a way to design a log-in page for password protected pages. WordPress’ password protected page design leaves a bit to be desired.
This fits the bill. Took me a couple tries to figure it out, but once I realized my protected page needed to be a child of the page with your code on it, it all came together.
thanks.

Hi there Guys.
What a great and simple plugin. Very easy to use. I did have a problem getting this plugin to work, you need to get the plugin before setting up the pages. It works really well for, as I have used it, communicating with our clients.
Thank you.
Kind regards
John

I have this working on two sites both WP 3.5.1 https://evinfo.co.uk/ and at https://taybridgeconsulting.com/services/search-engine-reports/
We use it to offer client access to their data based on password.
The only key is that the protected pages need to be a child page of the page with the password request button.
Will be using with another client soon.
Thanks.
