When I add a new slide, it defaults me to the speaker notes. I would like to always be defaulted to the content area of the slide, not defaulted to the speaker notes area.
Tested in WP 5.6, Twenty Twenty One theme.

]]>Hello,
I am looking for a solution, to create a presentation with WordPress and I was very happy to find this plugin. But in my Guteberg editor the only result on the searc term “Slide” is Sladeshare.
Is there no block provided by Gutenberg for this editor yet?
I really need this plugin desperately.
Thanks in advance forany help!
Greetings,
Rob
I am a fairly happy user of Slides & Presentations Version 0.0.39, although I do have a couple of support issues outstanding. I am wondering how much to commit to it, as it is fairly new and I still have quite a few presentations that I need to port away from an older unsupported environment.
I am a (not very happy) user of Avada, and try to keep away from the Fusion Builder aspect of it. (It has trouble working with the Gutenberg block editor, which I am beginning to like.) I have now upgraded to Avada 6.2, Fusion Core 4.2, Fusion Builder 2.2.
You probably cannot answer this, and I will address it with Avada people, but I thought it worth logging here in case anyone else comes across it. I now get a message on every slide when editing my presentation:
‘Your site does not include support for the ‘slide/slide’ block. You can leave this block intact, convert its contents to a Custom HTML element or remove it entirely.’
Presumably, there is something about the new version of Avada that conflicts with S&P’s and Gutenberg’s registration of the slide/slide block?
The presentation itself seems still to work OK, but it is not as easy to edit.
]]>I want to show a list of my presentations with the title and a thumbnail of each. I know I could do a screenshot of each one and use those, or use Iframes, but is there an easier way?
I hoped I could use the Cover image, but how? Or maybe the plugin could store an image of the first slide and I could use that?
telizarose in her How to Create a Slide Deck presentation (excellent – thanks) under 6. Set up Social Sharing Images hints at the possibility:
“If you’re going to share this link anywhere online, set up your social sharing images so that they display something descriptive of the overall presentation. Otherwise, if you didn’t set a cover image, your display image ends up becoming an image from inside your slide deck.”
Hi Ella,
do I understand right that this plug in works like a “Remote Controll” over the internet to show my slide show someone else e.g. in overseas ?
And I can show certain slides without the other person influencing the course?
Thanks for this plugin. I have used it to create a substantial presentation (on my WAMP) and been discovering how to use the Block editor as well.
One minor issue has been that the speaker notes and time controls did not show. I have tracked this down to them using the default body spec in speaker.css which has color #fff; and corrected it by adding color #000; to .speaker-controls-notes and .speaker-controls-time.
Not sure why the body would be white on dark, and maybe I could just have changed that. I look forward to seeing and using future developments of the plugin.
]]>Hello! Been playing around with this and built a couple of lovely presentations that I’m using for a course.
Would be great if there was a full-screen option that wasn’t part of the WordPress admin header. When my learners are going through the slides, they can only view them in the page I’ve embedded it in. Would be great if they could enter a distraction-free, full-screen mode.
I’m also using a Hotspot image on one of the slides and when in full screen the z-index stops it from working properly. Have a look at the link I’ve shared.
Really loving it though, makes for a really nice environment for teaching.
Great plugin. I’m starting to create some full-screen content for students.
What’s the likelihood of long term support for this? Always weary of investing time and effort in creating content using a plugin that might not be around. Thanks for any support.
Love your plugin. I teach high school science and often use PowerPoint slides, but would love to provide students with easier access via a web page and not needing to use a PowerPoint viewer.
It seems like I can only create transitions from slide to slide, but not for items within a slide. I’m wondering if I am missing something, and/or if you hope to provide this in the future.
]]>This looks amazing, nice work! We have a company site with multiple users. Is there any way for users to only see / access their own slides? And taking that a step further, is there a way to share access with specific other users?
Thanks!
]]>Hi,
This doesn’t really need support, but it is about my confusion. I found a workaround, but if Gutenberg is in WordPress and is my default editor, why do I need the plugin for it also? I installed and activated it, which solved my problem… but is compatibility with the native Gutenberg editor planned?
Thanks!
