]]>When you click the above link, it redirects to the WP Login page (for reference, the wp-login.php includes the page that sent it there as a query string.
Once you login, instead of going to the previous page, it goes to the home page.
The only rule I have is 0. [all] with Redirect: all users; Redirect login to: the previous page; Redirect logout to: home page. I have not changed any other settings. I’m using version 3.7.4

]]>Most redirects I’ve set up aren’t working unfortunately.
I did set up a general rule for all users. It’s set to redirect them to a “my account” page on login. Then it’s set to redirect to the home page on logout.
Then I have a rule for admins, authors, editors, and contributors to redirect them to the WP admin area on login. They are also set to redirect to the home page on logout.
The logout redirect fails for all users of all groups. They’re redirected to the login page instead.
The bigger issue is that the login redirect for admins / etc. isn’t working, and they’re being taken to the front-end “my account” page when they need to be directed to the admin area.
I’ve tried rearranging the order of the rules to see if that made a difference, but it did not. The role-specific login redirects don’t work, and the logout redirects for everyone fail.
Any thoughts on how to get this working are appreciated. Thanks!
We are using LiteSpeed for caching and when I test logging in and out from various pages, the page I get sent to after login is often not the page I was on before the login page, but rather the page I was on before my PREVIOUS login session.
I excluded our login URL from LiteSpeed because I was having a problem where I did not get redirected at all but sat on the login URL – with a totally blank screen showing – after I logged in. Excluding that URL fixed THAT problem.
I am thinking that something is getting cached that Sky Login Redirect uses to determine the previous page, so instead of the actual previous page, SLR sees the cached value from a prior login. (In which case users are less likely to see this than I, because they are not likely to login and out and in again repetitively before the cache expires.)
What can I tell my caching program NOT to cache so that SLR goes to the correct previous page after login?

Hi, I need to setup a rule to redirect to previous page after login but it seems rule is not adding after saving the button.
Even if I add the rule and click on save changes it is showing me that no rule added.

]]>I downloaded the “Free” version and thought I would try it for a new clients project and can’t seem to get the redirect to work. This client has about a dozen clients of their own that they have created files for, in a separate program, with an entirely different Domain Name. When I created a sample to test, all the redirect did, once the Login process completed, is to go to their own Home Page. Why won’t they redirect bring the Login process to a completely different URl rather than the original one?

I got this error with the Sky Login Redirect plugin:

The plugin works good, apart from when i either login or logout, the page needs to be refreshed before the user is shown as logged in or logged out?
Any ideas how to make it so the refresh is performed automatically, as this is causing issues with users getting permission errors with hidden content.

Hi,
I cannot save the rules or entries in the plugin backend ,it seems to be like save button is not working.
Redirection after login also not working along with it.
I have tried to disable all plugins except WooComerce and Sky Login Redirect plugin. also i have changed the current theme to storefront theme and i have tried to delete the Sky Login Redirect plugin and reactivated it. but it’s not working..
Also in console we are getting an error like:
“Blocked script execution in ‘**mysiteurl**/wp-admin/admin.php?page=sky-login-redirect’ because the document’s frame is sandboxed and the ‘allow-scripts’ permission is not set.”
“Blocked autofocusing on a <input> element because the element’s frame is sandboxed and the ‘allow-scripts’ permission is not set.”
currently, we are using the latest version of the plugin. also, the site is a network site. could you please check why the issue is happening.

I am using SLR in a root folder WP main install and it is working fine. When I installed it in a second WP install in a subdirectory (I am doing multiple installs of WP each with their own separate files and databases which is permitted in WP), the redirect to ‘the previous page’ doesn’t work. It simply clears out the password field and remains on the login page, although the user is already logged in.
It doesn’t work in the subdirectory when the install is a clone of the main WP in the root. It doesn’t work in the subdirectory when I installed a new out of-the-box WP and just have SLR as a single plugin in it.
My main WP install with SLR which works is located in the root folder of eg. https://www.example.com
My second WP install with SLR which doesn’t work is located in the subdirectory of eg. https://www.example.com/test
I am using Sky Login Redirect version 3.3 and WordPress version 5.6

]]>Plugin function broke after upgrade to version 3.0 — logging in resulted in either coming to a blank page or reloading the login page. Also when I logged in (as administrator) — it immediately deleted a user — I have no clue why, but could see the action from my logs.
Reverting to version 2.7 restored normal function.

]]>Sky Login Redirect is superb and the only WP plugin that redirects like does. Except there is a problem when it come to a user requesting forget password reset or new registration password reset. The following are the steps to reproduce this problem with Sky Login Redirect activated:
1) A user has to login or register to submit a form on a page (the page has been set to limit access to subscriber only).
2) A new user clicks on the Register or someone that forgets password then clicks Get New Password. A verification email link is sent to him.
3) He clicks on the verification link and comes back to the WP site to reset his password.
4) He gets prompted and logs in with his new password.
5) Then the problem starts – He gets redirected back to the password reset page with the message “Your password reset link appears to be invalid. Please request a new link below.”
5) If he requests a new link, then it becomes a loop or he gets taken to his Dashboard page although the redirect was supposed to be to a form he was initially reading.
This is the only scenario where the user shouldn’t be redirected back to reset password after login. Could you exclude just this reset password path from the plugin?

After a recent update, the option ‘the page that the user was browsing prior to login’ doesn’t seem to work, it simply clears out the password field and remains on the logon page. I do have HC Custom WP-Admin URL plugin active, not sure if that makes a difference, it did previously function with both active.

Since some time I have problems with your plugin:
1. when I click in an email on a link to my website, I get the “login”-screen as usual. When your Plugin is active, I have to type in the password twice and I do no longer get to the linked-page but the home page. After the first login the url includes a redirect from your plugin, that is obviously wrong: https://localhost/wordpress_pferd/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fwordpress_pferd%2Fwp-admin%2Fpost.php%3Fpost%3D26734%26action%3Dedit
this used to work a while ago. I do not know when exactly this problem started. When I deactivate your plugin everything works fine.
2. there is a conflict with the theme I am using: Customizr. I cannot open the design-customizr menue any more. If I deactivate Sky Login Redirect, I can open the customizr-design menue as usual.
Can you help?
