No matter the shortcode parameters, the footer and the rest of the content bellow the slider disappear and the slider doesn’t work.
Hi,
Firstly, thank you for this plugins !
Can we use with all tutorials theme ? If yes, can you show how can I use this slideshow in my homepage ?
Best regards,

Shortcode is not working and breaking the widget theme.
I have installed and network activated the plugin.
I then inserted this code in the landing page on my staging site
[slyd category='all' slydcount='3', nav='show' height='300' width='960px' outline='blue' show_titles='true' show_captions='true' caption_length='200' speed='3000' autoadvance='true' use_featured='true' no_links='true']
However, I see nothing on the page when I view it.

Text displays fine but no image. Child theme of PressWork theme.
Shortcode used:
[slyd category='all' slydcount='5', nav='show' height='300' width='960px' outline='none' show_titles='true' show_captions='true' caption_length='200' speed='300' autoadvance='false' use_featured='false' no_links='false']
Is it possible to use the script manually? As in just link the js and relevant css and then create the slides manually?
I do custom theming and don’t have a use for the automatic inlcuding of posts and what not, and I like to keep things lean and mean.
I tried using Slyd in my index.php custom template and it’s not displaying. I used all your example options but changed the category from ‘foo’ to ‘all’.
Just to test, I tried using the shortcode in a new post. Same options. And then I got this message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 8 bytes) in /Users/montchr/Sites/sitename.com/sitename.dev/wp-includes/cache.php on line 402
Update: Upon reloading, the message changes. I got a message each time similar to this:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1254 bytes) in /Users/montchr/Sites/sitename.com/sitename.dev/wp-includes/query.php on line 1671
The slyd slider doesn’t show in a sidebar or a post. I’ve tried Shortcode in text editor, shortcode in php text widget, php code in template file. For me it has only worked with a slyd shortcode placed into a page text editor…
Theme used : basic (themify free theme)
Im trying to use Slyd on a static front page (Simplethemes Skeleton theme)
https://kucaburra.com/sarah/
I’ve got 5 posts to test the display, with featured images in 3 of them. So far Im just using
[slyd]
This is the output to the page:

<div class="slyd" style="height: px; width: 100%; outline: 1px solid #000;">
Was there something I missed?
