When using wpml plugin for multilingual shop, the products of WooCommerce doesn’t change language. I spoke with their support and they informed me that they found that the issue is fixed if they disable the “SKU Shortlink For WooCommerce” plugin. The plugin adds the SKU value to the product URL which breaks the language switcher functionality.
Kindly check the following record that shows how the switcher works after disabling the plugin and then resaving the permalinks: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/9427603?key=659d4dae914850330221eb4eac312433
The “SKU Shortlink For WooCommerce” plugin is not listed on the WPML compatibility list for the plugins – https://wpml.org/plugin/. This means that our compatibility team has not tested it.
Please contact the plugin author and check with them about the issue, maybe they can provide a fix. I also suggest asking them to join our Go Global program so the compatibility team can work with them to make the plugin compatible with WPML, they can contact us with this link: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/go-global-program/`

]]>Hi,
I tried your plugin and ever since activating my website keeps crashing and is very slow.
I delete the plugin but it’s still slow. What tables does this create in the database? I’d like to delete all traces of the plugin.
I have 100k items I think that is the issue.
Thanks!

Hi there
I’m using SKU Shortlink together with WooCommerce Product SKU Generator, since it seems that I can’t generate SKUs for products with your plugin. Please let me know if I’ve missed something and whether it might be possible to generate them automatically using SKU Shortlink.
The problem I have right now is that although the URLs display correctly, when I click on a product I get a 404 error. I’ve tried multiple combinations of settings but nothing works.
Currently the settings are as follows:
Custom URL Format: admin/%any%
Product URL Format: products/%category%/%postname%%sku%
Under Settings > Permalinks, I’ve given ‘Product permalinks’ a custom base: /products/%product_cat%/
..which gives me the correct type of URL, eg: https://www.strainguide.co.za/products/cbd-seeds/dinamed-cbd-feminised-seeds125/
Please let me know if you can help.
Kind regards

WooCommerce is being declared in my themes’ function file. However, I’m having an issue with the product pages’ loading index.php instead of the woocommere templates. I’ve isolated the problem to be happening at least when the SKU plugin is activated. Once deactivated and the permalinks flushed, the correct WooCommerce page template loads. Is anyone else having this issue? Any idea of how to fix? Thanks so much.
]]>I’m having an issue where if I have a SKU with a ‘/’ in them, the url will become something like: domain.com/product/ABC/123
I am unable to change the SKU’s as that would be too drastic of a change for what I’m doing. Is there a way to replace any characters found in the SKU with another character when setting the shortlink. Ideally, I’d be able to replace ‘/’ with ‘-‘.
]]>Hi, the plugin is great and work well but unfortunately, I see that if I translate the website (WPML) do not change the language
How can i do?

Loading WPOnion will increase the database query several times.
Is there a way to turn off the WPOnion feature of SKU Shortlink For WooCommerce?
Hello guys, after pressing “activate” button, the site immediately fall to 500 page. Only DB recovery helps. Does this plugin have conflicts with something?
]]>Love the plugin. Thanks for making it.
Works great in my dev environment. Pushing it LIVE gives me this error…
Any thoughts?

So I updated from 0.5 to 1.2.
First thing which catches my eye is that the old settings are not converted to the new settings. Old setting meta is also not removed. Please check your code, something is off there.
Also I tried to juggle with the settings but my old settings are not working with this new version. I disabled all radio buttons and only wish to have an custom link to my sku’s.
Upon rolling back to the previous version all is working out again.
]]>As soon as i update wordpress and woocommerce this plugin stops working, if i click on a product it redirects home. and if i adjust some settings it throws an 404 error.
Hope you can help uw out cause this plugin has been serving us greatly in the past months!

Good Morning, I have recently installed your plugin and it is fantastic! the first i have found that is almost allowing me to deep link back to a product.
I had hoped originally to be able to use a product sku to deep link directly back to the product, however each product has variations which in turn is causing the product to have multiple skus, i am trying to link back from a facebook product advert which is also causing some peculiarities.
Due to this I am now using the product name e.g
https://dev.thecornishhamperstore.co.uk/product/Ultimate-Cornish-Chilli-Hamper/
which your plugin is then creating a re-write rule to forward to the correct page, fantastic.
However, unfortunately facebook is changing the product name in the deep link to
https://dev.thecornishhamperstore.co.uk/product/Ultimate+Cornish+Chilli+Hamper/
which isnt allowing the rewrite to work.
I have taken a look at your plugin and have been working through it line by line, i had hoped to be able to simply add a str_replace around a postname variable somewhere, however I cannot see anywhere where i could do this.
Your advice would be very much appreciated, or do you have plans to add any additional matching to the plugin in the future.
]]>Hello guys!
Question, this plugin does what it says it does, I was able to add the SKU to the product URL.
However, I’d like to know if there is any way to propagate this SKU to the Add to cart and checkout pages.
Thanks a lot

]]>Hi Author,
Thank you for this great plugin.
I just have a simple question.
I have set my Product URL Format like this : %sku%/%postname%/
and that’s what I expect.
But I don’t understand the meaning of SKU URL Type, which in my case
is : /%sku/%sku/
Regards.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the plugin, it seems that it is exactly what i was looking for.
However I have a problem to make it work.
I didn’t select “Modify product URL” as I want to keep my custom URLs for SEO reasons.
I’ve setup the custom link as https://site.com/%sku%
When I open https://site.com/1234 it redirects me to the correct product URL: https://site.com/category/product-name
However this page gives me a 404 error.
I’ve tried to resave permalinks settings, update products, resave permalink in product edit page, however the problem is still not fixed.
Thank you for your help.
]]>Hi, have a question:
is it possible to keep the original url and only *add* a sku URL ?
I tried but could not get this working!
thanks for any help!
]]>Hi there,
I have used your handy plugin and it works really well. But it somehow has broken our functionality in another plugin where we use wc_get_product_id_by_sku() and add_product_to_cart() functions to add product in the cart based on a sku?
Instead of adding the product in the cart, it takes user to the product page. Above functionality works successfully if I deactivate your plugin.
Any idea why this would be?
Thanks,
]]>Hello,
My link structure is /produkty/product-cat/product-name. In plugin options my setting are /produkty/%sku% In that configuration all urls are displaying main shop page. When I’ve changed plugin settings to only /%sku% link is working (e.g example.com/123) but all others product links (like example.com/produkty/product-cat/product-name) are still showing main shop page. The way to fix it is turning off the plugin and save new URL structure via Permalinks options. What is the proper configuration to show SKU in URLs and make all other Woocommerce links works correctly?
