The plugin still rocks and I am sure that there is no other plugin with this functionality. I am waiting for the latest version which could fix the bugs which are reported an year ago.
Thanks!

]]>Hi, I created a template> added the template> created new user> checked box to use template not default to create site> The site that was created was only the default NOT the template.
The box was checked but the template site was NOT created. Instead it’s just a plain Jane 2012.
NOW, I went to create a new user and site to test it and there is no check box to choose the template.
How do I fix this please?

You can fill out the form to create a blog, choose a site template, but after it says “success” and gives you the url to your newly created blog, it gives a “The website cannot display the page” error.
I have de-activated this plugin and deleted it, but this issue remains! I am clueless to what is causing this problem. Please, someone help me out with this!
]]>Just wanted to find out what I was doing wrong.
Installed this terrific plugin on my Multisite testing server and I build a template site complete with full settings and preconfigured posts with images and categories.
When a user creates a new site, it does not have the posts or the images from the template site.
What could I be doing wrong as I read in the description that I will also replicate the content?
]]>but there was no good way to make the wizards features carry through the confirmation process.
You can pass the arguments from the wizard through signupmeta with:
add_signup_meta filter.
add_filter( 'add_signup_meta' , 'add_meta_wizard');
function add_meta_wizard($meta)
{
$meta['type_option_model_blog'] = $_POST['type_option_model_blog'];
return $meta;
}
and then on the new_blog_action:
change the action to get 6 params:
add_action( 'wpmu_new_blog', array( $this, 'wpmu_new_blog' ),10,6 );
And get the data:
$type_option_model_blog_id = $meta['type_option_model_blog'];
Ihope this helps ??

]]>Hi,
I have wordpress 3.2.1 in hebrew ( RTL )

This is the line affecting this:
wp_register_style(‘scw-smoothness …);
After commenting this line on page=site_creation_wizard
Both
wp_enqueue_style( ‘thickbox’ ); AND wp_enqueue_style( ‘scw-smoothness’ );
causes the same problem.
I would like to know if I let a particular user roles to chose a particular feature set and Blog type.
Example ‘Role 1 ‘ should able to chose feature set 1 ,2,3 and ‘role 2’ should able to chose all
Is this possible with the current plugin.Can you please help me with this?

]]>I realize this topic is sitting on top of a few more along this line, but I don’t think I’ve seen a satisfactory answer yet, so I thought I’d give it a try, as well.
I’m using a multisite setup with WP 3.2-RC4, right now, and no other real plugins to speak of.
When I enable the plugin, it works as advertised — new users can only register a username, and then they’re sent an activation email. When I’m logged in as the Super Admin, I have a new “Create New Site” button under my Dashboard menu. When I log in as a newly activated user, though, there’s no button — just “Dashboard” and “Profile.”
The “Create New Site” button does work properly from the Super Admin’s menu, I assume — kicking me around to the wp-signup.php page with the option to create a new site, and the Theme and Function option choices are there as well.
When I’m logged in as a new user, I can manually go to newusersite/wp-signup.php and see the same options there (qazboy’s solution, below), so it’s working in that sense, I suppose.
I guess I could amend the activation email to include a wp-signup.php link, but that seems less elegant than a “Create New Site” button visible when they first log in.
Any idea what might be happening to the button? All indications are that everything’s “go” otherwise, the darne button’s just not showing up!
If I could get this working as advertised, it would certainly get my vote as most valuable multisite plugin ever! ??

]]>I have been having an issue with the Site Creation Wizard plugin.
I have the latest version of BuddyPress installed as well as the latest version of the Site Creation Wizard. After I network activate the SCW, it creates the settings correctly in the Network admin area as well as creates the “Create a Site” option available on the main site’s dashboard.
However, when I click that link for “Create New Site” it redirects me back to the home page for my site. Keep in mind that I am logged in during this process. If I log out and then click on the “Register New User” tab it takes me to the /Registration page. If I have it so new users can commission sites, some options are there, but I am not able to select a template from the SCW. A screenshot of the /Registration page not showing the options is in the following link:
If I watch the site activity on fiddler I see the following redirects take place:
/wp-admin/index.php?page=scw_signup
/wp-signup.php
/register/
/
Also, if I disable BuddyPress, the link works just fine and I am able to see the SCW options.
I can provide any other information needed I would just like to get this up and running. Any help would be incredible.
]]>Hi, my friends!
I’m about to give it up. Have tried everything in order to make this plugin work. It would be soo great if it would.
Wheeen I succeded in making the plugin show the Create New Site link under the Network Admin section (thanks to someone here that posted that you have to have the Allow users to create new sites option in WP settings) that link gives me a 404.
I have no clue about what other things to try.
Someone?

]]>I am trying to create a multisite whereby users can select “give me a site” at registration. The site that will be created will be very simple for the new user and already be templated with activated plug ins and features. It sounds like your plug-in. Each user will only be given one site (the one at registration). We want to disable the option for them to create more sites. Will the site creation wizard work the way I’ve described?

]]>The plugin works fine with the exception that when a new user goes to set up an account they do not have the option of “Gimme a site”. They must register then start over to get the site. I see in the forum talk about more privacy issues, yet under privacy I have selected “I would like my site to be visible to everyone, including search “.
When I turn this plugin off, the option comes back. ???
What am I missing.

I just setup WordPress 3.1 MultiSite…

]]>Some problems…
I have set up a template backend as super admin, and it works fine.
Logging out and going to https://www.mysite.com/wp-signup.php. At this point I’m able to create an account, but not a site (backend setting allow creating accounts and sites). If I create an account and uses this account to login there is no link to create site? But if I visit wp-signup I’m able to create a new site and the plugin seems to work just fins.
The question is why cant I create a site and an account from signup page? I’m using WP 3.1
]]>The installation works fine and I can see the config pages as well as the modified “add new site”. However, the configuration done in the template site doesn’t get copied to the new sites. For example, the plugins enabled in the template site don’t get enabled in the new created sites.
I’m suspecting that the template site I specified in the site-creation-wizard configuration page doesn’t get detected. The reason I suspect that is because, when I click on “search” icon to choose a tempalte site, it returns “Site ID -1”, so I manually put in the template site name. When I check the link to the “search icon”, it is https://<SITE NAME>/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=scw-findsite&target=typeoption_0_modelblog&TB_iframe=1&height=480&width=800. But I couldn’t find the “scw-findsite” function in admin-ajax.php.

I have created a site as a template, but there’s nowhere on the form to place the ID number. I tried using the fields that already had values and replaced them with its name & ID, however the page simply reloaded.
Can this be resolved?
Thanks in advance,

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/..../public_html/wp-content/plugins/site-creation-wizard/site-creation-wizard.php on line 362
Could anyone help me to solve this and make the plugin work for me?
Thanks !

]]>Hmm,
I can get the plugin to work when I’m logged in as Super Admin, but it doesn’t work for new users creating a site. The “Next” button on the signup form does nothing, and none of the options appear on it.
And, when it does seem to work for Super Admins, it looks as if the types of sites are just listed by name. Since these are tied to certain themes, it would be much more effective to show the theme thumbnail from the chosen theme for each site type. A picture is indeed worth at least 988 words! ??
Please let me know how to get this working for all users. 3.0.1, multisite, CentOS, PHP5, tested in both subdomain and subdirectory mode.
